Before you format the system, do a System Restore (thats, if you're using XP). Restore to the point (date) when the problem occurred. If its a software problem, that will(?) fix it. For hardware, you will have to go a different route. To perform System Restore:

click Start--->(all)Program--->Accessories-->System Tools--->System Restore then follow the screen.

If you still have the problem, lets know and don't forget to post your OS type.

Don't they have Aptech Nigeria site? The link you provided is their global site and has nothing on computer animation.

Does this center actually teach their students the real hands on computer animation or just theory? BTW, do they have a website? I will like to take a look at their course outline.

ComputersRe: Keyboard Master! by Ynot(m): 7:04pm On Apr 01, 2006
Noe that different software packages have different keyboard combination shortcuts. You can find some windows xp shortcut keys here or use google.
But why do you want to make life difficult for yourself? In as much as knowing some of the common key combination is good(in a situation you mouse decide to go crazy on you), the mouse is there to help simplify your everyday work. USE IT. In this day and age, i don't think you will impress anyone by knowing all the keyboard shortcuts there is to know.

Good luck.
TV/MoviesRe: South African Movie Industry Vs Nollywood by Ynot(m): 7:04am On Apr 01, 2006
Nollywood IMO, still lack good sound quality (no coordination in camera movement and sound) and better imaging in most of their movies. But i think they're getting there. And oh, i can't stand most of their court scenes. I thought the contemporary way to address a jugde is 'your honour' and not 'my lord'.  And whats with all the wigs and gown them lawyers wear. yuck. Maybe i've been watching a lot of Law and Order.

I don't think i get you. Are you trying to install Windows 2000 or Office 2000?

Anyways, if the problem is Windows 2000, this will get you in the right direction.

If the Cd is not bootable, create setup boot disks. You will need 4 floppies and don't forget to set your BIOS to boot from floppy drive. If you have more problem(s), lets know.

Did i believe you?

No.

Upon what condition did you claim your tax back in UK?

Free education for where? Even British citizen are not entitled to free education. Jesus Christ!

The cheapest education you can get in the whole world is in Nigeria. Few years ago, though not from rich home, i used to pay for my Lagos friend's fees before they come to school, yet i am not from rich home.

Thank you.
I think cheap education should be distinguished from quality education.

This is what i found out though: Those that pass through the Nigerian school system tends to do good if not better than their class mates in say, UK or America. Not that they know anything better than their colleagues, but the zeal to succeed with the knowledge that you can't 'settle' the lecturer/prof. So they start working hard from day one.

In Nigeria more often than not, you live to work while abroad you work to live. Or is it the other way round. huh
ComputersRe: Project: PII MP3 Juke Box (Using Linux) by Ynot(op): 8:04pm On Mar 28, 2006
Thanks for the quick reply. I don't want to use this system for anything other than store and serve mp3. I already have a linux box. Do i really need samba? I was thinking of using a database (MySQL) and PHP web interface with embedded  media player.

Won't installing full Simply Mepis clog up the system? I'm trying to save on hard drive space.
ComputersProject: PII MP3 Juke Box (Using Linux) by Ynot(op): 6:59pm On Mar 28, 2006
Last week i helped one of my friends move to his new house. After packing all he needed, we found an old PII (256 ram) system down at the basement. I've been wondering what to do with the system instead of leaving it with the rest of his junk for the garbage guy to pick up. I've decided to turn it into a linux mp3 juke box and connect it to my stereo system.

To do this, i'll probably have to re-compile the kernel, remove most of the stuff i won't need and go from there. Also i will like the setup to have web interface. I'm thinking of sticking in a wireless card too so i can listen to my music anywhere around the house with my PDA.

Any suggestion guys? Anyone know of any linux distro geared towards this kind of thing? What else can i do with this computer?

Congrats Consultant!

Pregnancy and child birth has been my biggest fear in relationship. For some reason i can't explain, i don't feel comfortable in presence of pregnant women. I find them very repulsive(i'm sorry if this sounds rude). I lost one of my good girl friends because i mentioned that she would have to go stay with my/her mom when we get married and she became pregnant. Is something wrong with me or do other guys feel the same way?

No, they get banned for trolling. Imagine someone bursts in here arguing that a black man can never be as intelligent as a white man just to get a rise out of us. I felt he was just trolling because what he was saying was very ridiculous and I can't believe he actually believes that python and C++ are similar. Wtf?
If someone say that, you should enlighten him/her then tell him to go f**k himself.
