Really don't know. Thats why i asked. I'm yet to go back since i left but been thinking about visiting come xmas time. |
I've got a question here, say you are goin back to Nigeria from US and you decide to use Nigerian Passport. It will be stamped departure from US and arrival in Nigerian. Right? If you decide to use US passport on your way back, will you run into some kind of trouble with American immigration at the airport because your passport has no departure stamped on it? |
I guess you installed ZoneAlarm on the host computer. ZoneAlarm uses application-base approach to securing your computer and will always block request that is not found on its database. I don't think the free version has network features. I suggest you install it on each of the client computers instead. Unfortunately, that will still leave your host unsecured. |
I have a tutorials on Writing both IA-32 and IA-64 alphanumeric shellcodes. Might be stuff you need. |

Ok, i'm bored.

I try as much as possible to stay away from unecessary argument. You've indirectly referred to me as being stingy because i questioned the forceful nature church leaders us to collect money from members- with the notion that they will remain poor if they refuse to pay. Who is fooling who here. Its all good though. You can give all your money to your pastor if that makes you sleep well. From your postings on this topic, i assumed you are either one of them pastors or directly related to one. I don't want to delve into tithing and its justification but since you've turn it that way, we might as well see the end of it. Funny you only made mention of passeges from the Old Covanent (Old Testement) in your "research". There were no mention of any reference to the New Covanent Law (New Testament), yet you call yourself a christian. Last time i checked, Christianity implies Christ-Like. I don't remember Christ preaching and forcing tithe on poor people (Mat 23:23 ). I guess you didn't read Colossians 2:14: "having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross." Well, i did my own research and found the following: God does not accept money for tithe. Lev. 27:30-34. Currency such as silver, gold, talents and shekels was not allowed to pay tithe. So if you pay tithe with money you are violating the tithe law. Tithe payers are to run every tenth animal under the rod and give that animal as tithe. Why Abraham Paid A Tithe Genesis 14: 16, 18-20 described a war between kings of Sodom, Gomorrah with two ally kings that were defeated and taken prisoner. The victors took the property of the Kings, took Lot, women and children captive. When Abraham heard about this he and his men went after them and defeated the kings. Abraham then brought back Lot and all the possessions as well as the women and other people. Note: The reason Abraham gave a tenth was because of God's deliverance from his enemies. We would call this tenth, "a thank offering". Tithing was not part of Abraham's covenant. Abraham did not give tithe to Melchizedek from his personal possessions but from the spoils of war after rescuing Lot. Therefore we can see that Abraham was not following an unwritten tithe law when he gave tithe to the King of Salem. And besides, the Levitical tithe law did not include "spoils of war." Before the King of Salem incident and after, there is no record of Abraham, a very wealthy man ever paying tithe of his own personal possessions to God. Gen. 13:2:Abram had become very wealthy in livestock and in silver and gold. Why Jacob Paid A Tenth Gen. 28:20-22. Note that Jacob tithed not because of a tithe law. It was based on Jacob's terms with conditions, not God's terms. Jacob would give God a tenth on condition only "if" God would give him food, clothes and protect him on his journey and return him safely to his father's house he would pay tithe. Jacob was not obeying any mandatory tithe law by making his own conditions with God. The tithe law is to be paid with no conditions. There are three different tithe laws in the Old Testament 1. The first tithe law was enacted by God at Sinai and given only to Israel as an Old Covenant law which ended at Calvary. God never included the tithe law in the New Covenant. Read the following again. Num. 18:21, 23-24. The entire tithe was to be given only to the Levites as an inheritance. Do you see the gospel minister listed as receiving tithe? Num. 18:25 through Num. 18:26. The ministering Levite (priests) is to receive one tenth of the tithe they receive from the Levites that do not minister in the Sanctuary. Neh 10:38 - Neh 10:39. The tithe law never included Gospel Ministers. Are Gospel Ministers Levite priests that minister in the Sanctuary under the Old Covenant? It is amazing how Church Leaders can twist the Scripture and quote the Bible out of context to line their pockets and scam their members. 2. The second tithe law is an annual tithe law. Read Deut. 14:22-29. The annual tithe is to be eaten by the Jews. The annual tithe can be converted to silver if you have a large herd and the town was far away to take the animals. If this is the case you can exchange the animals for silver, and then buy wine or other fermented drinks that can be eaten by you, your household, and the Levites at a place determined by the LORD. Has your church ever allow you to use your tithe to have a party and drink fermented drink? You might bring this to your Pastor's attention, that you would like to party with your tithe as commanded in the Bible! And don't forget the Levites living in your town. Your Pastors are not invited, as they are not Levites or Jews. Of course you are not invited either because this is just for Israel not New Testament Christians. 3. The third law as Enigma indicated involves the third year tithe to be eaten by the Levites, fatherless, aliens, and widows. Read Deut. 14:28, 29. Why does your church not follow the Third Year Tithe law and hold a feast for these people from the produce brought in and stored in the towns. Your pastor will not even feed the fatherless and widows from your tithe, but pocket the money. On a final note, Christians receive blessings from God for having Christ as their Savior and not by any works of the Old Covenant Laws. |
This is for 50cent and 50cent only. You will find the answer right here. Don't mind these people telling you otherwise. Make sure you pay for at least 3 hours on the timer and then follow the screen. Click the button 21 times, wait 30 minutes and click the button again 19 times. Wait for another 30 minutes. Don't do anything. Just watch the screen. Watch as the timer goes down. If nothing happened within the first payment, pay for more minutes. Continue until you see result. I guarantee you will get unlimited number of minutes. |
For all you Cisco network administrators, the following tools will enable you manage your network efficiently. 1. PuTTY for SSH access is a Secure Shell(SSH) client that runs on Windows for remote access with an increase emphasis on security. Supports SSH version 1 and 2 with DES, Triple DES, Blowfish, and AES. 2. PumpKIN TFTP server. Most Cisco devices use the TFTP as the primary way to transfer both system image and configuration files. This tool provides a simple, easy-to-use GUI and runs on all versions of Windows. 3. Kiwi Syslog server. Because most Cisco devices use the Syslog protocol to generate system messages, deploying a centralised Syslog server is often recommended. This easy to use but versatile tool provides the built-in ability to listen to SNMP traps. It can also monitor the free disk space on the server. When the disk space falls below a configured threshold, Kiwi generates e-mail and audio alerts--a very useful feature that prevents message from being lost due to lack of disk space. Runs on all versions of Windows. 4. Nmap Network scanner. Originally developed as a hacker tool, mainstream networking professionals now use Nmap for security testing of firewalls, routers, and IDS devices. Nmap can generate ping sweeps to scan a range of IP addresses, verify the working of specific TCP or UDP ports on a target machine, quickly scan the TCP or UDP ports on a target host, and use OS finger-printing techniques to make an educated guess about OS running on the target device. Works with both Windows and Linux. 5. Protocol/Network Analyzer Ethereal is a commercial grade network analyzer that can be installed over any Windows on Linux platform. Can analyze more than 700 protocols, including Cisco specific protocols such as CDP and ISL. Most of these tools come bundled in PHLAK, knoppix-std Live CDs or any other Linux flavor. But the more recent versions can be downloaded from their respective sites. Use with care. Seun will it be possible to add a network section on this forum? |
Your outline resembles that of a typical 'continuous UPS'. The only difference being the power source and the duration of operation. Point is, what kind/make of battery bank will you use to power most business equipment? Bearing in mind that all batteries have a maximum current they can produce per given milliamp/hour of operation rating. How many will be needed per unit? How will the said batteries be connected (serials or parallel and the dis/advantage of each)? Will it be cost effective to whats obtainable to a given generator of equal efficiency. I'm not by any means trying to squash your well thought-out business plan but you need to consider the factors. |
Just like i said in another thread where the issue of oil and control came up, the solution is quite simply. Put a lock-down on digging, tapping, exploring, excavating, exporting and all the other exes on Nigerian crude oil for at least say 4-5 years. There will be no more money to steal, the niger deltans will no longer 'see' an oil contractor to kidnap. There will be peace even if temporary. This time-out period will be used to re-think the way forward. Nigeria survived before the oil boom and we can't actually say that the discovery and subsequent income accrued has helped much. There are still countries out there, without oil i should say, living better life than majority of Nigerians. There are other untapped, somewhat forgotten ways money can be made in Nigeria. Nigeria as a nation has failed as far as oil income management and utilization is concerned. Lets try something else. We will one day exhaust this seemingly everlasting resource. If and when that happens, what are we gon do? |
joftech:In addition to the nice suggestions you all made, joftech hit the jackpot: OIL. We export crude oil in exchange to foreign currency. But as soon as the money hit Nigerian shore, it tends to evaporate into thin air. Who are stealing the money? What are they doing with it? Absolutely Nothing! Any President that will have the balls to put a hold on any/all kinds of oil exportation, at least for 4 years, will be the best President Nigeria will ever have. If there is no money coming in, there won't be any to steal. At least, there will be enough for the masses to use within the country. I think there should be other ways the government can generate money. |
gospelman:What percentage are we talking about here? 2% rich to 98% poor? gospelman:Thats all bull. Don't preach the part of the bible that suits you. One more way to confuse people. Some people actually pay their tithe by giving that 10% to the needy, the disabled, the sick and those who can't work for a living for a good reasons. Not to a healthy man somewhere who think the money is better in his pocket. The Bible tells us the tithe is for the Levite Priests. When did God change the tithe law to include the Gospel Ministers? There is no longer an obligation to support the Levites and Priests as they are no longer working in the Temple. |
I'm not sure i understood whacha trying to do but i will suggest you get Smoothwall Express. Works with any old pc. All you need is 3 NIC card (Red, Green and Orange Interfaces). Red (NIC) Interface connects to your cable/dsl modem. Green (NIC) Interface connects to your secured network. Orange (NIC) Interface Connects to the open network (could be your web server, FTP sever, etc) Good thing is, the system will work as a firewall, server as well as a router. List of services you can enable. The drawback is that the box has to be a dedicated system. Read their documentation to make sure thats what you actually need. Been using it for a long time and the last time i rebooted was like 2 years ago. |
teju oso:Hence they are conducting business and should be made to pay tax. You've got to give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God. nightrider:No one is disputing this and i'm in no means fighting for God on this issue. The question is: What are they doing with all those money? Are they helping the community? The members of the church? Have you seen the kind of rides these folks cruise in? Yet, most of the people that paid for it don't even have a bicycle. Yeah i know, most nigerians are gullible, somewhat lazy and expect manna from heaven but, is it that an excuse to exploit them from someone that calls her/himself a wo/man of God? |
What will she refer the baby as; son/daughter, brother/sister? Unfortunately, this happens more often than you think. One of my friends from Kansas just found out that his wife is carrying her brothers baby. They were too close and he never suspected a thing. In their sick twisted mind, they believe they didn't do anything wrong. Of course, he is now talking to a divorce lawyer. |
Kokscity:Leave the country to where? Most countries don't even want you near em. Be realistic. |
Owning a church has and will continue to be a lucrative business. All you need is the power to convince people; feed em with crap and preach specific section of the bible that suits you and you are cooking. Methink the solution is, to force em to start paying taxes to the government just like everyone else; huge taxes on their offerings/properties and, trust me you will see a whole bunch of em close down. |
Seun:Contrary to that, most white folks think/say we Africans speak too fast. |
May He who dwell in Heaven cause our leaders to stop stealing our money. May He guide OBJ to read the constitution and forget about third term. May He convince our tertiary institution lecturers to teach and not just sell hand-out. May He save us from and eradicate cult members in our universities. May He teach the police not to collect bribes. May He turn Nigerian gay wo/men to straight wo/men. May He inspire our pastors to use the offering they collect to help build the community. May He teach okada drivers not to drive too fast. May He block spam mails from 419ers. May He enable our air plane operators to service their plane before take-off. All these and others we ask in Jesus name. Amen.

I use to believe that an eye for an eye will eventually make the whole world blind but, the recent events in Nigeria has lead me to re-consider that belief. What does the Christians (insert Igbo here if you will) got to do with Prophet Muhammad's picture in a Danish paper? I think they got what they deserve. Its high time someone taught them not to fool around with the Igbos. |
Your friend should check the system bios. Maybe, the system is set to boot from floppy or CD-rom ONLY. If so, change the system boot process to boot from hard-drive. But again, as Skidoc said, its possible there is no OS installed. Lastly, its quite possible the PC is lacking a hard-drive. You might want to check that out too. |
Thats the more reason you need to get your butt outta the house. You don't wanna leave and at the same time you don't wanna take orders from em. Out of sight will lead to out of mind. Distance creates appreciation and appreciation in-turn begets love. Most people live their life thinking that their parents own em something. They don't. Their duty to you is feed and shelter you until you can walk, talk and be able to make rational decision on your own. Anything after that is a bonus and should be of their discretion. |
Then you need VMware Workstation |
You can access System Registry Editor by clicking: Start --> Run and type regedit. Now, messing around with the system registry is not a good thing if you don't know what you are doing. You can easily crash your computer by deleting a registry hive. But its easy once you get the hang of it. By the way, system registry is a hierarchical database of information that defines exactly how your system works, including virtually every part of Windows and its applications. You cannot track/spy on someone using your computer to visit a site by merely looking in the reg editor. There are tools out there that does that. If the computer is truly yours, and you have previledge access, grab a keylogger(let the user know that you're watching em ). Or better still, get Cain and Abel. And before you go downloading all the keyloggers out there, remember, some of em will turn around and bite you in the a$$. |
There are lots emulators out there. Check the following: 1. StarNet's X-Win32 (my favorite. thats what i'm using at work with sun's solaris) 2. Hummingbird's HostExplorer 3. Tarantella's Secure Global Desktop They all don't work with all the *.nix distributions. Check the product datasheet to find out the one that works with yours. Hope that helps. If you need additional information, let me know. |
If you guys can hold of on it till the wedding night, that will be a nice thing to give each other but, most guys in nairaland prefer their woman to be a freak in the sheets. |
MSY:In support of the previous statement but, better still, she should try and convince the boyfriend to "do" it before the marriage. If he finds out well, so be it. Otherwise, shut up, cut all communication with the money-bag, and never ever discuss the matter with anyone again. What you don't know can't hurt you. |
Seun:@ Seun et al I understood your line of thought but the issue here is the knowledge of a target (alluding to what sbucareer said about portability) system architecture towards the use of high level language. You will agree with me that word processor written 21 years ago aint 16,384 times faster as Moore's Law would suggest. Even if you never intend to write a singe line of assembly language code, learning assemble language, and learning to think in assemble language will force you to learn the costs associated with various high-level constructs which will invariably lead to efficient software. Of course, it would be foolish to say that programmers should begin writing commercial applications in assembly language. However, to reverse the trend of software running slower and slower even though CPUs are running faster and faster is going to require programmers to begin considering the low-level implications of the code that they write. |
). Or better still, get Cain and Abel. And before you go downloading all the keyloggers out there, remember, some of em will turn around and bite you in the a$$.
