RomanceRe: The Best Gift A Woman Can Give To Her Husband/fiance. by yomifowe(op): 3:16pm On Dec 14, 2013
In my opinion, the best gift a man or especially woman can give to her husband is...

Her Virginity.

If you do this, he would forever love you for this and the likelihood of breaking up with you would be very slim.

Secondly, this would help build a strong foundation of trust in the marriage.

This is my N5.
RomanceThe Best Gift A Woman Can Give To Her Husband/fiance. by yomifowe(op): 3:10pm On Dec 14, 2013
Recently, I was going through a soft sell, and I was surprised at the fact that majority of the stories in the magazine were all about divorce issues, breakups, extra-marital affairs, pregnancy out of wedlock, just to mention a few. This is prevalent, not only in Nigeria, but a worldwide phenomenon. This prompted me to ask this question. What can be done to ensure that marriages last longer? What is the best gift a woman can give to her man, or vice versa, that would ensure that marriages indeed become 'till death do us part'.

Nairaland GeneralRe: The Execution Of 'Doctor Oyenusi' A Notorious Robber by yomifowe(m): 8:57am On Dec 13, 2013
Sloan: This league of hard core thieves were Ibo, Yoruba and Edo / Benin of those days. Benson Iyamu was Edo, Anini Same. Oyenusi was Yoruba or so? There were also Ibos too and I can come back later with exact names. Capital punishment needs to be re-introduced for crimes like these, kidnapping, armed robbery, murder, high corruption, drug smuggling, oil bunkering, terrorism, gun running or smuggling, etc. Fraud must carry long jail terms of dozens of years and for big fraud, capital punishment with complete forfeiture of all assets. No plea bargains again.
What about the tribe bro? Tribe has nothing to do with crime, an individual is either a criminal or not.

OP,are you a journalist? very well delivered. I suggest you sell this story to Nollywood. At least , it ll make much sense as against the rubbish that is being produced as films in Nigeria todayviz secondary school girls, azonto babes..etc. Good story line.
Jokes EtcPresident Jonathan Declares Three Days Mourning For Nelson Mandela. by yomifowe(op): 7:50am On Dec 07, 2013
Its no longer news that Nelson Mandela I'd dead. He died on Thursday after a prolonged Lung infection. World leaders and prominent personalities have been reacting to the news of his demise. It was announced over the news yesterday that the Federal Govt has declared a three-day mourning period for this great leader. Everyone was enjoined to observe prayers for him in Churches and Mosques. I would have appreciated Public holidays added to it though.
What I don't understand however is the reason why a three days mourning period be declared for him here in Nigeria. Even in his country, three days mourning was not declared for him. What do you think people.

PoliticsRe: Yahoo Posts Offensive Article On Nigeria!!!!! by yomifowe(m): 9:16am On Nov 15, 2013
These are the kind of issues that the Chief Press Secretary to the Federal Government should respond or react to. They can't claim ignorance to such write-ups about Nigerian, however they won't. If it were baseless arguments and issues brought up by APC and other useless political issues, he would have responded before now. Useless politicians.

davidylan: A phd program in biomedical/biological sciences is practically free. Try that route, you can drop out after the masters with no obligations and then try the medical school route (preferably you would have married and gotten a green card lol).
Good idea, thanks bro.

Sagewood: For those of you aspiring to study here in the USA, remember to plan accordingly.
I would recommend that you pursue a program in Healthcare/ medical sciences,
such as Pharmacy, Medicine, Physical Therapy, Nursing, Dentistry, Medical Assistant program,
Dental Hygiene, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Prosthetics & Orthotics and Radiological sciences/ Tech.
These areas currently enjoy high favorability in employment, and will continue for the next 10 years according to the
US Dept. of Labor. This is because of the aging population, and especially the baby-boomers.
No point in studying some worthless courses and you can't even find an employer to sponsor you.
Even if you marry an American and get your papers, finding a job may still be a problem.
This is my 2 cents contribution as a Nigerian American Doctor in the USA.
Thanks Doc.
I intend going for Masters in Public Health. Is it also relevant in this regard? I am also finding it difficult to find an area of specialization.
Pls, what do you think.

someone should be kind enough please. Thanks
You can register for the GRE yourself by simply calling ETS on phone. First, open an account on www.ets.org/gre because you'll provide them with your account login details when you call with which they'll use to log into your account and register you themselves. Second, you'll need to have an atm card. I suggest that you use GTB ATM mastercard as it always works. You'll provide them with the card number(16-digit number on the card's front), expiry date(also on the front) and c.v.v number(the 3-digit number on the back of the card). They'll enter these details themselves and register you from over there. They'll ask you to choose your preferred exam centre in Lagos. Your exam ticket will be sent to your email address.

This option is the best for you as you'll get to register at the official and lower exam fee of $185(N29,000). Registering through agents will cost you between N45,000 - N50,000.

The number to call is +31320239593. Make sure you recharge at least N600 if calling with an MTN line as you'll spend at least 10 minutes on the call.

I believe Toefl registration is the same way, else go to First Logic, Ikeja. I did mine there, paid about 40k then.

I hope this helps.

Spanishmario: How can I get to know the cost of a master degree in different schools coz most official skul sites don't include the fees
You need to search for it. The fees are most often than not under 'Future /Prospective Students' link under Tuition and fees, or you can use the Search box on the site. Hope these tips would help.
