It was my staff that first saw the bird. I thought it was one of those birds but to my amazement, it was a rare birds which the Benin people call "Sughusughu". So maybe the Benin people can enlighten me more on it. I was tempted to kill the bird but I decided to trap it being the animal lover I am. Though am still waiting for it to turn into a human as generally believed by some natives. More updates on it later.

Nairaland / General / Pastor Broke His Silence On US Presidential Candidate Donald Trumph. by Yommiefish(m): 8:16pm On Feb 26, 2016 |
As the father of three daughters, I reserved
the right to interview their dates. Seemed only
fair to me. After all, my wife and I’d spent 16
or 17 years feeding them, dressing them,
funding braces, and driving them to volleyball
tournaments and piano recitals. A five-minute
face-to-face with the guy was a fair expectation.
I was entrusting the love of my life to him. For
the next few hours, she would be dependent
upon his ability to drive a car, avoid the bad
crowds, and stay sober. I wanted to know if he
could do it. I wanted to know if he was decent.
This was my word: “decent.” Did he behave in a
decent manner? Would he treat my daughter
with kindness and respect? Could he be trusted
to bring her home on time? In his language,
actions, and decisions, would he be a decent
guy?
Decency mattered to me as a dad.
Decency matters to you. We take note of the
person who pays their debts. We appreciate the
physician who takes time to listen. When the
husband honors his wedding vows, when the
teacher makes time for the struggling student,
when the employee refuses to gossip about her
co-worker, when the losing team congratulates
the winning team, we can characterize their
behavior with the word decent.
We appreciate decency. We applaud decency.
We teach decency. We seek to develop
decency. Decency matters, right?
Then why isn’t decency doing better in the
presidential race?
The leading candidate to be the next leader of
the free world would not pass my decency
interview. I’d send him away. I’d tell my
daughter to stay home. I wouldn’t entrust her
to his care.
I don’t know Mr. Trump. But I’ve been
chagrined at his antics. He ridiculed a war hero.
He made mockery of a reporter’s menstrual
cycle. He made fun of a disabled reporter. He
referred to the former first lady, Barbara Bush
as “mommy,” and belittled Jeb Bush for
bringing her on the campaign trail. He
routinely calls people “stupid,” “loser,” and
“dummy.” These were not off-line, backstage,
overheard, not-to-be-repeated comments.
They were publicly and intentionally tweeted,
recorded, and presented.
Such insensitivities wouldn’t even be acceptable
even for a middle school student body election.
But for the Oval Office? And to do so while
brandishing a Bible and boasting of his
Christian faith? I’m bewildered, both by his
behavior and the public’s support of it.
The stock explanation for his success is this: he
has tapped into the anger of the American
people. As one man said, “We are voting with
our middle finger.” Sounds more like a
comment for a gang-fight than a presidential
election. Anger-fueled reactions have caused
trouble ever since Cain was angry at Abel.
We can only hope, and pray, for a return to
decency. Perhaps Mr. Trump will better
manage his antics. (Worthy of a prayer, for
sure.) Or, perhaps the American public will
remember the key role of the president is to
be the face of America. When he/she speaks,
he/she speaks for us. Whether we agree or
disagree with the policies of the president, do
we not hope that they behave in a way that is
consistent with the status of the office?
As far as I remember, I never turned away one
of my daughter’s dates. They weren’t perfect,
but they were decent fellows. That was all I
could ask.
It seems that we should ask the same. https://maxlucado.com/decency-for-president/ |

# Sorting/Grading: Sorting Is another critical element. Maybe this point should have come earlier, because it is that crucial to a profitable fish farm. This helps in balancing your fish growth. I wrote extensively on the importance of sorting and grading in this link: https://catfishplus./2015/07/23/why-you-need-to-contantly-grade-your-fish/ You need to know that no matter how hard you try, all your fish will never grow at the same pace. The onus is on you to ensure this balance through constant grading and sorting. |

Religion / Behold, the Face Of Winners' Chapel New Resident Pastor. by Yommiefish(m): 7:10pm On Jan 10, 2016 |
It began as a very “pleasant rumour” in some quarters; many talked about it in hushed tones; others wondered who was going to replace Pastor Ubong Ntia. However, confirmation came earlier today (January 9, 2016) at exactly 11am at the 2016 Annual Workers’ Forum which held at Faith Tabernacle and transmitted live. Pastor David Oluwamakinde Oyedepo (Jnr), the Oral Roberts' University graduate and first son of the Presiding Bishop, was officially announced as the Resident Pastor, Faith Tabernacle, Headquarters of the Living Faith Church World Wide, amid standing ovation and shouts of Glory from the congregation. There’s a lot to write about this humble man of God and son of the Prophet, especially what God did in the UK under his leadership, but first, read how his wife, Mrs. Kemi Oyedepo said “See You Soon” to Winners’ Chapel London on her Facebook Page: “So we have officially said "see you soon" to Winners Chapel London!I salute you all!!It was such an awesome ride. It's a special place to me because that is where I came in as a Pastor's wife. And everyone embraced me and allowed me to grow!!That is where I first learnt what it means, among other things, to carry the joys, sorrows, and burdens of so many other people. That is where I was stretched beyond my wildest imaginations. That is where I grew so much spiritually. That is where I learnt to put not one or two people first, but a great number of people. In all, it has been a great privilege. There is still so much learning to do but I am so grateful for where it began for me. And I specially thank God so much for the privilege of standing by this great vessel, David Oyedepo Jnr and supporting him as God engraced me to! The growth we both experienced here in the span of 7/8 years cannot be explained or denied. Thank you Winners Chapel London for your unwavering love, acceptance, support & most especially your prayers (never ever stop praying for us)! I never knew I could love so many people at the same time. To you all, from the bottom of my heart I say thank you for allowing me to be part of your life, your growth, your family, and so much more in my own small way! Keep the fire burning & keep looking to God, who is your ultimate rewarder! The path of the just must shine brighter so we are only moving towards greater shinning! I believe God that the same will be your testimony! You will always have a very special place in our hearts!I look forward to your ear-tingling testimonies!Remain upheld by the Word of His power. UNENDING HUGS TO YOU ALL." livingfaithmedia..co.ke/2016/01/behold-our-resident-pastor-faith.html?m=1 |
