And they say "Love is Blind". Apparently, Love has regained its sight. |
Na wah oh! Over here we can't even get Paved road. Over there they are getting Electric road. |
Vote for me Nigeria! I promise not to steal anything, my joy would be watching the country develop piece by piece, and at an alarmingly fast pace. |
lorretta u:haha, supplies! |
martin92: Dats wat i lick everidae wen my bf cums. No big deal, i can use itSo Martin, yes you Martin, so you have a boyfriend? I find that quite strange Martin. |

Mr Aboki: [b]On the issue of Plate Numbers: I have to disagree with you here. I still have my plate number from my Vehicle inCanada which I sold before leaving. The Plate is tied to me. When I sold the vehicle, the owner simply had to go get new plates. Whenever I decide to go back to Canada and get a new car, I will simply append my new plates to the car and register the plates to the new car. Ths is not a problem at all. the Plates serves as an Identifier to the owner of a vehicle. Remember, a vehicle cannot commit a crime, its the owner or the driver that is held liable for whatever offences that is commited with a car. This policy is very welcomed.Where as when someone I know who was selling his car in the U.S, simply sold it with the license plate, signed the title and reported the car sold to the appropriate authorities. The new owner had to do a change or ownership, and registered the vehicle in his name. |
Tell the guy to draw a car with pencil on the wall. Then tell him to move the car and if he can't then, oh well. This was done to me , and that truly was one of the most confusing experiences in my life. After getting a few slaps, I decided to try and outsmart my oppressor by animating the car, drawing more cars to make it feel like the car was moving. I tell you there are some psychos in this world. |
Hahahaha, look what the OP has caused, made me spill my Alomo everywhere. Nigeria, Nigeria, we sure know how to set our priorities straight. |
I don't understand this license plate thing. Shouldn't a license plate be registered to a Person AND Vehicle? Why does it have to be one or the other? A license plate data pull from a database should give you the owners name and the car registered, what am I missing here? |
I wonder is the guy that did the burning will be able to defend himself in the court of Law. Will the emotional hurt felt by him be enough to serve as justification for his actions? |
miketonic: As long as the man did not rap$e or molest the mother or daughter...he should not have burned or killed. Having sex is a personal relation situation , u either agree with the person u having sex with or accept money for it . The guy who set the man on fire need to be sent to jail or even executed. Am a judge in America so, I know what am talking about.Mr. Tonic, haba! Never say never with regards to visiting home. I know some Nigerians are very successful abroad, Engineers, Doctors and all and Nigeria might still be a jungle, lol, but I think progress is being made. Who knows, in a couple of years, Nigeria might finally get it right and be the envy of other countries. For instance, KFC is now everywhere in Lagos. Never ever would I have believed that Nigeria would get a KFC, next might be Mcdonalds, and so on and so on. |
I'm not a lawyer, but I sympathize with you, our police are just something else. Hope you find someone to champion your case, I also wouldn't let it go if they did that to me. We will keep exposing them. |
I am really impressed by Fashola's level of dedication in ensuring these projects are completed. However we need more from you Mr. Fash, especially in the area of indiscipline, if we are to have saner transportation times ahead. The indiscipline in Lagos is just too much and we need to start curbing that. Even on the lekki expressway, one of the best roads in Lagos, you still have almost everyone driving like a maniac. Nobody respects their lanes, some people even drive on the lanes. During traffic, the road turns from a 3 lane road to a 5 lane road because of these maniac Nigerians. I see accidents on a monthly basis on that road, mostly at the roundabouts, were these maniac Nigerians mostly get confused and start swerving into the lanes of sane Nigerians. Danfos seem to constitute the most headaches with their brazen disregard for any other vehicle on the road, and just like dying men with nothing to lose, they wield their dying vehicles with the same attitude. Governor Fash, I see no reason why this impunity on the roads should continue, please empower LASMA with the technology, bikes/cars and the right personnel to curb this driving insanity. |
Oldest trick in the book. Create the virus, and sell the anti-virus. |
gramci: chei, see Down Down YHadoken is down forward X. |
Well those heels were made for walking, and that's just what they'll do, and one of these days these heels are gonna walk all over you! |
The hearts of some men are truly black, and decayed. The way he cried out "Why God, Why?", that really got to me. I kept putting myself in his shoes, and wondering what I would do in that situation. It would be like trying to dialog with a hungry animal that just wants to eat you, it can't understand reason, it can't understand your pleas, it just wants to eat you. These men are animals, I don't know of anyone I went to secondary school with here in Nigeria that would partake in such. |
There goes the collapse of the mosquito industry, albeit temporarily. I am shorting stocks of insecticide sprays. Although they are still effective on cockroaches, so I might have to put that strategy on hold. Anyways Mosquito nets should see a slight dip in sales, as well as mosquito repellent jellies. All this would occur until the next evolution in mosquitos, where they will be sporting the new parasite, phylum Apicomplexa II. |
MaximusDMeridux: 5. Yes it is One Nigeria while it lasts, visit other parts of the country without a visa, do business, have customers there, in fact live there and pay taxes abeg"Other peoples land", hmmmm. So if indeed it is other peoples land, then why are we still together. I am just being a neutral observer here, but going by your response, it would seem that your solution would be to devide the country, cause there really is no point in calling Nigeria "My Country", if my aspirations will be limited to certain geographical locations within this same Country I call my own. |
Which kind fish we dey talk about, is it Geisha or Sardine? Gimme that money and the fish project is as good as done, once I hit up every Shoprite in the Country. Sorry oh, if you go there after me looking for sardine, they will tell you "Sorry sir, our fish has finished" |
I laugh when people say "ONE NIGERIA", with the present tribal conflicts everywhere. In this "ONE NIGERIA", can an Igbo person become a governor in the north? In this "ONE NIGERIA", can an Yoruba person become a governor in Anambra? In this "ONE NIGERIA", can an Hausa person become a governor Lagos? If the answer to these questions right now is no, then why do people say "ONE NIGERIA" I believe going forward, we need to shed the disdain we have for each other, and work on building Nigeria together. In this Nigeria, every Nigerian should be able to govern any state he resides in. That alone will do wonders in moving our democracy forward. Meritocracy will have to be favored over tribalism. |
Well obviously there would be a lot on my to do list, but going by the rules of the thread, below are five of the numerous things I would do if I were to become the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. 1. Accountability: As the President of Nigeria, I will owe the citizens of Nigeria nothing less than the true accountability they deserve. Being a bit tech savvy, I would ensure that all projects are accessible via the Nigerian Information website. This site would cover every project from the medium sized scale to the large scale, and every Nigerian with internet access, would be able to log on to the site, and view developmental timetables within their vicinity and all over Nigeria. After all, these projects are for Nigerians, and Nigerians deserve to be in the know all the time. The only exception to availability of information on the site might be defense projects for security reasons. 2. Police Overhaul: For a society to function optimally, it will need to be well policed. So there is no surprise that this would be on my list. I would move to completely overhaul the police, transforming the institution to one that inspires confidence in the citizens. Among the overhaul process would be setting a minimum of a University degree to be enrolled in the force. I would ensure that Police academies and stations around the country are equipped with the technology needed to bring the Nigerian Police into the 21st century. I would facilitate the increase of the Salary of the average Police officer to N150,000, and once in a while, I would look into cases of police malpractice, especially those that go viral (enough to attract my attention) and ensure that said officers are punished to the full extent of the law, which would serve two purposes. One it would serve as a deterrent to other officers from engaging in such malpractices, knowing that the president once ensured that justice was served to their colleague, and two, it would serve as motivation to the citizens to keep being vigilant and thus move the society forward. 3. Electricity: I intend to declare a state of emergency on electricity if that were possible. This would simply mean all processes from the planning stages to the final lit light bulb in a house, would be expedited. I would facilitate the privatization of the Generation, Transmission and Distribution aspects of Power. Once this is achieved, the government would simply serve as a regulator, and would assist were necessary, for instance in areas of tax breaks to power investors, free land, and so on. Once this is achieved, I believe competition would be fostered within the private sector, with the customers being among the beneficiaries. 4. Education: No child should be left behind (I believe that is from President George Bush). As the President of Nigeria, I would hold on to that phrase, "no child left behind", and would partner with NGOs around the country to champion that cause. Government scholarships would be awarded to less privileged children, and NGOs that have also championed the cause will offer scholarships as well. My government will be on a mission to ensure that most Nigerians are literate, and can move the country forward. 5. Scrap the NYSC: This really is a random one I decided to throw in there, but what a monumental waste of time and resources the scheme has turned out to be. As the president of Nigeria, I would move to scrap this outdated fossilized system. A system were the best Nigerians are barred from participating in the Government because they haven't spent a year in a village is not a system I want in the 21st century Nigeria. A system were students that just passed out are made to teach other students without acquiring any teaching skills or teaching certificate is not a system I want in the 21st century Nigeria. A system that encourages the brain drain and discourages migration of professionals back into the country is not a system I want in the 21st century Nigeria. There is so much I would do when I get there, but I have listed 5 that I think are noteworthy. |
Originalsly: Just goes to show the level of brainwashing....would he be so angry if the guys were smoking cigarettes?...cigars?.. drinking alcohol? I am sure if he smoked some weed he would've been too mellow to commit such a barbaric act.Lol, the guy before weed would be like "yeah, I'm gonna kill these guys". After a few hits, his like, "you know what, it's all gooood". |
Gamesmart: I wonder where people like you hide their brains. That only applies if it was intended to be a sting operation. In America, if you offer a bribe to a police officer, you get charged. So there was no need to diss the guy, he had a very valid point. |
Adeleke Akinola: Give me examples of people who smoke indian hemp and it leads them to being decent or a moral. We sud not be afraid to say the truth cos that is wat can set us free,u c ur younger one stealing u dd not talk becos u dont want to judge hhhmmm u beta watch it before God will judge u. Thou wat the man dd was very bad but to smoke indian hemp is bad especially when u do it in public.Say what? President Obama was recorded on video saying he smoked weed, and a lot of professionals also. Don't know why people associate smoking weed with criminality, besides the stupid marijuana laws. Just cause someone smokes doesn't mean he is gonna carry a gun and start shooting people, or committing crimes. They are more likely to eat a big burrito/shawarma and go to sleep. |
The kind of people that are in this world. |
