oladiboy: I hardly safe money because my salary always has a negative sign- before month end. see you ;Dhow much i want save? You may have to get a better job, if the one you have currently cant meet your basic needs. |
Seun should quickly make me ambassador of nairaland. I will accept $100,000, and in cash please, don't want to experience bounced checks again. Seun, are you hearing me? I already have my white tee, with naira logo, ready to go. |
On a regular day, 25% is fine. However, when u earn 18k min wage in Nigeria, and have to spend 500 naira a day for transport only, leaving about 6k behind, the math starts getting a bit fuzzy. |
toheeb12345: I am a master with jin kazama bro ...I have it for sale 5k call me on this number 07032298283Hey tried calling, but they said u weren't around. I will call back later, is it possible to meet up in VI or Lekki? |
okpara ugo: So 40,000 is too small for the least paid in the force admitted on SSCE. Okay, i know some university graduates earning 10,000 on teaching jobs.40,000 is too small for police, bottom line. |
Smartie gurl: Hmmm! Is just confusing how some pastors will preach that one day we will all die and yet still shout the prayers of ''you shall not die'' ''you will live an eternal life'' and stuffs like that.I don't understand your post, we will live forever in the new kingdom. Unless you meant he said we shall not die in this world, but I don't think any pastor would preach that. |
I need Tekken 6 badly, please anyone in Lagos that has it should please drop info. Also if anyone plays Tekken 6 and is at least a 4th Dan, holla at me. |
No one? I need that game ASAP, I don't have mine anymore. |
Ola Johnson: It's not an Eastern airport, but a FG airport.Which is located in the east right? |
Need Tekken 6 in Lagos, if u have it please drop your contact info. |
Ileke-IdI:Can you imagine such BS, 14,019 Megawatts by December 2013, lol. Can't these guys in government ever keep their promises. |
Although if the generation aspect of power has been unbundled and the market open to all investors, then building a power station will be a very smart investment for any individual that can secure a loan, or has the cash. If I had the money, I would power up a small city like Festac Town, or Satellite Town. Don't think those places require more than 10MW to have uninterrupted power supply. |
omanzo02: Why must it always be 'we will add'?, I was expecting to hear ' we have added'.I don't think anyone can blame you for your pessimism, I too have been hearing "will add" since I was a baby. |
@OP, I didn't even read your post. I feel like if I do, I would feel like smashing my computer again, can't keep replacing them. What do we do? How do we do it? What are the steps? We need answers baby, we need solutions. I almost feel like the whole of Nigeria has to come together and have a meeting, yeah, I think its that bad. I would probably settle for 100,000 Nigerians coming together to say enough, and demand for accountability. How do we get these 100,000 people on the same page though? Without some V for Vendetta type Shhh! |
rosebowl01: By insult, and calling people names, I directly and indirectly said "some Ibos", and my grudge with him is his one-sided view of which people are guilty of it. He also came reeling out names of 90% of people from his village that are supposedly buying up the new project. What do you think is the point he's trying to make with that list? What is wrong is WRONG! regardless of the direction that it is coming from. You can't just choose side because it is convenient for you.Fashola gets his props, for creating the enabling environment for this project, and if they are able to complete it, then posterity will forever remember him fondly. However it is still a business, which I thought was the point he was trying to make. In that case property would be rented or sold to people who can afford it, be they Americans, British, Nigerians (Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa..) and so on. |
PapaBrowne: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887324251504578581570831563906.html#articleTabs%3DcommentsIs this real? If it is, then I am pissed. |
rosebowl01: E tire me my brother. I'm very objective with my opinion and would not deny seeing Yorubas attacking and calling Ibos names. I do not like it, I think it's wrong either way, but what do you do when you're being called names, and are expected not to respond due to the fear of being labelled "a bigot"? What do you do when a man comes to live around you in search of a better life, then turns around and starts telling you that he's your lord now, and that he's superior to everyone else in Nigeria? When did that dude ever insult anyone on this thread? I am still searching. |
Kairoseki77: You were chanting Africa, Africa, Africa!Isn't it the pride of Africa, or should I say, the pride of Nigeria? |
Does this mean that a private investor can now invest in power in Nigeria? I mean, if I wanted to build a power station now, can I do so? That would be a very good investment. |
I was feeling your write up until you started stereotyping each tribe. In doing such, you create a further barrier to we Nigerians coming together collectively. You say, the Yoruba man is this, the Igbo man is that, the Hausa man will do this and that. I truly hope that this does not categorize Nigerians in general, with their personalities limited, or already defined for them, based on their tribe. When a thief gets beaten in public in the menacing act of jungle justice, do you think the people in the crowd are asking themselves, "What tribe are you from?", or do you think they are asking the thief "What tribe are you from?". My answer would be no. In that instance they are united, although in a barbaric act, they are united nonetheless in their quest to punish the thief. In such a way, I believe Nigerians would be united in their displeasure of the state of things, and take a unified stance should there be a revolution "spark" that sets things off. |
On the real though, with regards to number 2, I do get very irritated when my headphones become tangled. They are even tangled right now, such a pain, all the fidgeting trying to untangle them. |
lomomike: 1. No matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow, if you make up your mind.Ladies, please do not be annoyed. I am simply following rule number 8. |
Mr. Johnson, you have stated the obvious, but I commend you for taking a stand against malpractices by the Nigerian Police Force. You said, "If you investigate our men, you will discover...", and I ask why if? Why shouldn't there be a basic investigation of persons being admitted into the Police Force. I remember seeing here on nairaland, an episode of police extortion that was caught by someones hidden camera in his car. It was later discovered that the Police Officer in the video, didn't even bear his real name. When I think of a database, the first practical examples that jump into my mind are always, Immigration Database, Web Database, and Police Database. That just goes to show, I feel it is a given that such entities, i.e, Immigration, Web, Police have Databases to be able to organize their information, and function properly. However, when you visit the nearest Nigerian police station, which is completely devoid of any technology, one starts to wonder how they carry about successful investigations. Mr. Johnson, truth be told, any government that is serious about police would have to revolutionize the system, and be committed to it, almost like starting afresh. |
lastpage: I agree with you 101%.Thank you very much, we need people like you for the future of Nigeria to be bright. I see no reason why all roads shouldn't have road markings to promote saner driving. With regards to Oga Fash, as you said all the new roads constructed by him have perfect road markings. I just wish he would extend that to every single road, both existing and new. |
victorazy: Yes bros!Nice breakdown, I feel like I'm in my Electromagnetics class all over again. |
victorazy: Bros there is nothing like "Electric road" for safety but just a coil attached to the wheel. series of wires being magnetized by another coil to induce curent and the current sent back to the battery (is very simple cuz I'v don it b4).I thought the article said the road was constructed with special cabling to allow for charging the batteries when the vehicles are in motion on the roads. |
Immune#1:These are the worst, I don't mind if you are going to drive fast, but do so in your own lane. Nigerians hardly respect the sanctity(so to speak) of lanes. Being in your own lane should give you a sense of security when driving by other vehicles, knowing that nobody is going to suddenly converge in on your lane. Staying in your lane, and using your signal to get out if need be, should be enforced in Nigeria. |
Goal.com:I am sure if it was Naija police guarding at such an important game, the policy for any fan that decides to "invade" the pitch, would be Shoot on Sight! "Quick, shoot am, shoot am, before in reach Ronaldo." |
pekelepekele: & y are the galz also saying yes to their request , in fact i pity some gals that doesn't know wears quality .Lol, but you gotta make the most of what you have. At least he has the decency to take a shower, coil his hair for the ladies, use his Sosorobia cologne, and starch his okrika shirt. When he blows up now, he can switch it up to Head and Sholders shampoo, Givenchy Cologne, and Louis Vuitton Shirt. |
I don't understand this thread, just a visit? No theme, reason.... makes front page? I see how it is. Anyway sha, me am going now to visit my girlfriend. I will post pictures later. |
