Honestly I am not sure how I can prove it to people, maybe by my actions, I'm not sure. I have experienced him personally, but obviously people can't see what I saw of feel how I felt. I would say this though, that the evidence of God is in creation. As an Engineer myself, I love to think outside the box creatively, whether in software design, or instrumentation design or whatever. The key here is that in any project design, there is a lot of thought that we put into it, each sub system that forms the whole design needs to be planned carefully, and executed correctly. In the same way I look at the universe, and I know that it was designed intelligently, I know that it did not happen by chance. The way that I can raise my fingers just by thinking, I can breathe in air that I can't see, the massive body of heat that is the sun that shines on us but doesn't kill us, the way the earth rotates and revolves causing day/night, and seasons, the way all the nerves in my body are linked..... So many things here tell us that this world was designed for us, and we were designed for the world, its just very hard to refute that, and in accepting that, then one has to accept that there is a Creator. |
John Frankling: Hahaha,Nigerians and our love for money,he could have faked his death, na him coffin dem for use sharpaly bury amThis is not just a Nigerian thing though, some humans are just evil. In the U.S, crimes against family members may even be worse, since they have very comprehensive life insurance policies there for family members. I hear cases all the time of wifes trying to kill their husbands to cash in on the huge life insurance policy, and vice versa. in one case the woman wanted to kill the man, so she could claim the $1,000,000 life insurance. My own is that I just don't understand how people of the same blood can turn against each other, that is beyond evil. |
Okija_juju: General Warning:: FILMING AN OFFICER ON DUTY IS NOW ILLEGAL IN NIGERIA..Tell me this isn't true, tell me you are joking. Please is this a new law or what, can the police just formulate a new law like that? |

pekelepekele: They don't deserve it but they are getting that pay because of the "BETTING WORLD" . Do you know that 70% of sport fanatics are into sport betting?Of course they deserve it, its not like they are getting the money from some unknown source, no. The money is coming directly from you and me that pay our hard earned cash to be entertained by them, and from sponsors that also make money indirectly from them by sponsoring them. Even if you do not pay to watch them personally, so many people out there have goals of saving up money so they can go see their sport heroes live. Regarding sport betting, that is nothing but excessive greed on the part of any player that intentionally throws a game for additional financial gain. |
Look at it this way, if you can get a couple hundred or thousand of people to pay you on a regular basis, then of course the money will pile up. Imagine if you had a talking goat, and you start charging your neighbors NGN1,000 per conversation, and then the whole city, and country, everybody wanting to pay to see your talking goat, of course you will be a rich man, duh! Speaking of GOATS, Kobe, one of the GOATS, earns a whopping 30 mill for LA Lakers.

maclee: well its depends on the rating of the solar panel and the charger, you may decide to add an extra battery and it will charge perfectly.. But adding the solar panel can result you adding a simple circuit that consist of zener diode to cutoff the voltage when it is fully charged and when it sense another voltage from other sourceThanks for the response, I'm looking in depth now into charge controller specifications to see if any would fit this situation. |
Thanks guys for the responses, I am looking at spec sheets now for different charge controllers to see all their functions, besides the obvious stepping down of the solar panel voltage to match that of the battery bank. If all else fails, I would have to manually trigger the breaker for the solar panel whenever there is light, but that would be very stressful. |
I am trying to connect solar panels to my existing inverter-battery system, were the inverter currently charges the batteries. Giving that the inverter charges the batteries, if I add solar panels to the mix via a charge controller, won't that overcharge the batteries? I can't find literature online pertaining to the Nigerian situation, as most topics discuss either on grid or off grid systems. |
Hey Mr.Maclee you seem rather knowledgeable about this. Please do you know as much with regards to solar panels and charge controllers? I would like to connect solar panels to my existing inverter-battery system. The case now is that the inverter charges the batteries, it has an inbuilt charger. If I then go ahead and add a solar panel to the mix, won't that overcharge the batteries? |
Yungwizzzy: what is googleOh boy, na winch oh! In juju too much. If you ask am anything in go just dey throway the answer, I never see that kin tin before. |
Depends on how important the information I am looking for is, some sites that contain relevant info based on my keywords, may just not have done proper SEO work to rank higher in SERP. I do this more when I am in research mode. In casual mode, when looking for information casually, like Lagos weather for instance, I usually don't go past the first 3 sites on page 1. |
ItsModella: Miss AbiaDid you see Cross River? |
winexviv: Nice and over photoshoped, but this miss cross river fine ooooo. As in... She put on a bit too much lipstick though, so I'm sure she'd look way different without makeup, but even then. Odikwa very Dangerous! |
Iceslizer: OMG!!! Unbelieveable!!!Lol, nairaland really needs to start giving out prizes for first to comment, maybe a t-shirt, or free MB. |
These boko boys don't understand, why search for virgins in the after life? When you can pick yourself up, get an education, and end up with a virgin as a wife. I mean look at these ambassadors for peace, I am already inspired to be very peaceful. Abeg, peace be upon them and the entire Nigeria. BTW, Miss Cross River looks Dangerous! I'd like to meet her, if anyone can hook that up, lemme know. |
yuzedo: Lol! Bro, are you mad or just irreversibly obtuse? What is the issue here? Did you see an ID card?! So anyone who wears army camoflague is a bonafide soldier?? I better go get myself a space suit so I can become an astronaut! So what does the bible say about your foul Language, or you haven't read that part yet? You said, "OP got suckered lick a lil b****", please what part of Christianity allows you to condemn a victim like that? You say kids are reading, and this is the best example you can set for them? The OP is not even a criminal, but a victim of a scam or corrupt soldier, and you say kids are reading. |
oche_ejemb: You are an asshōle for this, This is the problem with our country. A Soldier meant to protect us has used his uniform to rob a citzien and you are here saying rubbish.Just imagine bullshit comments from people, so what if he wasn't courageous, can't the courageous ones on here prove that by fighting this fight with him, since he at least gathered some intel? They tell you that the matter is finished, yeah, just what courageous people would say right? Can't people focus more on the act of the soldier who is in clear violation of human rights? If you are to criticize, why can't you criticize constructively? It's people like these that would tell a girl that has been raped, that she is stupid for not closing her legs. @OP, I won't castigate you, because it is easy to fall prey to these sociopath law enforcers, but I'm sure now you are wiser, and next time you will alert as many people around as possible, and refuse to follow, if you truly believe your offence is not worthy of such. |
delors: This road shouldnt be an expressway! if there are bus stops, then it not a highway...it is a commercial way; that is why there are bus stops.I like the idea of speed limits, but when you think of the enforcers, and lack of technology like speed guns, you start to get discouraged a bit. If a leader is born out of nairaland some day, I hope they will remember all these posts and implement the big and the little things that would make our society better. The devil as they say, is in the details. |
kokoye: Traffic lights to replace roundabouts on a so-called expressway?? same dumb idea..sorryWell I am happy you said "so-called", while referring to the Lekki-Express way. It means we both agree that the road doesn't represent what we have come to imagine when we envision a highway, although by definition, it is still considered a highway. With that said, the whole point of the roundabouts already present on that road is to rugulate the traffic at the intersections were they are present. I am sure you can agree, as the "so called" highway has smaller feeder roads, feeding directly into the roundabout. Now at those roundabouts, you would notice that traffic is already slower, much slower than before approaching the roundabout. Pretty much, the lights would act as a more organized form of the roundabouts, with design logic giving preference to the cars on the "so called" highway in terms of how long the light stays green. So in essence you already have a bad situation, with buses stopping along the "so-called" highway and pedestrians trying to cross. I merely offered a solution I think would fit the present situation, its either that, or more pedestrian bridges are built, or we get rid of the bus stops all together along the "so called" highway, making it a true highway by most standards. |
617aircav: One big issue is Nigerian drivers have zero respect for pedestrians. In other countries, drivers are very wary of pedestrians and do their best to avoid them because they know the consequences if they hit them. In Nigeria, there are no consequences. How will the police find a hit and run driver? Human life in Nigeria carries no value, seeing a dead body on the roadside does not shock people as they are used to it. What do you expect in a barbaric society that burns people alive. Op you concerns are valid, but I'm afraid nothing cam be done unless the whole attitude of Nigerians change. While I agree with you to some extent that people do not respect pedestrians, the issue with regards to Lekki Freeway to me lies more with safely evacuating the pedestrians. Have you ever wondered why people walk right on the road in Nigeria, even when there are side walks? I was driving one day on the free way, and some guy was just walking by the side of the road, I mean a few more inches and the guy would be on top of the curb, walking safely. So some of these guys are in fact daredevils. You have to understand that, typically on a highway, cars move at higher speeds compared to other roads. Ideally, no pedestrian should be anywhere near a car that is doing 100Km/h, seriously! Since the case of Nigeria is different, and we have pedestrians crossing "so called" highways, then a responsible government should think of practical ways of evacuating pedestrians. How would any government approve a bus stop along side speeding cars, with no effective means of crossing. Pedestrians bridges at the moment are too far spread apart. |
In any sane society, pedestrians shouldn't be crossing a highway. Some Nigerians are simply insane, every car on the highway has right of way, that should first be established. As a pedestrian, why can't you simply wait till there is an opportunity to cross safely. The solution to this problem, I think, has many parts. First off, passengers at bus stops need to be evacuated safely either by pedestrian bridges or the use of traffic lights with pedestrian crossing. I personally hate roundabouts, especially those put on the Lekki-Express Freeway, I feel roundabouts are just poor solutions at intersections. Left to me, all the roundabouts should be done away with, and in their places, there should be traffic lights installed. Now once you have these traffic lights at strategic points, when the bus stops, the passengers can safely cross on the next red (which will actually be green for pedestrian crossing). Roundabouts don't provide this feature, and are very archaic. If the roundabouts are kept the way they are, more pedestrian bridges that compare to some extent with the amount of bus stops along that road, need to be built. |
InvertedHammer:The issue has been resolved, no one is claiming they did or didn't build the UAV. We just wanna discuss the building and flying now, so if you build chime in, if you assemble(also build) chime in, and if you just fly, chime in as well. |
fr3do: Make senxQuad copters use high amperage batteries as their source of fuel. |

oluebubesyd: Did you really build that thing? Looks too smooth and curvyI have a friend that built his own Quad Copter, he also designed the control system algorithm to stabilize and fly it. Men I tell you we have great people of Nigerian descent. He also said he wanted to use it to spy on girls, lol, but the guy is a hardcore electronics engineer. |
iterator25: e mould am with clay.. odeHahahaha! |
This looks more like a fish than a jet, look closely at the front of the car. Anyways kudos to the guy, I'm all for technology, need more technology gurus in Nigeria.
|
They have no case, period! People close to him should push to get him released, less the matter be blown up and more police lose their jobs. |
Hey, just wanted to share this funny vid with my nairaland community, enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVuWvPg_bKo |
