Honda EOD. cool car, good shocks, beautiful interior and exterior. classy, fuel economical, reliable parts and engine,
definitely not rugged for Nigerian roads. only problem is the leg that can pull if you have no maintenance culture, by maintenance culture I mean, buying OEM/ogi parts to be changed every 2years.. the Chinese parts also work and cost about 5k I think but needs to be changed every 6months. A good buy, the 2005 Honda Accord. enjoy.

Don't, buy only manual for your wife's sake. if she really wants auto you should look elsewhere, Toyota Camry or Corolla OR Honda Civic or Accord.

Peugeot 307 shares same engine as 406 so almost same thing but 307 has better fuel economy because of its size and shape (hatchback). There's Also a 1.6 l petrol engine. parts are more expensive than Honda civic but cheaper than Toyota corolla of its year just to give you an idea. French cars have good mechanical parts including strong and reliable engines but the electrical components can flair up sometimes same as Peugeot 406.

Get it in Manual Transmission only, I can't vouche for the automatic Transmission. Get a good mechanic for Peugeot and your good to go. Its a Fun car to drive. I have often heard the most reliable of Peugeot cars is the the 206 because less electrical parts, less sophistication and a fuel economy better than the Toyota corolla.

Have a Good Maintenance culture, a good mechanic and it will treat you well. The electrical wahala comes once in a while.

honestly, its very hard to understand what you're saying but ask your mechanic to scan the car first, if scan is not possible, then check the car starting plug or whatever they call it , happened to a friends car and that was the issue, the start........ had to be changed not sure what the name is sorry.

I heard Unijos is good, flexible and the teachers there are very good. I know someone that did their part-time there was 5years on the dot. she graduated with a 2.1 and liked the experience so much.

Hello guys, I just bought Honda accord 2007 4 cylinder discussion continues with a factory manual transmission. Everything works including AC but I want to know how much the parts cost. Eg. Engine, tie-rod, bolt-joint, AC compressor and how often do I need to change some of them. More so, what's the realistic fuel consumption? Pls Ur reply will be helpful. the EOD in manual transmission is reliability perfection.
engine 4cy is 180k in abj you can get it at 170k with good negotiations. ac compressor last time I checked was 55k. Chinese tie rods and bolt joint not so sure but 6k is what I last remember while the OEM by Honda is 15k. if you buy the Chinese you change every 6months but the OEM is once a year or 1nce in 2years depending on how bad your road is

fuel consumption is very good at 9l per 100km within city driving , 7l on highway so average is 8l for every 100km. very reasonable and economical.

my question to you is why switch from Peugeot 406 to EOD. they have similar fuel economy and class, was the 406 problematic?

In Nigeria however, a number of factors come to play when you consider either of the options. Usually, maintenance is pivotal to a happy car ownership. Irrespective of your choice of car, if it's properly maintained, the resale value will be high. I have never made a loss after using cars.

Now, the Toyota Camry is more rugged than its Honda Accord counterpart. The reason is not far fetched; camry is generally used for transport both within the city & interstate, which the Honda can't withstand. For example, you can hardly find Honda being used for uber.
Autostar which uses a lot of sedan for their Enugu route has camry, corolla & Avensis.

The good side of this is that the Toyota still commands a good resale value after this usage.

uhmm actually its because the accord styles of car are too classy to be used as a taxi. if you were on the road and you saw a Camry big for nothing pick you up as a taxi you will think nothing about it but if I come with an EOD, you will be confused and almost not get in the car. the accords have a classy design that is yet to be associated with commercial transport. the accord says classy and luxury, the Camry says formal and business.

Such a nice gesture, I feel like you're parents will say they don't want it because they feel it will inconvenience you, but I think you should.
But my strong advice would be to get only manual transmission cars!!! For that price.
Automatic trnasmission cars at that price or so will give issues that will frustrate you and be slightly expeNsive from time to time.
Find a driving school that would teach both of them manual transmission. It will save you fuel, maintainance and repairs.
