PoliticsPirates Molest, Rob Market Women In Delta by Youngzedd(op): 5:23pm On Jun 16, 2013
WARRI- SUSPECTED sea
pirates struck again in
Burutu Local
Government Area of
Delta Delta state,
robbing market women
of money and foodstuff,
over the weekend.

Sunday Vanguard
gathered that following
the incessant attacks in
recent months, the
Delta Waterways
Security Committee,
DWSC, Warri, was
already liaising with the
Burutu Local
Government Council
and security agencies to
checkmate the menace
of the hoodlums.

A source disclosed,
yesterday, “The sea
pirates attacked a boat
from Okwagbe, which
was carrying market
women and
dispossessed them of
foodstuff and money
running into millions of
naira.”

“The pirates trailed the
boat after closure of
market to a link creek,
they shot sporadically
into the air and took
every money that was in
the possession of the
traders.

“However, no one was
shot but the traders
were molested. The
Burutu vigilance group
went on a rescue
mission, but the pirates
had finished operation
and left before their
arrival, none of them
was arrested,” he
added.

He asserted, “As I speak
to you now, the
vigilance group is on red
alert to track down the
pirates, but the gunmen
are nowhere to be
found.”

eluquenson: Beside all dis charges, their service is very good, av neva experienced any challenges since I started using the card.
They knocked me out from login to online portal, they said I should contact the bank which I did. I requested for pin reset since last month up till now no signal from them.

They also did it to a friend of mine.

Their staffs knows nothing about AfriCard. Just a question they can't give a reasonable reply.

I found all the info on their Facebook page.

eluquenson: Sincerely speaking, nothing is free under dis world, no bank has a free charges on third party transaction, meanwhile , UBA Africard is charged at 2.75% on every transaction
Yup and nothing should be FREE. I later found the charges, upon they charge 2.75%, they will still charge 163 per dollar when others are charging 159. Not only that, when depositing into the account they will also charge 100 Naira.

Now a dollar is 162 that means they will charge 169 or 170.

Just managing them for now.

The charges are much.

HealthRe: Smoking Will Be Banned Soon In Nigeria - FG by Youngzedd(m): 10:30am On Jun 14, 2013
3ace: He's argument is weak because first and foremost, he justified that smoking should continue because so many people will loose their jobs in the banking industry. This is always our argument whenever some thing unpleasant is to be corrected. For Christ's sake, we have to make some sacrifices before we can achieve a better Nigeria which we all dream of. For instance, look at the Okada ban in Lagos and the restoration of confidence in the banking industry some few years ago. When these policies were to be implemented, people like him(pistol) raised the same fear of joblessness but today, is it not a welcomed development. This country is filled with abnormalities and we just need to sacrifice in order to put things right again.

Secondly, telling us that your uncle is a nonagenarian after smoking for years doesn't absolve smoking of any health hazards. I won't say more on this as google is handy for research. I don't smoke and should naturally not be bothered about this but I'm concerned of the passive-smoking aspect. Like some of the smokers have said, they should confine the act to smokers' homes. That means outright ban from the public and they should be serious about it this time.
Well said.

PoliticsAnambra To Use Bill Gates Money To Build 10 Hospitals by Youngzedd(op): 3:19pm On Jun 13, 2013
AWKA- Anambra State government said yesterday that it would use the money it won from being the best state in the coverage of immunization programme in the South-East to build 10 maternities in the rural parts of the state.

Governor Peter Obi, who made the disclosure during the flag-off of the National Obstetric Fistula Repair Programme at the Anambra State University Teaching Hospital, Awka, said the state had matched the $US1 million monetary award with N120 million for the project.

The governor also flagged-off the fumigation exercise against mosquitoes in the state, explaining that the exercise was part of the state government’s programme towards elimination of malaria. He called on the people of the state to corporate with those carrying out the fumigation exercise since it was for their own good. Obi also flagged-off the construction of a hostel block at the teaching hospital to house medical students.

ilugunboy: The insane activities of sea pirates on Nigeria high seas is a huge discouragement to Nigeria fish trawling companies...and most have sold off the fish trawlers to mostly people engaged in bunkering.

To stay in business that is allied...they all went into large scale fish importation.

If there is no market...there won't be supply. If local producers can meet up demand, there won't be fish importation...someone have to fill the gap.
