Nairaland General › Re: The Kobojunkie Menace by Ystranger: 12:29pm On Apr 19, 2011 |
Jarus: Kobojunkie, to me, is one of the most versed Nairalanders and has deeper grasp of issues than 90% of posters in Nairaland Politics section. And this is my sincere belief, no flattering or joking. I am not shocked. In the country of the blind, the one eyed man is king. afam4eva: Versed indeed. According to popular wisdom, HIV no dey show for face but Kobojunkie wants us to beleive that it really shows. Ver soon she will tell us that what we know as white is actually black. WTF are you talking about? According to Mr. Jarus, that is a sign of high intellect. For that post alone, as far as Mr. Jarus is concerned, Kobo scored mad IQ points. Jakumo: Our junkie likes to go against the flow and play devil's advocate in ALL discussions, more often than not just to get a debate going, which can be a good thing sometimes, but didactic and ponderous in other instances.
Kobojunie's flat refusal to utter a single positive word when Barak Obama, America's first ever black president, took office, struck me as rather odd, as does her scorn for those celebrating the April 2011 outcome of Nigeria's freest and fairest election in recorded history, though both of those stands are consistent in that they betray a character who is naturally reluctant to find joy in ANYTHING besides argumentation for its own sake.
Still and all, I would not throw Kobojunkie in a dungeon if I were a tyrant and she a critic. I would, rather, offer her a cabinet position, and then try to snatch her from her unsuspecting husband, just for the privilege of listing her among my notable conquests. As always, enough 'resket' |

Lagosboy: You obviously cannot remember June 24 1993 , the elections were annuled on the 23 june 1993. Abacha does not even come to this equation at all as he did not assumen power until November 17 1993. You can go verify the dates if ytou were too young then to understand what was going on
I am a full blooded yoruba guy but i remember yorubas burning down anything hause then. OPC does not even come to the equation as well because OPC was formed after those events around 94/95. Dont mind that imbe.cile |

I know you are no Tinubu cheerleader but some of these stories are ridiculous. Even the alliance negotiations, was on this same Nairaland where people will take bits from one version of the story join with bits from another version and come out with "It only failed because of Tinubu's greed" Mysterious my dear Very mysterious! What does Omisore, Oyinlola, Bankole, Bob Dee, and Iyabo OBJ have in common? They all accepted their loss and moved on.
The same thing cant be said of our neighbors East of the Niger, Why are they dragging us back? From Ngige to Dora Akunyili to Peter Obi it has been nothing but chaos since the results were released.
Why this primordial behavior from our brothers?
Why cant they borrow a leaf from their more civilized big brother, the Great Yoruba people of SWestern Nigeria?
Why do supposedly civilized people behave so savagely? |

ekt_bear: Nah, I think you'd have to offer everyone currently in Lagos. Or at least, force them to choose citizenship between the SW Republic and whatever other country they have a claim on. You cannot dispossess people of citizenship anyhow. . . I'm pretty sure it is illegal, will get you in trouble with the UN, etc.
But once they make that choice, you are free to then restrict citizenship to outsiders. In America? Yes In 'Odualand' hellz NO. If they dont leave voluntarily and peacefully and jejely, we will ask OPC to make them leave, as a matter of fact, they will disappear forever and ever. |

Igbos and Niger Deltans have a direct claim to that city. Next time you want to make a statement like that, come down to Lagos and say it to my face ok? Stop being an internet warrior. For once, be a big - boy. Come down to Lagos and lets settle this man-to-boy. |
