Please help to look at this scenario n advise on step to take, met this young couple when I went for medicals with my family in Ikoyi they also came for their medicals for dv2013 and I took interest in them. They had their interview today but the news made me sad cos they were refused. I asked the reason n he told me for inadequate skill even thought he wife that won the lottery according to him has more than 5credits in her SSCE. He said the embassy wrote on the paper given them for refusal inadequate skill, am confused as he claimed they applied on his wife's SSCE. Is it possible to reject on inadequate skill if the school cert meets the minimum requirement. Is there any room to contest or protest this decision. Please help with ur advise. God bless u all.

candytos: My testimony continue: with God n advise from members n reading past postings on this thread we prepared n were able to also cut cost for our dv interview.
This morning wife n I prayed n made positive confessions from a wonderful book by Rev Adetutu Coker " I am destined to win, we prepared and packed our docs for the interview. We also took the holy communion as a family n left home at 5.30am n got to embassy with our kids at 6.30am. Therewas alreadya long queue, we joined n went thro all security. We paid and presented our docs to a Nige Nigerian lady we were told to sit n wait for our number to be called. The hall was jammed with ppl both immigrants n non immigrants, with some standing, not enof seats. I started praying in tongues n thanking God for our visas but my kids were tired of the whole thing n wanted to go home. At 9.15am over 1.5hrs of waiting we were called to window 17 with a young ruddy white American. We exchanged pleasantries n he showed us our forms n told us to sign, which we did.
CO: swear to say the truth
Me n wife: swore
CO: highest qualification
Me: told him
Co: line of work in relation to degree
Me: told him
Co: asked for family pix
Me: showed him
Co: saw honeymoon pix asked location

Proceed with your Student Visa. If you are later selected while you are in the states, you will do status adjustment. Many people in US with student visa always play the DV lottery.

Yes, You can get a PAY AS YOU GO sim like Simple Mobile and others. Yes, You can start a CNA course without your green card because some nursing home don't need your greencard nor SSN. Since you have your passport, pass drugs test and can afford the fee.

As i tried to print the receipt what came out was your application/petition has been accepted and is pending review. CASE SUMMARY RECEIPT ID: REQUEST TYPE etc. At the bottom of the page was written payment submitted. My question is that does that page represents the receipt of my payment? I also discovered the account hasn't been debited as at yesterday, pls, how long does it take to process the fee because I want to be sure before i pay for four others of my family? Or do I need to pay for all at once? Hw's Pator and Jasper? Are still in town?

You don't need to print the receipt because nobody will ask you for it but if it doesn't cost you anything printing it. Its OKAY. The fee will not be deduct immediately. It will take 2-3days before they deduct it and yes, its going to state case pending. Its doesn't mean since the payment is successful.

Right now, she needsyour counsel on whether to contact them on the development right away & how could she intiates that.

Is she married? She should send the baby's form and the baby photograph to the KCC so the baby name will be include in the beneficiary list on her 2NL.

LOL. They don't check pictures before selection. Its computer generated. Just tell the photographer that its for DV lottery with a white background. That makes it perfect in case you re selected.

Because of DV lottery, you will now be lying. But before the interview, you swore to say the truth before the CO, as the interview progress, you will now lie, consequently, visa would not be approved. You will now start blaming this and that.
I have seen someone whose visa (student visa for that matter) was approved even with different DOB in her documents. She was able to defend it cogently. Her DOB was not properly documented as at birth. So her uncle did a guess work. But now, the true DOB has been ascertain, hence this affidavit to support my claim. And that's actually the truth.
I think from all, jidex001's advice is better of. It makes much sense, which you have also acknowledge.

the issue here is that her fiancee wants to do traditional marriage and court marriage go they can go as a couple, but am looking at the possibilities of it working out at the interview because the dates of marriage will be after she should have submitted the forms back to KCC cos they are about fill the form. so house your advice is reallyu needed here. should she fill the form as single and they proceed with their marriage plans or should she just do everything as single applicant and let her fiancee will follow her on a later date.

She can do another passport, Do court wedding and other necessary ceremony and send the form to KCC after three months of the marriage. She will claim she saw she won the lottery after the marriage.

Maybe you didn't heard the immigration officer well. You will receive your GC in six weeks.

kaygee1977: That form is for non-immigrant visa. You musy be precise on how long your holiday duration is. Ypu must at no time exhibit that you want to stay indefinitely in ur host country. I will advise a 1 month summer vacation is ok. I am sure you should be able to afford yourself a holiday hence you applying for a visitor's visa. You need proof of income...I mean your bank statement and so on. I will advise that you go to the official site of the American Consulate foe their requirements for visitors' visa also known as non-immigrant visa.

ojisalara: No trouble with Immigration at all, they know about the VISA lottery just that most of them are corrupt, I had issues with NDLEA guys that eventually took me to their body scanning room so that I should drop money, The woman at the scanning room said I'm negative and was very friendly after the scan but this man that took me their kept holding my passport and kept asking the woman if he should write Positive, See the Kind of country we are in, God Help us and give us good leaders that will have zero tolerance for corruption because at that point I was thinking it's possible this NDLEA guys have been indicting innocent people, He kept wasting my time and asking me to drop something before he clears me, I has had to give them 1k

Bro, this have nothing to do with our leaders. If you don't give them any money they will give you back your passport. They re only rejoicing with you. You re traveling to God's own country you no won drop something. If na Kenya or Iraq you dey go nw they won't look ur passport twice, talk less they won ask you for a kobo.
