Yes, If its lagos. Its going to be CGL201311188401. You won't include the AF.

Why will they leave the new baby? Mehn, that's crazy. Additional 68k for passport and visa fee will get the baby to America. The baby don't need flight ticket.

My migration is getting closer.I've been huzling 2 raise fund since Feb dat my Visa wz approved. Flight booking on my mind. Chekd Wakanow.com, got Emirates 2 JFK @ 132K. But Insurance is 7k, making it almost 140k. Thnking of leaving out d insurance, is there any danger in dat? Pls I need 2 knw so dat I can book 2day. God bless you all.

nangamboko: please house i think im having some problems.i went to the interview and they told me to come with a police report from india because ive been in india for two years.and now ive gone to the indian embassy to get a police report from there and they told me that they dont issue police reports for none indians.that its impossible.so now im really confused.please you advice will really help me out

You can change it at the POE when you arrive to America. Just write the new address in a paper and give it to the Immigration officer that collected ur visa package and tell him/her that is your new address.

I can honestly say I had the shortest interview. So it goes this way, I got 2 the embassy at abt 6:20 am for my 7 am appointment. After all the necessary security check point we were ushered in2 d waiting area. I made my payment for $330 @ d rate of N165 then submitted my documents & sat down. At Abt 11:37Am my no was beeped. So this was hw it went;

Kunlexymoore: First of all, I want to thank God for His faithfulness towards my family. My wife (Shewen4God)won the visa we both played as singles a week to our wedding. When the result came out, we needed to be sure she could add the rest of the family (we had a one month old baby then) to it, so we sent a mail to KCC which they replied in the affirmative. Then the journey began. We sent the forms to KCC including our marriage certificate, our daughters birth certificate and the likes as requested by them. We then started going through a number of forums online (including Nairaland)to learn especially from people in similar situations as ours (played as singles but later got married). A particular nairalanders testimony (Imcool) is worthy of note and really encouraged us likewise many others.

Now to the testimony. Our interview was yesterday. We had a 10am appointment so we got there at about 8am. We were asked to wait under the tree till about 9:30am for immigrants call-up. We knew we had a challenge of how to feed our 1 year old baby since we were not allowed to go in with liquids. That was later sorted out as we had to drop the baby's bag with someone after the third attempts when we were called to line up by 9:30am. We went through the normal security checks and were given an initial tally number and my wife (the primary applicant was given a form to fill). We were later led through another security checks (airport style) into the main hall after handing another tag to us. We later went to pay at window 22 and then my wife's name was called at Windows 17 where we submitted our documents. My own credentials were not asked for at all (other than my medical report, police report and birth certificate) except my wife's since she was the primary applicant. Close to two hours later, our number beeped on Window 13 (the nicest of them all I believe and a bit elderly). Window 16 was shut "
'permanently'. The interview lasted just a little above 10mins. Though he asked a number of questions, they were straightforward questions. Our interview experience went like this:

CO: (Addressing the two of us) Raise your hands and swear that you are going to say nothing but the truth
Both of us: Yes we will!
Then we did the fingerprint stuff.
CO: (Talking to my wife) You give the baby (who was already sleeping - interceeding for us ) to your husband.
I was asked to sit somewhere. The good thing was my wife was audible enough as requested by the CO so I had an idea of the questions asked.
CO: Why do you want to go to America?
Wife (Shewen4God): I like to go to America to learn new things, contribute my quota and also help people; which I love doing.
CO: What are you doing presently?
Wife: Since I stopped work due to the marriage policy of our company, I focused on and concluded my MBA programme last year and since then I've been looking for job while learning some new trades like hairmaking and beads making
CO: What's your highest qualification?
Wife: I wrote PGD on the form sent to KCC but I now have my MBA
CO: Where did you meet your husband?
Wife: We met in my former office in 2009. We were colleagues.
CO: Did you play the lottery together?
Wife: No, we played separately as singles since we were not married then
CO: Where did you spend your honeymoon?
Wife: Ghana
Co: Oh I've not been to Ghana before
Wife: It's a nice place
CO: How long did you spend there?
Wife: 4days
CO: What other places has your husband been to?

I took my turn and he confirmed the questions he asked my wife and few other ones from me

Me: Yes I did. I did not win but my wife won
CO: Did you play it together?
Me: No we played separately
CO: Do you have some pictures of your wedding?
Me: Yes I do and brought out our wedding album and started opening the album
CO: Who is this? Where was it conducted? Is it a church? Where are your parents and hers?
Me: I answered him (Methodist Church) and showed him our parents picture
CO: Who made this album (Photobook)?
Me: My friend, he's a photographer
CO: Its nice
Me: Thank you sir
CO: What do you do where you work (bank)?
Me: Public Sector Department and described what we do

The CO then brought out two white sheet of paper and asked that I call my wife, which I did. He circled an address and asked that we pick up our visas next friday. We were so happy and my wife even shouted "God bless America" out of excitement and people sitting down had a good laugh. We bless God for His faithfulness from the beginning of this journey till now. Truly, like we say here....God is involved! We also like to thank good people in this forum who shared their testimonies, gave us wonderful advices and insights as regarding the various stages of processing. It made our job easy. temmytanny: To all muslim and those that dont eat pork,when you land US,avoid sausages,bacon and co. If you are buying Burger please ask if it contains pork. I dont pork but mistakenly ate it here cos i neva asked before eating it. Am a christian but what about those who are muslim whose religion forbids it? How would they feel if they eat it?

I will like to add that my wife WAEC certificate got burnt in a fire incidence and we submit only online print out and it was accepted without raising any questions.

I don't know about your first question because i send my own form via EMS but the second one. As long as you have a US address. Fill it there. You can change it later at the Port of Entry when you already have a place to stay and your GC will be sent you.

Its indeed God's wish coz on sunday,ma hubby's friend connected us wit sumbdy to help us to lagos.on getting to lagos we told him we ll drop @ obalende to secure accommodation.The man immediately offered us a room in his 2 bedroom flat @ gbagada phase II and promised 2 drop us @ d embassy as early as possible wic he did.
Though we had 10am appointment buh we got 2 d embassy as early as 5:50am.pls ensure u get to d embassy @ least 2hrs ahead and adhere to all instructions.we were first called @ 8am as against d 10am on our appt buh we were delayed by dos who refused to open der medical envelopes b4 den.so,we were turned back and was told to wait till our time while some entered.
We are very grateful to all in d forum 4 contributions n past interview xperiences we gattered here helped a lot.Catch ya all in US.

Don't put your international passport oo. You will include two 2" X 2" white background passport photograph.

engyadewale: [b] God of Shiloh and Pastor E.A. Adeboye did favour me yesterday, May 6 when I had my interview at US embassy. Good people of this fabulous forum should join me in praising and thanking this Most High God.........Almighty God is indeed great oh. My interview experience is as follows:
I arrived at the embassy around few minutes past 6 a.m. Though I was scheduled for 10a.m. appointment. I didn't want to take any chance because Lagos traffic could be very unpredictable.
I met some people who were scheduled for 6.30/7a.m. non-immigrant interviews so the security personnel attended to the non-immigrants first till it was around some minutes to 10a.m. Then, we, the DV lottery immigrants and other immigrants were called to form a queue for security checks.
Pls note, certain items such as phones, camera, liquid like perfume, flash drives and any sharp object are not allowed to be carried into the interview room. I didn't want to go with my phone initially but my friend questioned why I would go out without any phone, should there be reasons to make calls. So I took my phones along. But when instructed to leave all those items behind, I looked for one of the MOPOLs around and asked him to keep my phones for me. He agreed but joked that I was going to give him 100 dollars.
I went through the security checks, all sealed envelopes were asked to be opened even the sealed medical report. Our names were checked against a list using the 2nd notification letter by a woman and a payment slip was issued for the visa application fee of 330 dollars or 54,500 naira equivalent and we were marched to the interview hall. A paper ticket was issued at the entrance of the hall containing number and on entering the hall, security details directed us to the cashier point for payment. I paid in dollars and two computer receipts were issued, one for the deparment of state and the customer copy. Thereafter, my tag number was called to submit the originals and photocopies of my certificate together with my int'l passport, passport photographs (2x2) and a little paper form where we were instructed to fill our name, pertitioner name and our residential address in nigeria including mobile number. Everything was submitted and we were advised to wait till our tag numbers appeared on a digital display screen, to be interviewed by the Consular Officers.
I initially felt fearful but remembering all I have read on this forum, i reassured myself that all would be well. After waiting for close to two hours, my tag number finally appeared on window 14 and with smiles I approached this fine white guy...........lolz

CO: fine, thank you
Me: you are welcome
CO: may I take your finger prints pls
Me: I quickly placed my left fingers without the thumb on the scanner since I have watched others before my turn then followed by right fingers without the thumb and then the two thunbs at the same time.

CO: he took two sheets of paper, circling an address where I would pick up my visa after a week and the second paper, directing how I would pay the green card fee before travelling and those sheets were handled to me.
Sincerely yours, I left the hall with bundles of joy and the very first security I met on my way out, I dash the guy 1k, another security guy too, 1k and then the MOPOL guy too 1k. I'm so grateful to Almighty God for making this possible.

Perhaps I should share this too. I came across this forum when I got my 1st notification and was really confused on the steps to take. I contacted a female friend who her brother also won the lottery some years ago to connect me with her brother in US so he could put me through all the processing.
To my surprise, the lady told me that her brother insisted that I should arrange marriage with her before he could render any assistance. The lady said she was not happy about her brother's requirement and that she had her fiance. She advised me to look elsewhere for assistance, that she would not even want to go into such arrangee marriage because of travelling out. I was totally lost on what to do. I decided to google certain agents' addresses that I heard on radio and I prayed to God to help me. While playing with words on google search engine so as to get the information, I came about this link and I was so happy that I didn't even bother looking for any agent again. Since then, I have been taking my time to read posts and comments and once in awhile contributed too.
This forum has been so helpful and I want to bless God for it. It's my earnest prayer that those who are yet to be interviewed would be favoured by God and their visas be granted IJN. AMEN
