Please, is naira mastercard not working directly or why using paga?

Joshua62:

So for those that are trying to pay IHS fee of over $1000, i have successfully done mine....I paid $1836

See steps to follow below:

- First you must own a Paga account which is quite easy to open
- Once you have a Paga account, you will be on Level 1, so you have to upgrade to Level 3 in order to be able to make transactions of huge sum of
amount, upgrading to Level 3 requires you to submit some documents which they will verify...Once verification is complete, you will be upgraded to
level 3
- Next is to fund your paga wallet with the required amount you intend to pay. You can either fund your paga wallet with your debit card or fund your
account via an online transfer from your GT mobile application which is quite straight forward.
- Once that is done, go back to your IHS payment platform page, select "PAGA"...not "PAGA VERVE", then select "Pay from my Paga Wallet" then click
confirm, automatically your paga account will be deducted and your IHS payment will be confirmed.

This was how i did mine......Should incase you have any questions, i am willing to answer.

Thanks to all those that contributed and God bless you all!

You can print for the one month before your application submission.
Walk-in is for those who want to walk in to the VAC for their biometrics earlier than their appointment dates and time while the assisted service is when the VAC staff scans and uploads your documents for you.

Thank you very much. I really appreciate.

Please, last questions. I deferred my admission to January due to COVID 19 and my 28 days financial requirements completed July 18. Please, when I'm ready to print my statement, should I print from July to date or I will print only one month.

Also, I have been seeing some terms here which I don't really understand. What's (1) Walk in (2)assisted services.

Thank you once again.

mimilyrics:
Those are normal questions to ascertain that the money is truly available to you and not a facade. Being self funded basically means that you got the money from your family or from your savings/earning. No need to sweat it.

If you say you got the money from your salary savings, employment questions will follow and if you say your family gave you the money, questions on the financial ability of the family member will follow.

For clarity, official financial sponsors are international organisations / companies, UK govt, your home govt, your T4 sponsor who will usually show this sponsorship via an official letter or your CAS as the case may be.

Your parents can also officially sponsor you and you'll need to submit their statements, consent and your birth or adoption certificate as proof of this. Questions are often asked to ascertain their financial capabilities.

You can be self sponsored if you are showing the required funds in your account but these funds do not necessarily have to be from your earnings. Family members apart from your parents or legal guardians can transfer funds to you towards your studies since they don't qualify as official financial sponsors and in this case, they can be referred to as "unofficial" sponsors (meaning that you can't submit their bank statements to support your application but they can give you money towards your course) and questions are sometimes asked about their financial abilities.

@mimilyrics. This is the post. I'm still waiting for his own reply too

Celomomo:
About 7 minutes

Asked me;

If I feel fit and well before we start

Can you tell me your name, DOB and nationality

Which school am I going?

Did I consider other schools?

What are the modules of my course?

Have I completed other courses(degree)

What I have been doing since graduation

What are my future plans

Who's sponsoring me?

How much does he earn

How many dependents does he have?

If I understood the questions?

Asked if I'm still feeling fit and well after the interview.

Then we thanked each other

Thank you. The reason why I asked is because the person were asked few of these questions:
1) Who's sponsoring me?
2) How much does he earn
3) How many dependents does he have?

If I tell them I'm self funded since all the funds is in my account, won't they ask for the work I'm doing?

mimilyrics:
You're self funded if the money is in your personal account and you're using your personal bank statement as evidence of finance even if your bro or any other family sends your maintenance funds to your account.

The question usually asked about source of funds during the interview is basically to ascertain if the funds are truly available to the applicant and it doesn't negate the fact that the applicant is self-funded.

Please, I read a post on this thread where someone said he was asked during the interview Who's sponsoring me?. For those whose brother sent the funds into their account, what should be their reply to this question since a brother is not a legal sponsor. Should the answer be self funded despite the brother sent the funds to him into his account?

How to get better?

1) Patience - you’re not going to learn overnight, you need to put the time in it.

2)Passion - make it enjoyable, you will be far more motivated/consistent in your learning

3)Practice - there’s no way you will learn without it. Don't just read. Try and do it on your system even if it's simple.

4) Write code everyday(even if it's 1 hour a day). You can never learn it finish. even a developer who has spent over 10 years in industry is still facing challenges.

Programming is hard. This is why it pays so well. Because it’s hard. No one gets paid a lot of money to do something easy. Simple as that. If you want to stand out: Go toward the hard things that scare other people away and keep working at it until you get it done.

You had better have patient till July like how so many people in this forum have said.

By July, all schools and UK government will have given clear decision.

All schools are trying hard to lure students to pay deposit to hook them. Be in control and do not be dependent on them.

If you pay your deposit and do not come, your money has gone with no refund.

This is a mind game.

You're right. I have already mailed my school that I want to defer my admission to Jan 2021. I can't do online class in UK smiley. Sept intake should go fess and give us feedback.

Hello everyone I just want someone to advice me I'm planning on going 2 the uk for my masters though i studied an education course but i finished with a 2.1 I'm planning of applying for computer science for my masters
1. Is it possible?
2. Can I also be working as a student?
3. Computer science in the UK how profitable is it?
Thanks for your advice

If you don't have basic knowledge in computer science, you might have issues in msc level. Basic knowledge in data structure, algorithm, core programming. You might even be rejected because you don't even have core requirements in your undergraduate level.

Abeg, for UK schools, if someone gains admission, can I use a citizen to stand for me like that of Germany. I have quite a few people who are citizens and MIGHT be of help if I were to gain admission. Because I don't have any official parents right now cos I was raised by guardians whose names are different from mine and it wasn't an adoption process. I could just make use of my uncle as the person who is my official guardian and I know he has the money and also a citizen and we even share names. His surname is my mother's maiden name.

Good evening my Ogas, please what advice can you give to this person. I told him the only option for him is to tell his uncle to send all the money he will need to his personal account but he said the uncle is a citizen in UK and he's willing to take care of everything but he doesn't know if he would be willing to send all the money (school fees + living cost) to his personal account as it was already discussed here. Please, is that the only solution because I don't want to give someone's son false information. Thank you.

Be ready to defend the source of your income. I was asked same question during my interview, I just mentioned my Parents transferred it to my account after paying my tuition fees and next question was what do they do for living and how much they earn per year? I gave the naira and pounds equivalent. Next question was how many siblings do I have and how many are depending on them. I mentioned 4 siblings and that all are married and living with their respective spouses so they don't depend on my parents again. Next one was how much do I currently earn ? just an interlink of questions to be sure you know what you are doing.

Starred. Noted bro. Thank you.
