Look for schools that offer scholarship to foreigners or better still if u have some base pay the tuition and when ur here u can always adjust. For jobs, it depends on the kind of job ur looking for and also how much time ur program will allow u if u get admitted But if u are hard working u can survive here and make it ur starting point.

Just like I promised I used the west Houston birthing center and paid $3214, my tests from Nigeria was used. Scan was inclusive in d cost as Holly conducted 3 scans. I used a Jewish doctor for circumcision and paid $400 cos he came to my house but he normally charge $300, if u go to his place of practice. Had one pediatric visit plus one immunization which I paid $147. We had to go to d local government office to get an expedited bc as far one day was meant to be posted was delayed a bit cos of d mistake in d name from d birthing center. Hubby
was not comfortable sending baby's blue passport for visa so we got a letter from d Nigerian embassy in the form of an emergency certificate. We left for Nigeria exactly 4weeks after birth.

Actually the hospital being used in LA is cheaper than those in houston and accomodation is same in both places about 1200dollars depending on your choice though....

So LA is actually a very good deal.... and LAX POE is actually a breeze in not like houston poe,my quess is cos every body is going to houston which isnt a bad thing in itself, just that it would be better if other options are gotten besides houston.

@dittobaby. Sorry for d delay in responding. The Dr's bill for C-section is $1900 against $1700 for normal delivery. Circumcision fee is $200. While You pay for pediatrician bill after delivery.

Although, in case of complications they are just 1km from west houston memorial hospital. i have correspondence from the birth center and that is what i intend applying for my visa with. The total cos for delivery, labs, prenatal and postpartum care is 4000 dollars, and with discounts can reduce to about 3,300. I also bo0ok an hotel near the birth center. I hope i am good to go. I lived presently in hisgracelodge, the lodge is my hommy, a place of rest of mind, u get free ride on your first appointment and first grocery/other shoppings, they will also pick you up from the Airport & drop off. If you have a driver license there is a car for you to go around town. If you see my post, I earlier said that I lived in a family apartment, that is because I lived comfortably in a place I call hommy. That's my little girl enjoying herself in dat pics....

Just limit the tests you pay for in Nigeria cos you'll end up redoing most of them. I'm in Florida and my doctor accepted only my glucose test and HIV tests, he insisted on doing everything else and just helped me get a higher discount from the lab.

Pls which hospital are you using in Florida and what is there cost.

dahonestboss: Why study for IELTS using a TOEFL manual? of course they are both english language proficiency exam materials, but the scope and methods are different. You also need to be aware of synonyms between both languages.

I did IELTS too so I should be in a position to advice you on that.

first of all, The time limit is not enough, be conscious of that. Quickly move to other questions/section if you are cant answer the current question, if you start the exam, 30 mins would appear to you like 10mins.

secondly, should also familarize yourself with the British english accent, This was where i got my lowest mark, but I was able to compensate with other sections especially the speaking part.

If you can, do not sit in the front or back seat, try stay in the middle of the class. During my time, I was sitting at the first frontline seat and the speaker was so loud, I could grasp everything in the listening part, so be aware.

If you can understand english, I dont think it would be a problem to get at least 6.0. I didnt study prior to sitting for the exam, only the accent in the listening part and the time limit was a huge challenge then.

Yuugo, There are masters program in Bioprocess Engineering from some list of schools. There is a high demand for researchers in Bio Engineering in Germany especially in the area of renewable bioresources; more especially, there are lots of research programs in Bioplastic should you wanna do PhD. You should learn some basic programming skills (not necessarily indepth) it will help you in modelling and simulation. But get admission in Bipprocess Engineering, I'm sure you will be equipped with the required skills before you finish your program.

Pls wot are the basic programming skills or can i learn it wen i come over der
