NaijaPikinGidi: Stop being a fool at your old age! Answer my previous questions directly or just shut up your lying mouth! Why would people already qualified be sent to attend a course? Does an already well-trained person need to be sent afresh to learn what he already knows? If so, it reveals furthermore how dull brained, incompetent and mediocre your military personnel are!

Stop lying through your teeth!
I anserwed the qustion before you asked it even. They go on courses to see how other people do things.

"The 18 Agusta 109 pilots are reportedly not able to fly the minimum number of hours required to maintain their qualifications. "

For all intent and purposes, those helios have lost their wings.

"This means that there are reportedly insufficient flying hours to actually fly the Agusta 109 helicopters."

The helcopters are far from rust buckets.

Last year you grounded all your F7. This issue will be resloved next year.

It is all importaned to rember SAAF operastional budget is far higher than that of nigeria. I wonder what secruits NAF has does NAF even post the number of hours they fly?

NaijaPikinGidi: AndrewZA wants to be smarter than himself by saying training is different from a course. What is a course ... I have asked? If a course is not training then I wonder what else it is or may be!!?

I highlighted this part of a report of the US Department of State's training to SA Security Forces some weeks ago:

It states clearly that South Africa participated in the training. The same report also hints at how issues of non-challance and blockheadedness keeps plaguing the professional competency of SA's security forces:

Funny how it is the same weak and blockhead SA forces that Mike..ZA is making so much recycled noise about!! The US offered SA training ... trained those that were willing and cared to show-up! Those that were not interested failed to show-up, hence failed to be trained. Bottomline ... this is another clear example of the level of indiscipline and mediocrity in your gravely overrated SANDF. The true results continue to show up each time you attempt to project power: SANDF trouncing by SELEKA in CAR. SANDF playing second fiddle in DRC, etc.

SA not being trained by a NATO member Force? Tell that to your dubious selves.
The difrence is that we send people all ready qulfied on those courses. They there to learn how other people do things, now a country like nambia sends untrained people to brazil and SA to get trained.

agaugust:
so training experience with NATO could not give south african army enough courage to GO BACK to defeat Seleka rebels in C.A.R after those farmer boys humiliated you in battle ?

have you ever seen anywhere in this world where nigerian army was attacked by anybody and our soldiers abandoned the location or country ?

C-130 hercules and NNS Ambe moved in reinforcement of nigerian soldiers to go fight to regain full control of Freetown when Charles Taylor's rebels got new weapons from Libya's Ghadaffi became very strong and outnumbered nigerian army on battlefield when they re-entered the city to launch counter-offensive against us.

nigerian army always goes back to retaliate, defeat and disgrace the enemy....now that's the real military difference between pretoria and abuja !

ask liberian rebels, ask sierra leone rebels, ask janjahweed rebels of sudan, ask boko haram, ask Chad and Cameroon's national armies.....nigerian army is very different from south african army....we always fight, die and win !

part of our secret is that nigerian army has mixed combat tactics we learned from different armies all over the world, we are not arrogant like south africa who knows too little and still too proud to travel out and learn war tactics from better experienced world military nations.

nigerian army combat tactics is a powerful mixture of what we learnt by training with and studying under different countries of the world including America, Britain, Italy, Germany, China, Pakistan, India, Israel....the masters of war with the best modern day battle experience.....

.....this is the true secret of why nigerian army is unbeatable anywhere in Africa, humility to learn has made us the best.

pride goes before a fall, O south africa !

.
We offerd our help to fomac and france and will return if asked. The fact is though CAR is not worth the effort.

You guys have lost battels in nigeria. And abdondan a base in sudan if the sudanies army did not rock up all the nigerians there would have ended up dead.

The rebels from liberia and serrie leon were morons. They wore life jaclets for body armour, did not aim and got ran around with farey wings. I know 10 year olds with more brains than those fools.

chris365: Dude, problem is problem. SA does not have the problem of terrorism but has a crime andd murder rate higher than Nigeria coupled with incessant murder of whites by oppressed blacks which has given rise to a white resistant group (red October) and a soon to be violent black political group that still chant the "kill the boar" song (EFF). SA is on a ticking time bomb and like @naijapikin once expressed; SA's turn is near no matter how you try to hide or deny it.
Does nigeria even have trusted crime statistics? I mean half the country is under a infomastion black out. And death due to terrorist/milltary acstion are not counted in any case.

....can we also conclude that south african police, rangers and military forces are weak too ? answer my question
shocked

.
Hundreds of poachers have been arrested and the rhino populastion is still the largest in the world and still growing.

The problem comes in that since rhino horn is worth more than gold there aremany more poachers to fill in the gap. So given the circmstance they doing a good job. And you do know kruger nastional park is not even closed down.

Don't worry, you will envy as we march past the next 10 years with full military power. Gbabe
You had to pull solders out of your UN missions to fight your own insugiancy. You guys are not stabel.

rka1: Oh! dear UN, maybe it is time for some begging. The reality is now hitting home. Where are the extra troops going to come from? wink

UN peace force in Mali 'needs troops and equipment' United Nations (UN)

The United Nations has appealed for more troops and equipment for its peacekeeping force in Mali.

The UN force, which took over security duties in July, has less than half of its mandated strength of more than 12,000 military personnel.

Bert Koenders, the UN's special representative to Mali, said recent attacks had been a "wake-up call".

He said the force, known as Minusma, needed more resources in order to stabilise the north of the country.

French forces led an operation to oust Islamist militants from the region in January.

A presidential election was held in Mali in July but militant attacks have resumed in the north where separatist Tuareg rebels and Islamist fighters are based.

Protect civilians
Bert Koenders, the UN's special representative to Mali, Bert Koenders, the UN's special representative to Mali, says key security challenges remain
A suicide bomb attack hit the northern city of Timbuktu on 28 September and an Islamist group fired shells into Gao on 7 October.

"We are faced with numerous challenges," Bert Koenders told the UN Security Council.

"The mission lacks critical enablers - such as helicopters - to facilitate rapid deployment and access to remote areas to ensure the protection of civilians. Troop generation will have to accelerate."

The UN peacekeeping force was dealt a further blow in August by the withdrawal of a large Nigerian contingent who returned home to tackle their own Islamist insurgency.

This left Minusma with less than 6,000 troops. It is due to reach full strength with 12,640 uniformed personnel by December.

The UN force is replacing French troops, which intervened in January when Islamist militants threatened to march on the capital Bamako.

An al-Qaeda group and its allies extended their control of the north of Mali following a coup in March 2012 but they have since been forces out of the region's major cities such as Gao, Kidal and Timbuktu.

agaugust: most of the above is just a wish list and day dream of south african military.

south african government has no money to waste any more on defence.

south african CANNOT raise money to maintain the weapons it already has.

only 8 pilots for 26 Gripen jets.

12 Gripen jets are in long term 'deep freezer' cold storage.

only 11 Exocet missiles remain instead of 32 Exocet missiles for 4 valour frigates.

only 46 G6 artillery and 11 Rooivalk helicopters have been purchased since 20 years ago.

stop daydreaming bros, south africa is NOT buying any new major military equipment due to lack of money
grin cheesy tongue cry

.
Far from a wish list. SA wish list is 12 grpinen Es, a fourth sub, heavy lift helecopters extra. These are namened and funded projects

There are 18 qulfied gripen pilots and since it takes years to qulafie and we have only had gripens for short time the number will slolwy increase.

Excets are cheap and plentfill with main sources if more are needed

And why do we need more than 46 G6s? They impratical for our current mission of peace keeping due to size. We would need 18 rooivalk acoording to the deffence review but they not a pressing issue.

So the badger is not new?

Nigerian made Epe Rockets now in combat service....

there is 'insider' information that nigerian made Epe rockets have secretly entered combat service and is being used by nigerian air force jet fighters and helicopter gunships.

the rockets are of various sizes and ranges, which are also being improved and upgraded regularly as more research and development continues secretly at the Epe missile/rocketry/space/satellite site in a tightly secured and 'no public entry' Lagos waterfront area/island location.

the information from the 'insider' source says the air force has produced its own launchers for the air to ground rockets, while the army is working hard on its own launchers for the bigger and longer range ground to ground artillery rockets, surface to air anti-aircraft missiles versions, and also working with the navy to build land to sea versions in anti-ship missile modes, though source said the anti-aircraft and anti-ship versions will take a longer time to complete than the army ground to ground versions which will be ready likely next year 2014, while the air force version is already in full use and service having being configured by nigerian air force research institute for all combat aircraft to be armed with.

asked to provide some 'proof', the 'insider' source said ...."people have been seeing it but they dont know it is from that Epe site as the first version/model with a range maximum 10km or thereabout "...he then referred to the photo and link below...

agaugust: only a foolish country will think it is militarily good enough by itself alone....the way south africa thinks and United Nations does not trust your army so Tanzania is your boss in Congo DRC war UN mission.

stop misinforming people here dude !

pakistani air force defeated indian air force in air to air combat, neutral sources confirmed and i dont care about propaganda, the truth is known to war history experts.

"The Pakistanis lost some 25 aircraft (11 in air combat), while the Indians lost 60 (25 in air combat). This was an impressive result"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indo-Pakistani_War_of_1965

Nigerian F-7 jet pilots got first training from China's air force, then based on our long term defence pact with Pakistan they have to give nigerian pilots ALL the war experience Pakistan used to defeat Indian air force in 1965/1971 wars and they always have to do live combat air exercises with us as our military partners based on the joint defence pact.

if the above information hurts you, then jump into river zambezi and end all your sorrows....its sunday....a good day to die....heaven's gate might be open at this hour grin

nigrian air force jet fighter pilots are very deadly, don't try them o !

.
What are you talking about? Are you saying SA does not train with other countries or send personal on foreign courses? If so you really wrong. You give way to much credit to the intellectual abilities of the UN.

What neutral source? Only india and Pakistan have given numbers and bother are claiming victory in the air war. And seeing our Pakistan lost at sea and the ground I find it hard india lost the air war.

So NAF is using chinas/Pakistan docktrain for there F7 even though NAF does not have the numbers or advance fighters to fight like that.

south africa is NOT an advanced country, remember.
Did you fail comprension?

If some civlian buys a fighter jet he is just a guy with a fighter jet. Same has if you buy a assualt rifel you not a solder. Now ex milltary are ex milltary and got there training in the milltary.

i follow world standard principles of military combat, i dont follow the words of a DENEL marketing manager who does not know how real war is fought....i dare DENEL to show me where they tested Umkhonto SAM against any other enemy missile to prove Umkhonto as an anti-missile missile.

we in defense industry DO NOT accept weapons to do what they have NOT been tested to do...we dont live by assumptions or guessing...it leads to failure on battlefield and death of many soldiers who were misled to believe they are well protected. fact !!!

The Umkhonto missile system provides point defence against high-speed aircraft and missiles at ranges up to 12km. The system provides all-round protection, including zenith, and has a “very high saturation level” through the use of vertical launching, automatic flight control together with multi-targeting capabilities.

Fighter Pilot: LoL!! He will just fire all his 40 units of Otomat but to no avail. Four Valour- type warships with 16 Umkhonto each against one single NNS Arandu will just be too much to take. NNS Arandu will sink to the bottom of the ocean and be seen no more. The only arm that I used to respect in Nigerian military was their land forces but now with a level of this unprofessionalism potrayed in encounter with BH, I would prefare to retain back my honours. Well, their Airforce and Navy had never been any outstanding, those one we can beat on one on one.
It is even better. The valour has 16 extra VL cells. They there for the planed long range SAM(marvin or umkhonto ER) but can carry umkhontos.
