Had same thoughts some days back on my way from lagos back to Abuja on June the 11th. Flight was for 8:15am but was shifted to 2pm (I heard the national assembly guys chartered the plane for their activities in abuja). After boarding, it took them a long time to take off as a result of bringing additional people on board who I'm suspecting were originally for 11am flight. They overloaded that plane and it was the scariest flight of my life. We had difficulty landing.

You can have control without even owning majority share according to ifrs. Nnpc sha doesn't own shell and the likes. I think they are joint venture. But as for who controls nlng, it's the private sector and not nnpc. It's cos of their agreement. As for people saying dpr isn't owned by nnpc, that's correct. But what makes you think there won't be nnpc staff in dpr?

For those of you talking rubbish about passion why do you think the US government spends a lot on their soldiers, pay special attention to their welfare and allowance and even budget huge sums for research in their military hospitals? Why do you think they are always willing to stay on the battle field even in the face of death? Coz they know the government's got Their back if they die. They will take care of their families, to some extent. Without adequate welfare what do you think will happen to your passion? Before you join the US military you'll be adequately intimated on all the welfare packages. They will advertise the military and what you're to gain even better than some private firm in Nigeria that will keep you in the dark with regards to salary.

I thought you said I couldn't walk into NNPC towers, I don't like internet arguments but from what I know NNPC recruits some of the best hands available and their recruitment process is always transparent. I can visit any government office at very short notice depending on the importance of my visit.

Don't even waste energy arguing with anyone. If they believe the recruitment is just formality or its going to be bias or NNPC has already selected politicians children to employ then let them not go for the test. Period.
