It has always been a democratic ritual for presidents of the Nigerian state to confer national awards on eminent personalities for their contribution in nation building and their exploits in their respective industries, but with president Muhammdu Buhari has further proven no one is deserving of a national award 6 years into his presidency, and as far as he is concerned, "Everyone is a dirtbag". Back in 2014, ex-president Goodluck Jonathan had everyone in a gleeful cheer when he conferred 38 Nigerian personalities with National honors everyone couldn't help but celebrate this milestone as it cuts across various tribes, and personalities across board, even ardent critiques of the ex president had to take a pause to celebrate nationhood, same goes for ex president Olusegun Obasanjo who in 2006 awarded a handful of Nigerians with national awards. But president Muhammdu Buhari has proven to everyone that no one is deserving of a national award, not even the late Abba Kyari who died on his line of duty even at his old age. It maybe that the president is unbothered about these things or he is too distracted navigating the treacherous waters of being a president. With all the ethno tribal tensions that surrounds us a people, we must look for ways to celebrate our small wins while we are on the path to Eldorado hoping for the best. While we may have rested our expectations on what we expect from president on what he should do and how he should go about, one thing is clear is that we have accepted our fate with our chin up hoping for the best, we all have our stop watch on countdown hoping for the day his presidency would be over so can come off this self inflicted tribulation since 2015 and celebrate ourselves as a nation. |
People would always bicker about money because our wants are insatiable as a people. In a relationship things can go south once the man dosent bring home the amount of money he used to many years aback, our enemy shouldnt be money but the economy. Prices of basic commodities are rising and wages remain at a constant. If you conduct a survey around you, you would realise that a lot of people became poorer from 2016 up until now. Where i used to live a lot of people use ot put on gen but one day i came outside my house after gaming for a few hours and i discovered that only a few people put on their gen as compared to many years ago. |
Happy2020:Even when you do everything within the books in trying to be a good person, they would still Bleep you over they realize their mistakes half way but i can't look at them twice. The problem is Naija older women aren't teaching young women about character building, the need to be accountable and loyality. |
Well women have always proven that their loyalty/love is for sale. I am still a sucker for true love, the feeling is a great one. What makes us takes irrational descion is the lack of money, when you are in a position where you make good money and you are surrounded by good vibes your choosing a partner wont be because this person is just available, it is going to be because you are comfortable with that person. I am also against marrying or settling without getting to know each other down the line. Forget the smiles and laughs, on of the things i find poignant in a relationship is the ability to tolerate each others excesses and for the fact that we dont really build on relationship's in our younger years, it may be too late to see this flaws and tolerate them when we are much older in he relationship. |
It is disrespectful to compre Shekau who was an international renowed murderer to NK and Igboho. |
As young people we must also try and live sustainably Save in USD to hedge against devaluation Have a plan B just incase things go south. |
![]() ![]() ![]() The way yall litter nairaland with dumb ass post |
Nnamdi Kanu needs to be tact in the actualization of Biafra, he can do this by trying to promote food security in Alaigbo but making sure Igbos are self reliant in terms of food production also, there Nnamdi Kanu needs to get Igbos to save more in Dollars so it can be transferable to the Biafran currency. He needs to do away with the excessive shouting and yelling. |
Until we learn the hack that to build generational wealth like the Indians and Asians both genders have to come together leave ego out of the equation come together combine resources to have a stable union. The Milinenial generation are having a hard time because they have this 'Wolf" mentality and they can make it alone without any help. Society never works that way people took sacrifices so we can be here. Look at young American they combine resources to buy houses on mortgage use that wealth to generate more wealth and pass it down to another generation while ours is to spite, opress our own fellow people. Take a look at MKO Abiola, i heard his wife was one of the people who supported him in his early days, young women should help support their men so they can be something. A lot of men are already loosing intrest in companionship and if you leave a man to have his space that much even if he ends up with a woman he would be as if she is clogging up his space. |
For me it's the loyality how can i be slaving my ass in these streets only for you to start nagging me out. Nigerian women would be stuned to know a lot of men are not buying the idea of marriage or long term companionship anymore. |
Women of these generation have no loyality, but remeber loyality would take you far in life. |
An avg Nigerian woman would never listen to your advise and say you are controlling her. |
If only you know the amount of power you have Go and watch Mr robot so it can strengthen and enlighten your mind. |
The idea of companionship at this stage is strange to Nigerian men, you denied them companionship and female attention from their teenage years up until their 20's told them they aren't good enough because they don't have money. Now they have the money they actually do what they want. You would be stunned by the amount of men who are ready to settle for these kinds of arrangements. |
Sewgon79:Learn to converse with me using proper use of grammar. |
Foolish man after defrauding prospective home owners, he would try and whitewash his image in the media as a saint of some sort, no wonder Yoruba's don't really respect him. |
