lol this story is funny, its what any decent mother with a daughter will or should do. your girlfriend was wrong to take offense! other than that theres no problem, you can either obey your mother and wait until you are both married or you can be stayin at hers from now on.
tbh i dont really think young girls should be spending soo much time at thier bf houses,it doesnt look good, not for any reason than that ive noticed guys dont tend to respect girls than hang around too much

unfortunately nigeria is not should land, with the many sins fayose commited and the laws he broke including a murder he had a part in (probably a few) he hasnt been arrested for them talkless of brought to trial, yet he weekly parades every newspaper available talking arrant nonsense, i doubt the case with oni will be any different
Literature / Any Carl Weber Fans? by zebra543: 10:54pm On Oct 17, 2010
His boks are amazing, especially if you have an interest in the way black men think and what compels alot of them to act the way they do! its like james patterson but about the psycology of men instead of killers!

if you know any other good black fiction writers that write about love and relationships from a mans perspective tell me!

he wants her to signify that shes married, her not wearing it shouldnt be a reason not to marry her-it seems the guy has a problem with women that have free will, if something as simple as that is going to make him break the marriage.
the woman can wear it on her neck or wear asian bangles it doesnt have to be an expensive ring it can be plastic,or she can put his photo in her wallet if he has security issues, not everyone that is married wears a ring, even i will have issues wearin mine in fear of losing it, unless it is well insured
Romance / Re: Are There Any Emotionally Independant Women Out There? by zebra543: 10:00am On Aug 25, 2010
^^ im not talking about destiny child independance but i appreciate your testimony. You dont actually sound like an emotionally independant woman. Contol over flesh works in a multitude of ways. There are plenty of stable women in the western world i was wondering if it was the same for nigerian women. I know in Nigeria being married is probably the best a woman can do with herself, but unsure whether there are some that have broken free of that!

it really just depends, some women feel love can only be proven if the dude parts with money, some women have never gotten that so feel love doesnt have to come with gifts. the latter normally being the ones that feed and clothe thier boyfriends in a desperate bid to keep them! the first being the ones who normally keep thier men, ive always actually wondered why??

people should know beauty pageants really have little to do with beauty; otherwise half these women wont be there! There are alot of things pageants are now representative of, not just physical appearance. i wouldnt say ghanians, nigerians look entirely different tbh
Romance / Are There Any Emotionally Independant Women Out There? by zebra543: 10:55pm On Aug 14, 2010
In the midst of african mindets, are there women here on this forum that dont feel the need to get married? Women that arent desperate for a man? Women that are very happy with themselves, arent desperate for a mans affections and have control over thier fleshly desires? I know back in africa they make a women feel inferior if she doesnt have a man or isnt married, its like the most heightened position in life for them to have a husband, thats why they clambour themselves into all sorts of positions to keep men that dont want them or relationships that give them hell.

No when i say fresher i mean your mentality, i CANNOT think of a way a man will bring another woman into his matrimonial home without divorcing his wife first? Even the most colourful playwriter in the world cannot think of a decent plot to that, but its simply the way you guys reason, you have chuvanistic/biggoted beliefs, im not insulting you im telling you the truth, this century even nigerians are not accepting those forms of thinking, google esther ogunleke. Think properly, what would be your reaction to your wife bringing a man into the house while you are there? will you accept she had a reason for it? other than her being a disrespectful slut? Im not going to argue over it because we are different in our thinking, i just had to point it out.

thameamead in all honesty if taio's dad had done a runner i will support him in his arrogant ways, thats enough reason to never wanna be black! thats why im even mad at him his dad is an amazing person! shirley probably took his name cos her parents were married, papers no doubt! she probably has no clu abt nigeri! who will teach her sef? shes welsh ooo her welsh mother brought her up and thats prob all she knows!
Politics / Re: Sudan Deports 400 Nigerians by zebra543: 2:38am On Aug 04, 2010
Hackney hit the nail on the head with her post

Nigerians are nothing but self important self righteous, arogant and proud fools, as a Nigerian i mean this with no disrespect, We walk around acting like we shit gold and piss perfume when in the end we have nothing to be proud about but the past, what past? the past many of us have never seen, we only hear folktales and legendaries from grandparents about 'once upon a time' when nigeria was this and lagos was that.
what about this time?

the arrogance was displayed when goodluck banned the super eagles doing so out of the fustration that Nigeria didnt perform well, believing we are 'better than that' the truth is we are not. Nigeria has hit 'rock bottom' soo low even a country which has no means of supporting itself has means and money to deport 500 nigerians? this is truly a time of shame

we continue competing with other countries when we have nothing to offer or benefit ourselves with 'we import this' and 'we import that' is that why other countries are pissing on you right now?

Nigerians are known all over as criminals nothing but a bunch of ignorant 419ers, i remember my first time on this forum reading how a lady was scammed yet people were defending the scammer, from that moment I knew the problem was inbred. That superior belief you guys have will never let you go anywhere, you will continue to look at what sudan are doing and what ghana are doing and never see beyond your nose what nigeria is doing!

and please dont blame the nigerans that went in search of a better life, nobody will ever be offered one and not take it, if there was nothing there for them they wont go, you know the way nigerians are already!

Bestglo:

I still do not agree, maybe cos i'm one who doesnt believe in general principle

unfaithful men will say it, women of low self esteem will say it, allow them to say it while you maintain higher standards of life!

loveaflame are you insinuating the woman may have made her husband bring another woman into her matrimonial home? shocked shocked shocked, This is why i dont indulge in conversations with freshers #imouttahere

TV/Movies / Re: Nollywood Slams N250,000 Clearance Fee On Foreign Actors by zebra543: 5:05pm On Jul 30, 2010
londoner:

Zebra, Nollywood has shown Ghanaian actors nothing but love and acceptance. Nollywood has consistently put Gh actors and actresses in LEAD roles, even to the detriment of their own.

I think its very funny that you see their own move as perfect and understandable, but you see Nigeria doing the exact same as some kind of evil. Nollywood has NEVER stopped Ghanaian filmakers making their films.

What is your reasoning behind it ?

I'm still waiting on that list of Nigerian actors who LIVE in Ghana, if you cant produce it then you need to admit that you simply made it up, or are mistaken. You need to provide the evidence.

I said GOOGLE IT! and i wont say it again!

The movie industry isnt built upon sentiments and good will, Producers will cast actors/actresses they know will SELL the movie. It has nothing to do with 'let us help our ghanian counterparts'. When they do they do it for themselves and not for the benefit of any country. IE if the cast majid in a lead role, its because hes the best candidate for the job, has a large fanbase coupled with a decent price tag and will gain them profit, him being foreign might even add an extra advantage and so on and so on- what can NEVER happen in nigeria and AGN know this very well is an influx of foreign actors overshadowing home talents, people will never chose majid over ramsey appiah over genevieve or attoh over ike you can probably even count foreigners in nollywood on one hand.

I never said the move is evil i said the move is immature, and it wont even affect ghanians, because now it will only encourage most of them to keep thier shooting at home, which is what gollywood was going for in the first place! what a boomerang!

@Zebra am sorry for you not sorry for me you dont what to believe, i agree there are better ways we would have treated this but right now i can't get bitter about it cuz Ghanians made the law against Nigerians, Ours is for "Foreigners" see the difference Twerp? And what garbage are you sayin they are ahead of us or better than us? Get it into your noggins we dont want to be better than Ghana. We want to be better cuz its the right fing! They are the ones competing so eff'em. I think you are one of them

Im not ghanian, but i appreciate the progress the country has made, I follow its politics, and there is a huge difference in the way they see and govern things, I see no reason why ghana will ever want to compete with Nigeria, none at all

Celebrities / Re: Taio Cruz Is A Nigerian. by zebra543: 4:44pm On Jul 30, 2010
I dont get that, if she doesnt know who her father is then how do we know she has nigerian heritage? shirley bassey i mean, how is that blck woman welsh? lmao! whatever makes them smile all day!

I have no problem with taio cruz preference, i prefer white men myself, i dont go around saying black men are not attractive, i dont have an identity crisis, nobody cares that seal married a white woman or that iman is married to a white man, if you ask them where they are from or about thier culture they will tell you about it. Black people are not full of wasted sentiments, there are times black people will dip thier bodies in acid to turn themselves white, make your hair as blonde straight and long as possible forge and accent and immerse yourself completely into a a white mans mind, thats cos it was bad to be black, its just a shame people carry that same mentality in a world where we are supposed to be free, we put ourselves in prison.
Taio is an idiot, even if hes a coconut he could have got away with simply saying there are never alot of black women at auditions, hes fooling nobody but himself and his arrogance will get him nowhere! In fact if his comments make the american media he's done for, they dont tolerate coconuts there and they dont give a shite about brazilians! the men anyways!
TV/Movies / Re: Nollywood Slams N250,000 Clearance Fee On Foreign Actors by zebra543: 11:22am On Jul 30, 2010
im not going back and forth on it with you we have different opinions on the matter, we will see how beneficial this new 'fee' is to filmakers and actors in Nigeria now. Im sure its not enough they might even become political with it and let thier 'hatred' for ghana shine through with another bad move

Ruq:

@Zebra573 Hey stop sayin poo here, lol Nigeria must go what? You might want a rethink. So you think they will one day chase Nigerians out of thier country again Then you want them to be absolutely poor to grains! If they chase Nigerians they have destroyed about 70% of their income, you wont want to bite the hand that feeds you would you!

your kidding me right? your trying to tell me nigeria feeds ghana instead of itself? who the hell gave you an education? dont let rascists teach you history, it will blind you. Im not trying to wage a Nigeria vs Ghana war but i dont think you even have to look deep into thier country to know they are waay ahead of you!
TV/Movies / Re: Nollywood Slams N250,000 Clearance Fee On Foreign Actors by zebra543: 3:27am On Jul 30, 2010
CCking dont say that, we dont all think like amaka some of us are very openminded, not blinded by hatred or superiority complex over an obviously more succesful nation, dont follow or agree with 'playground politics, and understand there are more important things to deal with rather than 'getting your own back' at a nation for simply trying to give opportunity to thier indigenes!

People still think this is the 'ghana must go' era- the 'nigeria must go' era is yet to come!

THE AMAKA:

HOW IS IMPOSTING A TAX ON NIGERIANS ENCOURAGING GROWTH TO THEIR OWN INDUSTRY?
if you dont understand that, then theres nothing i can do for you, i cannot dumb it down anymore!
TV/Movies / Re: Nollywood Slams N250,000 Clearance Fee On Foreign Actors by zebra543: 1:33pm On Jul 29, 2010
I mentioned genevieve didnt i? There were at least 4 others that were living in ghana too during the ban, there was a whole article on it in a nigerian newspaper google it i dont have time

#I didnt agree on the indian movie industry stuff but the myopic mindedness you display, i just wasnt bothered to quote the parts i actually agreed with, at the end of the day thier industry is growing they were not trying to be spitefull, if nigerians removed thier heads from thier asses for a minute they will see that!
