kingviny:You are absolutely right... All I am also saying is we should give the children priorities.... Life, preservation of one another, logical disagreement not based on tribe, collective contribution without consideration of personal gains....the children have the best shot at this... Iron hand leadership will develop into a tyranny it always does..... If not for IBB do you think that buhari regime would have handed power over ![]() Infact if you follow our history ALL governments (except Goodluck) never fulfilled That handover promise in peace....they got kicked out..... Power is a drug, once tasted one never comes back except ure a nelson Mandela boss. |
kingviny:They say what elders see sitting.... Until we accept the realities of WHY and how we are in Nigeria and what exactly led to the whole ethnic bull, there is no way out of it... You cannot sweep things under the carpet and expect to get to the "future" in peace... I spoke about beginning to groom the young ones innit...only them can grow innit... Your generation is alrdy as good as gone...and that is the truth boss. Look at the worlds best managed countries, they hold history dear and never lose grip of it... You have to know who you are and how you got here before you can CORRECTLY point to solutions... I will advice you to just pick up some bools written by foremost African writers...you will understand why their solution which has never been thought about/listened to/ or considered is the ONLY way.... Because Africa doesn't know that someone who has lost his way has to go back to the point he started missing it... This is not football where you just employ a new coach and pump money and things start happening, but even in football, Clubs that have culture always outperform those who spend big outa nowhere in the long run. Nigeria and Africa NEEDs to learn, we did not learn from the civil war....and that is the main problem we face as a nation.... Look at Libya, if the fall of Gaddafi fails to teach them a lesson, they will move to the future and still keep running around.... So many people brought this up during the last national conference it was shoved aside....but its really the only way. ...to prepare for that future you speak of... As long as ethnic lines remain bold, there is NOTHING that will make Nigeria a dream land |
Zedoo:Someone should also do me a favour and name how many Nigerian pop/hiphop artistes make music better than fuseODG... And then ask yourself why he isn't that big....publicity... |
GunsAndRoses:How much of ghanian music do you play is the question? Ghana needs to support her own artists that is the only way...less import more self sufficiency esp on radio and tv... |
JeffreyJamez:You see that is the problem of the black man... Do you think the white have ALWAYS been where they are today?? You treat yourself the way you want to be treated... Eedris abdulkareem stood up and changed the way Nigerian show organisers treat Nigerian artistes..... Use our finance as an example If we were self sustained and not doing too much import, would the naira even dare go beyond 2naira per dollar? The answer is NO! BACK TO MUSIC... You see there is a reason why they give you (African) the BET best African act award BEFORE THE MAIN SHOW (while they're still setting up and cleaning) they want you to know your place....and its a message....you have clearly understood and that is why you struggle to be relevant chasing America artistes upandan for collabo..... When you don't value yours, a foreigner will come and also devalue it...and you can't do shit.... If you kick Nigerian music out of Ghana, Ghanaians will hav no choice than to love their artistes and know their songs. Just like we do in Nigeria here. Lets be frank Nigerian artistes sing garbaage, but you hear it all the time on radio , tv etc till your mind is occupied by it... Have you ever asked yourself why no Nigerian hiphop star is relevant in south Africa ![]() They dont give a damn about M.I... They listened to thrash until Aka khuli chana proverb etc came along... You have to create your own value system....else psquare go come Ghana go disrespect dia artistes becos after all they are bigger than them in their own country.... |
kingviny:These epistles.... See anything you think should be done and doesn't start from nursery school/primary school level, just forget it... The blackman's recklesness is NOT an adult thing... You cannot teach an old dog new tricks... 90% of the Nigerian graduates as at today are already bigots and social disasters who care about themselves only.... God will not come down because Nigeria is having troubles, nay Africa, heck even the whole world... Being organised Is a character that is built from a very tender age.... The history of the biafran war needs to be taught to kids...only then can they grow knowing the possible ripples of their actions... Anything other than that in the Nigerian context will fail woefully.... You don't win wars by sweeping things under the carpet.... Its the same ethnic bigotry that is on display everyday on nairaland where people who operate "smartphones" and are in "the jet age" display what their parents put in them. We have all been fvckd up. . Anybody that is in primary 1 right now upward to the highest public office (president) is ethnically fxcked alrdy by the simple fact that we have been thought to see wrong and look away, do only things that favour our family and ourselves.... Its not a matter of organising seminars or praying for God to touch hearts....do WE want change? The answer is NO...if we did, we will be ready to go 3days nationwide strike everybody that is interested.... Put every government related thing on hold let those people you call "government" see how useless they will be without errand boys and yes men....see who they will see to govern. But that cant happen...because we all know people who know people, what is right doesn't matter, Na WHO you know and how much you dey make.... If money was the sole concern of the white man, his country won't be as developed as it is today.... In other words except we go back and really understand our history we cannot and will never move forward as a people who call themselves a nation....and the best chance lies with people in primary school and downwards right to the kid unborn.... |
If you know you suffered to do NYSC and you still don't know what to do with your life...yoi are waiting for Npower abi some oda kinda scheme or govt to "make everything right?, I want you to come forward, Come here, Asin here on this spot.... A little more forward.... Exactly... Look up at the sky what do you see? *stretches my right hand to my back till it touches my my left hand, and delivers a thunderous slap sending Christmas light and shockwaves to your ear drum* I know you cant hear me right now oh, but can you see anything now ![]() |
Wow. I really got enlightened after reading this topic.... Can the person below me tell me Tha fxck this is doing as news? |
JeffreyJamez:I taya for d guy o...ppl go just hear tins for beer parlour begin quote without doubt |
He is right...they should promote their own stuff more. Even sark said it....dey gat ppl...but the media is bullcrap |
chccho:Ure very narrow minded-its disgusting. Are all interviews english-based? You all are hippos. You will lick a white man's ass over and over again and worship the floor he walks on, if he appeared like That for an interview. Does the term "graduate" have anything to do with English ![]() People study languages in some countries that don't speak English as a major language. Being literate is being able to read and write IN ANY LANGUAGE (Igbo , hausa, Swahili)... Your attachment of graduation to English language is abysmal. "wisdom" and intelligence and communication in ANY language, ability to work with others, and learn new technology in regards to the ever changing environment rank higher in any boss' requirement for employment... Not all beards are "dirty" or "unkempt". Your African perception of "ok" is pathetic...materialistic at best.... Which is the same reason why everybody who smokes is a tout, and anyone wearing tatoos is an animal...in your head.... These things do not define people.... Same reason why a bag of rice will buy your generation's vote any day anytym... Short sightedness and dismissal even before trial. Go and read Edvard de borno's "lateral thinking". Merry Christmas. |
hardbody:Even motor park touts gat uses. If you owned your job, your perception of appropriate will be different... Swerve! |
fiizznation:Hasn't, Doesn't, can't, won't, will never exist in a military force where people get into high ranks by favour and connection...... There is nothing like intelligence....in Nigeria... Intelligence means... 1- delaying already known easily-accessed piece of information waiting for more catastrophe to happen, more people to die and get desperate for help, before swooping in to make the action look very invaluable to the public. |
Daytime* 1 hour - made. 2hours - received Night* 5hours made and received. |
piousMind:Lol baba. Na so God want am o. Merry Christmas bro! |
So here we go!!! Conceptual stuff. Acrylic and egg base on canvass. 24x30 inches.... Title: Untitled Merry Christmas Hello!!!!

ThinkSmarter:Lagos state has an advantage for being capital for over 50years including the european regime.... The way people claim Lagos you ll think they helped build and establish it... |
How many have read "there was a country" by chinua achebe....i guess 5% of the ladies... But they will follow celeb gossip lyk life depends onnit...and later you complain your boyfriend/husband is daft or u only get approached by daft dudes.... This is the seed...but i am sure you hav read toke makinwa's book and probably have it as pdf.... Kudos.... *** Meanwhile abj peeps holla at me whatsapp 08105683368 Mk we hang out tmrw and Monday too Guys n ladies alike. |
Please it should. Mk my bitcoin trade to naira users dey turn up well |
Going thru this thread....95% of people here are daft.... So what is wrong with being interested in art ![]() ![]() ![]() ??Lame streamlined minds, the exact reasons why the bulk of the country can't move forward.... So there is still something wrong with being interested in art in this age ![]() While you crowd cinemas to watch movies with special effects, 3d movies, animation movies on your phone and cartoon comedy skits....and you forget that for each move you are watching some genius actually sat down to draw each slide ONE BY ONE and the animation artist sat down for months to simulate them, and for all these to be done correctly for you to appreciate the movie, a very good knowledge of colours (painting) and lighting (painting) and anatomy (drawing and sculpture) is required..... And you sit here to say some ladies learning to paint are daft? Their brain is paining them? Very funny indeed...... So every body must still be a doctor or a lawyer in this age ![]() And for the ladies you think fashion designers are what Tailors![]() They combine colours and invent styles to fit your body.....they are artists!!! Art is everywhere around you gadamn it.... Yet you look down onnit and underestimate how important it is to you... Most fashion schools employ sketch tutors, painting tutors etc to train their students because without sketches and colours and good knowledge of human anatomy you cannot be a fashion designer...its not by talking.... Be educated....even if you attended school... Good morning. |
COOL10:Truth! Do you know since when boogey has been underated.... ![]() Mehn .naija |
kazuna:Wow. Bless boss...really?? Wow...honoured baba.. |
With all due respect to hiphop. Eyan mayweather Really?? Whack lyrics back to back with salty flow??Scared of olamide?? Soldier over reggae blues as collabo of the year? Well debatable... Fada fada over reggae blues as song of the year.... Very laughable.... Maybe e-money pulled this... |
AbuMikey:Its a logical stand. Name one vec album as a reference point. Go and listen to Oga Boss album. Bliss has more hit rap songs, pure hiphop not singy singy. 2. Bliss has better songs, vec is always playful...wordplay from beginning to end...no deep stories... 3. You all hate bliss because he doesn't RHYME like the normal rapper....his style is innovative and will be appreciated when a new guy comes up and polishes it... 4. True its an opinion but I am a very hardcore rap fan....same thing thats wrong with vec is same thing that's wrong with luda. Both Dope lyricists just too playful and barely have albums with enough depth.... |
NwaEzefuNaMba:Thank you! And as soon as it gets scarce....blackmarket will spring up again. Its practically impossible to eliminate black market as far as money is concerned |
Love Machine:Dey have gone to one oracle again.... Naso Dem go do abracadabra another thing go start again Dem go begin find who to blame... No be this same people float the naira some months back? No be Dem cosign the parallel market?? Confused governance |
druxy:I said the same thing...someone said he s doing juju and somehow I might blv it... You cannot listen to an Eazi song once and not find yourself suddenly singing it d next day.... Dude is addictive....he has something about his sound n voice that is just it. And he is well cooked in that Tonga sound, unlike Nigerians trying to switch up to it, dude has been at it for years...and yea he sounds lyk he is not stressing much....but its not easy... Wizkid wasn't deaf or blind for seeing, listening to and signing him.... M barely an Eazi fan...but its lyk when burna came out with his sound....same way people reacted... You either love it or hate it no sitting on the fence... Mr Eazi also gathered mad wave leading up to the headies....his sound has blown away every other thing....its not even about hits right now...its about innovation....leadership....ycee is still new to dat sound (omo alhaji). With the way eazi turned it up with so many different mad tunes all hits....you will know he owns dat sound..... |
favoryte33:I wish you knew. |
