My advice - buy a 1.5/2kva 24v inverter, one 40amps Mppt charge controller, sell ur 1kva/12v inverter. Connect ur panels 2×2 config. #cheers

N:B you can get gud used inverter at affordable prices from pple that upgraded their system

Jst check if ur mppt has a nominal voltage of 12v, if ur panel is 24v,u can connect ur panel in parallel or even series two 24v as long as it doesn't exceed the max input voltage of the cc(usually btw 100v to 150v).the Mppt ll tk care of the rest. Also check ur nameplate to mk sure u r nt exceeding the current ur controller can dish out

This was the exact thing that drove me to Fantron after 3 Tracer experiences. It seems all the tracers (Never tested the Itracer before though) have problems with finding MPP during and after a cloud cover or when sudden load is applied on a sunny day when the battery is on float. All the tracers I have would force a restart when it get confused and on able to determine MPP. the worst is the BN series. That thing can stay 10 minutes finding MPP.

Sometimes I got amazed with the way guyz reasons in this forum. I knew it is a federal university and every Nigerian has the right to work or studies there without discrimination or whatsoever but I don't think what happened in that university could be tolareted anywhere in this country. How on earth would a state with less than 10% indegenous Christians a recruitment will be conducted and more than 65% of those recruited are Christians and most of them not within the political zone (though it is legal) Imagine a Muslim VC in federal institution in a Christian dominated state e.g. Imo or even plateau state in the north will employs 40% Muslims staffs and the people of the state will just fold their arms and let it be .. It never happened and will never happen in nigeria let's be fair to our selves

Bros use the 24v hybrid, i bliv it's a pure sine wave inverter. get a proper charge controller Mppt preferably(I dnt trust the controller embedded in hybrids) n u gud 2 go

Hello house, my laptop. LG precisely 4gb ram core i5 is no longer coming up, once u press the power button, d led lights comes on, the hard drive rolls(weakly) but the screen doesn't show anything, after some seconds it shuts off I.e led light nd hard disk rolling.

I have a a keen interest in solar energy since the first day i stumbled upon this thread. Thank you all for the info on solar. I want to start using solar to power my appliances and i would be grateful for some pointers. I want start small and make add-ons as and when funds are available.

1. The max for my CC is 780w, can I use the 4 panels totalling 800w?

If yes what's my best way of connecting them?

2. If my CC Max rating is 30a, won't it be a problem if my CC is producing almost this on a constant basis because of my 800w setup

3.can I use normal 10mm cable or it's best I go for the amoured cable

Distance from panel to CC will be 7m

Distance from CC to battery will be 12m


These distances is a result of optimum position for the inverter & battery

The location of the CC in my balcony is safe from water but battery at ground level won't be

Should i work out a way to put the battery there, I can't put my inverter there

Meaning if my CC & battery is at Same location, my inverter will be inside the house 12m away from Battery

Option 2

Run cable straight from Pv to CC-battery-inverter all located inside the house, 19m

My only concern with this option is ventilation

So how do I go about this please
