i think the question really should be, what is the conversion efficiency of these built in charge controllers?
i personally like to think that you cannot be a jack of all trades so i tend to avoid products which try to deliver
so many functions all in one. experience has taught me that there's always a trade off.

unless we can find a way of comparing the performances of the separate functions and can confirm that they
are indeed at par with their stand alone counterparts, i think savvy peeps will still prefer to go for products
that will deliver reliable performance while giving the high efficiency most sought after.

Spot on GeorgeD, there's a reason despite hybrid being cheap, single unit remains expensive n refuse to drop in price. They r nt foolish.... My 2cent

well I just believe got one with factory defect. i got d poly panel @ 55k with similar ones going for 37k at that time, thinking it was superior.
u have a good point regarding expansion under hot sun. am planning to donate it to engineering students at a nearby polytechnic for their study who knows it may inspire some minds.

Solar Depot has a name and reputation, not had issues since buying from dem and I don't think if u have any issues with products they market, they cannot amicably resolve it with you.

chinko panels are known for over rating/miss leading labeling. d 350w mono may in fact be 150w. what is ur solar depot doing to protect us knowing we need it.
d other day my indianTata150w poly panel just cracked under 2 months of installation.
let's help AE with tested stuff. pls kindly let us know result of ur tests under nija weather conditions it will ur market.

In as mch as I agree with you there are genuine chinko panels in d market, it all boils dwn 2 ur supplier, get good supplier and you have gud panels. If u need genuine panels check my signature.

What u shud knw is, not everyone here in Nigeria use a standard inverter setup, sum pple jst use Wat dey v to get Wat dey want, wen sum1 v a car ba3 lying useless sumwher for months and sum1 from nowhere gifts him a 12v inverter, he den remembers he is having a car ba3 lying sumwher nd connects it to d inverter, viola it works and gives him extra 2hrs backup on wateva appliances he is using it wit, will u go ahead n start preaching deep cycle 2 d person, sumtin he got by chance n it's working 4 him, do u tink he ll leave it because it is unethical to use car ba3s wit inverter. I dnt tink so sir. Sum pple by chance got access to disposed telecom ba3s of diff sizes. They squeezed out moni to get n inverter to utilize dose ba3s, it's workin dts al dt matas to dem, wen moni coms dey ll do sumtin standard. The guy in question says sum1 gifted him a 12v, were u expecting him to throw it away, anyway it all boils dwn to wateva rocks ur boat, nt everyone ll do sumtin standard at 1st,if tiger batteries were an option, pple ll use it. What you have is a 12v 200ah system not 400ah.The 6v batteries are in parallel.You have to connect the additional 12v in series which I strongly advise against.It is not proper to link batteries of different age.One could end up dragging out the other.

Wat u did is u connected ur 6v batteries in series, since ur inverter is a 12v system, u ll ve to parallel ur already seriesed 2 unit of 6v ba3 to the single 12v/200ah ba3s, tk the positive of d 6v ba3 dat is supposed to go into the inverter to the positive of d 12v ba3, also tk d negative of d 6v ba3 dat is supposed to go into the inverter to the negative of d 12v ba3

Imagine am yet to see more than 24amp harvest for a 4 battery bank of 200aH any day.

Please anyone selling 80amp MPPT or 40amp MPPTs?

If you have the money do away with pwm and use mppt, that way you ll enjoy ur money, if u dnt v d cash nw, mk sure u put it in mind that u ll change ur pwm soon, 2kw array is a lot for u to even use pwm.
