This is exactly the kind of mentality that stagnated oue football in the mid 2000's. The then national team managers preferred inviting every Tom Dck and Harry playing football in Europe to the detriment of some homebased players who could have brought more to the table.
I can't get my head round a player like AyodeleMakinwa getting invites while an obviously better talented strikers like Victor Ezeji and Kelechi Osunwa were ignored. These two guys are 10X better than Makinwa in my opinion.
An inform and youthful Okey Odita was neglected while Abbey George who played non league football was picked. How about Onyekachi Okonkwo? Guys like Ifeanyi Ekwueme, Ikpe Ekong and Seyi Olofinjana and the rest of them who served up dross were chosen ahead of him. Not because they were better but because they were playing in Europe.

Talents should be assessed based on ability not their base. I stand down.

Not everyone can score the best goal, you require special techniques to do so, talking of tackles, Ndidi this season has the best successful tackles(10) in a match only second to Kante(14). Bros go do ur research Ndidi was included in the first eleven best players for Europa and you are mentioning Etebo, go check how much Leicester paid for him and how much the unknown Portuguese club paid for Etebo

25yrs is still very young. Statistically, Players peak between 27-30. He still have a whole career ahead of him.

With more time on the ball, the striker has the chance of having more good plays than poor ones.

Aguero also dropped to the wings too. This is what I hope Iheanacho picks up.
