elyte89: Can we just rest abt dis onyekuru guy,at least Rohr has invited him,let him come down and prove his worth, we Have not even started talking about him. The guy has made a name for himself with all the attention on the two previous world u-17 winning squad. As long as he continue to score or perform for his club, the talk will not stop. Make I borrow a line from a previous comment "if onyekuru was half Belgian half Nigerian, people would've long clamour for his invitation. |

Mickael2: Awoniyi? Ok now that's funny. I agree that Onyekuru is presently better than Oshimen. I mean Oshimen is playing for a mid table team in Germany where Leipzig is about to place second but this lad was wanted by perennial scotish champions, CELTIC!!! however I disagree that Awoniyi has been in better form than Oshimen in as mush as I prefer. Oshimen over Awoniyi, Awoniyi is in better form to Oshimen |

You are basically talking about another player not onyekuru as in he "end result" talk shock me, I was like do this guy really know what he's saying. |

It marvels me the way some forumites talk down on a players achievement saying onyekuru play against a "water defence", whatever that means. They forget s. Moses play against same defence, Ekong is not seeing game time with such defence. Some say OSimhien is gifted while onyekuru is not, the just run without no end product(23goals). Some people need to fear god |

Icon4s: I singled Onyekuru out because I see him as a better prospect than the other two.
I am just anxious to see him in a more competitive league. That's it.
It is not even an issue of him being invited cos I have also clamoured for his inclusion in the Super Eagles.
I just want to see him on the same plane level field with young wingers like Iwobi and Success. And let's do the analyses and counting ok bruvn I gat you, I just feel most sports analysts are not hyping the guy because he didn't play for any of our youth teams |

Icon4s: Let Onyekuru start playing for West Ham and let us start the 'real' counting. why single-out Onyekuru, we should have waited for kayode to move to a better club before the "real" counting or Odey move to zamalek before "real" counting. Henry has done enough to prove he's better to some invited SE players. A 19yr old scoring 21goals in his first season for a lowly rated club and some want us to look down on those goal because to them it was "fake" counting. |

AIG07: have once stated this here. Even before chelsea became the favourite to win this season's EPL.
From my earlier post. You'll see that I stated that I fancy the set up. But it won't be easy integrating it into a national team set up.
I don't even know what to say when u mentioned that we've got the players to execute such a tactics. The truth is, presently we've only got Moses who is only sure for 65mins game time here in africa and to think we need atleast 3versatile WBs makes your claim a joke. Before this season would any believe Moses can play the WB role, according to Moses, he was never informed nor trained as a WB before that first game, so can't say how many SE players can perform well as a WB. What do yu mean by we need 3versatile WB, clubs that play 38games or more a season and with the liberty to buy players can't boost of WBs |

Humility017: I am a Chelsea ..but I won't advocate these formation for SE.... it is not realistic and put us in trouble.... football is evolving, check hw many coach adopted the formation this season alone. Even the stubborn arsene Wenger. What you should be asking is if we have the player to execute the formation, I'll say YES |

AIG07: Good! Aside Moses, Kindly give me another WB we possess in our arsenal?
You need to factor other things when it comes to playing in Africa. I don't expect you to forget how harsh our Weather can be, the pitches are way different from what you can get in europe. I bet you, the Moses you've just mention will burn out in 65mins if played in that role.
We can try any formation we need be it 2-7-1, 3-6-1, 3-5-2 or 1-8-1. Make we shall qualify first with the conventional 4 man defence our players sabi well well. Even with 4 men we no get clean sheet and you wan make we put 3 otondos for back. you need to know how the 3-4-3 works before condemning it. How many goals has arsenal conceded since they switch to 3-man defence, don't be confuse by the 3 men you see at the back, its actually a 5-man defence when the opponent are in possession of the ball, Moses and Echejiele can play the wing back role very well with ndidi infront of the back 3 |

Joebie: I've not heard the likes of Siasia, Oliseh, Amuneke throw criticisms at Rohr.
I think Garba Lawal and co need to get busy.. You can't invite every good player at the same time. Onyekuru is 19 and has many possible promising years with SE. Why the noise? All these are distractions. As long as we are winning let's throw our weight behind the coach. Odey is 19, Osimhen is 18 many possible promising yrs with SE are they better than Onyekuru |

The list is a very good one! Rohr keep roaring. when will this guy Onyekuru get his chance, he should be in he team now. The cohesion between himself, nacho, iwobi, ndidi should start now, I'm not happy with his omission if those names are for real. |

Icon79: Omo, you live and die by your results...it doesn't matter how you procure them. If packing the bus gets you the result then so be it. A few years ago, Mourinho's Inter Milan packed a tank against Barca at Nou Camp but still come out winning the match and eventually winning the UCL championship. So are we gonna put asterisks* to that championship win because they packed the bus? No, I don't think so.
Take it from me, Man Utd would do better than ManCity in next year's EPL. And that's all that matters.

kennysville: I wonder how we easily forget that no one chased enyeama out of the national team. If today we still love and respect Okocha, Kanu, Finidi and Odegbami, it is because of the good they did and not the evil. Vincent may be loved but may also be forgotten too soon. Many of us can come up in here and trash Oliseh about his man management skills but we are yet to even lead our immediate family, talk less of leading a whole neighborhood. This is clash of Egos and enyeama certainly believes he has a bigger ego giving how many years of service. If he chose to retire, then there is no issue of reinstatement. I once heard that he said he will rethink his decision if nigeria qualifies for the world cup. Ehen! Na so e be? Monkey don work, baboon go chop abi? Truth of life is nobody.... and i repeat Nobody is indispensable. He got his opportunity and thats why he can make all the noise. Has he stopped to think of what if he was overlooked? Now we dey form big boy. This is the problem with us in Nigeria. Inability to look someone in the eye and tell the truth and correct wrong doings. We allow sentiments to cloud reasoning. Which of us will be a coach and allow insubordination? Especially when younger players are watching. Well thats a story for another day Bros, you spoke very well, how will someone say Nigeria should give Enyeama unreserved apology. Maka y |

CFCman: I will also support the reinstatement of Enyeama. It won't be weird if he returns because there is precedent for it.
Recall that in 2005, France had to beg the likes of Zidane and Makelele to come out of retirement to rescue the team from their then floundering WC qualifying campaign.
Of course, we all know that France eventually qualified for the 2006 WC, and Zidane played a starring role in the "Les Blues" march to the final.
However, I worry about Ikeme's confidence once he recovers from injury. Would Rohr retain Enyeama as the number 1 goalie, or reinstate Ikeme to that position? Fortunately, our world cup campaign is going fine without Enyeama, a nice keeper but he's done with the national team we are not begging anyone to play for Nigeria, not Aina, Ibe, Lookman and definitely not Enyeama. |
