Are you sure you read the writeup or you just want to argue, most guys on this sports section don't give a fvck bout Man city we just want what good for Nigeria players. From last season Iheanacho was their poster boy, mancity fans brag about nancho in their club, if arsenal or ManU call Iwobi or Rashford they call Nacho, he was like a man city project, he was use to project to the world the growth and quality in the mancity academy, even when this season kits was unveiled, Iheancho was one of the players called up, so if you are telling me Jesus is now the poster boy after few months then our boy Iheanacho gat no future in Mancity.

My list compilation was in no particular order. Sorry I dint point that out.

I think South Africa have made some giant strides in the past few years. They deserve to be in company of Africa's best teams.
Their team is relatively young and I see an upward trajectory going by the standard of their league which is being reflected in the Caf champions league. If Countries like Zambia, Zimbabwe, Uganda owe their recent improvements to the PSL, how about South Africa themselves who owns the league?

I watched SA play against Burkina in Ouagadougou, they should have won that gave if not for the dubious penalty call in stoppage time. Against Senegal, they dominated the Teranga lions for long periods. Let's forget about the controversial referee call in their favour but based on the balance of play, they deserved the win.

I deliberately left out Maroc because they haven't done anything worthy of note in football at any level for the past 10 yrs. Absolutely nothing. Even down to their clubsides. They aren't just there yet, infact I would rather have Cape Verde than Morocco. Technically the Cape verdians have been more successful than Morocco over the past few years,they were ranked inside the top 30 just last year.
A fluke win against a fledgling Ivorian side counts as nothing after all these years, in my opinion.

we should forget the bad officiating against Senegal but point to the one against S/A(are you for real?). I think the list has to do with national team and not club football, so I don't see where sundown come into play, if we go your angle then England should be in World top 5 team.

Actually I need an advice on a project topic I want to propose In school and I want to know what you guys think about it. I'll appreciate your opinion(s)..... the topic is "THE INFLUX OF FOREIGN FOOTBALL LEAGUES AND IT'S EFFECT ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE NIGERIA PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE (NPFL).
OR THE ROLE OF THE MASS MEDIA ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE NPFL. NB: These are topics I want to present for my lecturer, I just want a topic based on football in Nigeria or Sports.
I'll appreciate your contributions and opinions Thanks

That is understandable. When Aguero or Bony injured or not performed well, Nacho got to play because Pellegrini plays with two top strikers. That is all. Now we play with one under Guardiola. Simple.

I have said repeatedly, this is the time for development, not glory. A year or two under Guardiola will give him that development. After that, glory.

I said this before Guardiola joined City.

How do you rate these "development" is it by attending his training session or watching him sit on the bench since not getting playing time don't matter.

Pellegrini was never going to bench Aguero for Iheanacho. He plays two strikers. That was why Iheanacho was able to see games. Iheanacho was still behind Bony in pecking order. Unlike Guardiola who sent Bony on loan and kept Iheanacho.

Iheanacho should keep working hard. Another chance will come. Aguero is there for Iheanacho's taking. When the next time comes, Nacho needs to blow.

I think as you can see from most comment on this section, most prefer the Iheanaacho of last season that was "Behind" Bony in pecking order.

We Africans and the Europeans, especially from top footballing nations do not have the same opportunities. If Alampasu with his talent was English or Spanish, he would not be were he is now. He would be in a better club. Sometimes, the National team help push their quality players.

If I remember very well, Dea gea was in goal for Spain at the 2007 U-17 world cup and it took him close to 7yrs to come close to the senior national and you could see the growth,not alampasu of 2013 with no significant improvement.

When we think in that perspective, we scrutinize better. When a coach is not sure who is the best, he needs to scrutinize them closely in training and make up his mind who is the best.

Nigeria believed in Oliseh before top clubs did. Sometimes, the country takes the lead. Africans have a tough time getting clubs to give them a chance to prove themselves. Look at how Girona treated Chidi Nwakali. Left him on bench all through the time he was there despite his top quality.

Cassillas was not invited to camp from a 3div club to come fight for shirt, I don't want to go into the experience or not part of the discussion

Courtois and De Gea were doing well at 18 because coaches believed in their abilities and gave them a chance.

However, if for instance, Alampasu is the Super Eagles no. 1 goalie, clubs and coaches will have the motivation to try him.

It is about the platform to show what you can do. That is why I will support searching for the best. Courtois, De Gea, Cassilas got to where they reached at their young ages because of someone not looking at their ages but their abilities. We need to develop that culture of giving our best players the right push at a young age.

The clubs can not do this easily for us.

Mr Joe, its not done that way, club have to believe in a player first before country Courtois and Degea had to play top flight football(not div 3) for more than two yrs before their various country start to consider them for reserve(not even 1st choice)

The problem is that, I already said that that is why he is doing wonders. With the squad that took fourth last season, he has tried to make us a brilliant passing side. It takes a lot of drills and hardwork to achieve that.

That Bravo IMO is about the worst goalie in the EPL this season. He only managed to catch one shot in yesterday's game.

Ref don't overrule assistant, dey deliberate on the incident and come to an agreement. Why do ref consult the assistant before taking some critical decisions.

I can not okay everything City do. I was mad at the sacking of Mancini. It was crazy after he came second in the FA Cup and League. The whole not qualifying for Europe will come but the management were impatient. We are still paying for that action because he was one person who knew how to build a formidable squad.

It is still the same old thing I have cried repeatedly on this thread. Experience is overrated. What is the use of the Experience when Zabby and Yaya can not shield the defence. We have a young Alex Garcia. It is better we play the young players than have the so called experienced players performing abysmally.

With Kolarov, Clichy and to some extent Sagna performing poorly, why send Maffeo and Angelino on loan. Beats my imagination.

I doubt Adarabioyo can perform as poorly as Stones did today.

The centre referee decides. They can be helped by their assistant but in certain cases the referee might be in as good or even better position to decide and they can rightfully overrule their assistant.

Mr rule you lie, the ref always look to the assistant when it comes to offside calls, the ref can never be in a better position cos the assistants are always with the last defender.

The ball Iheanacho passes to Sterling was awkward. It was is if he was abesent minded. The ball was snatched and that run led to the goal.

Sterling lost the ball and not Iheanacho, I saw so many awkward pass from Silva, de Bryan, yaya but that pass was not awkward.
I know you guys must always link a goal conceded by man city to Iheanacho.

You cannot blow a game for half time or full time on a dead ball. The ball must be in play.

For example the number of minutes declared for extra time was 3 minutes and an injury occurred at 2:59. It then took 4 minutes for the injured player to be treated, the ref cannot blow for full time until the free kick is taken and only 1 second can be played.

I suspect something similar happened here. By football law the ref cannot wait to see what happens in the penalty area before blowing the whistle. Time is already up.
