Hello fam. I was going to apply for Bachelor of Petroleum Tech at SAIT, but the tuition turned me to Usain Bolt. However, I will be starting my MS in Power Eng in Germany, tuition-free, come October. I feel this is a smarter move, considering that the school is ranked top 60 globally. Ultimately, I would like to work in Canada after my study, as I have learnt that Power Engineers are highly remunerated in CA. What are the possibilities of securing employment with a Canadian firm from outside Canada? I am considering doing internship with a Canadian firm while studying. Are they known to give full-time employment to foreign-institution students who do internship with them, after their study?

Totally agree. The Germany thread is also amazing. The US student visa thread for some reason is full of a lot of fluff... its signal to noise ratio is very low though there's some really good info there too.

MY CONCERN how is masters or Ph.d applications biased and fair when compared to PGC, PGD? Though I got your points but do not get matters worst for masters and ph.d applicants.

We should stress on the processing time of applications and not whether they are fair to PGD/PGC or Masters applicants. Guess they've more than one visa officer...with different perceptions. Our focus should be on timeline and the fact that school resumes in September.

Pray that your application is reviewed by the right Visa officer that would see reasons with your claims

Your mail could have been more objective if you had not included (Applicants going for Master and PHd programs are receiving a biased and fair treatment compared to PGD/PGC applicants). You should have discuss your problems in its entirety as you can't judge someone else application. I believe each applicant's case is different. Only discuss your concerns in its entirety with detailed logical grounds before concluding.

I doubt if Foreign Affairs would want do anything about this. I'll rather suggest you individually complain to or tweet the Canadian Immigrantion Minister - John McCallum. If he gets so many complaints, he'll be asking Accra questions.

I ordered for my Gcms file after i was refused for insufficient funds for my MBA, so this was the VO summary why i was refused.
1,You claim your spouse and brother are both paying for balance of your tuition fee and living expenses but you did not provide evidence of relationship.
2,both sponsors claim they are business people but i did not see an evidence of business in there statement of accounts.
3,both sponsors balances are not sufficient enough to pay the balance of your tuition and living expenses as promised. Statement of account of my husband was(5.6 million) while my elder brother was(6.9 million).
So I applied in April, attached his international passport copy,white wedding pictures,traditional wedding pictures,court wedding pictures,church wedding certificate, court wedding certificate and hubby age declaration certificate as prove of relationship to sponsor.
I presented a statement account of 12.7 million with total cash inflow of 32 million. The account had good inflow and during the time of visa application he made a deposit of around 5 million within one week which was spread and the day he printed his statement of account a deposit of 1.2 million came in few minutes before the statement was printed out. But all the money that came into his account came directly from his business account to show evidence of business activities. I also attached his CAC document without Tax clearance certificate. he also presented his Domiciliary statement of account of $10,100 united state dollars
My husband wrote a well detailed sponsorship letter indicating how much will be made available for my study. Other document remain on charge, so that was how i tackle the problem of insufficient funds and got my TRV.

My wife still carries her maiden name since we werent married before her application was approved. My questions now isWhat are the necessary documents I require to apply for the sowp bearing in mind she is yet to change her name and can my aunt statement of account be used as proof of finance for the application? .Advice and output are welcome

I just got contacted by CIC and I saw that my app has been refused based on:
purpose of visit and that; your proposed studies are not reasonable in the light of one or more of your qualifications, previous studies, employment, level of establishment or your future prospects and plans.

Seems you missed the point I was trying to make. All Nigerians on this program have a first degree from Nigeria. Some even have MSc from Nigeria. For the fall semester of 2016, I already picked up two people from the airport coming in for this same program. One has a degree from Covenant university and the other one from OAU. Both applied from Nigeria.

I paid my fees thru my dad's account, got refused visa (personal assets, no relationship with sponsor and insufficient funds) so I have defered my admission till January. I'm thinking of adding my dad's soa dis time around but it's has less Dan 3m as closing balance plus he's retired so no major source of income. I asked my main sponsor(family frnd) to make a financial commitment of 4m,he has sent 2m remaining 2m. Sponsor gave me his personal bank statement with closing balance of 320m and his company(secondary school) bank statement of 10m. I don't knw what else to do
