tosinhtml: It's not really about class, even in the poorest of places in Lagos EG: Makoko, a plate of food in this new Tinubu's dispensation still cost between 400 - 800. The same amount you quoted. The reason why those guys are surprised is because 99% of the guys in that room eat from their mothers pot. They haven't gone to the market before to purchase anything. They don't pay bills, nothing!
That's why when taking feedback from social media, remember to ask for the ages of the people giving you feedback. Most of them are between 16 - 20.
My brother, go back and watch the video. They are laughing because she says she spends more than N4,000 per day on eating out. That means she will be spending over N120,000 per month eating out.
Over N120,000! on just eating out!
How much does the average Nigerian have left from his wages after removing transport fare to work?
VeeVeeMyLuv: All these salaries have been rendered useless by incessant inflation, poorly thought out inhumane (insensitive, a crime against humanity) govt policies.
Ideally whenever these inflation hike, and devaluation occurs, salaries supposed to automatically go up so the people can cope, afford things, maintain their purchasing power.
What most people are living is not called life, it is something else worse, for gawd sake majority of Nigerians can no longer afford the basic needs of life!
Struggling to feed, struggling to cloth! Okrika is not a quality life! Abeg
All these are miserable quality of life.
these are the issues Nigerians should be discussing on Nairaland. Not Davidos babaymamas
thesilentman: Chai op,heaven no sure for you o.Am just about gathering all my human right activism knowledge to lambaste the perpetrators of this gagantuan animalistic act.My blood is already curling not knowing...what a topic!
purples25: Okay, I know the average Nigerian earns little, but can you explain this to a baby born or unborn? Or the staff at a hospital before delivery, or won't she give birth in a hospital? How does the man want to by pass all the things the baby needs, unless he means to neglect that baby.
Toh, it is possible to do with less, but do you realize that having a baby on less means running from pillar to post looking for funds up and down? Well, there's no problem. They can do delivery at home, scrape money for antenatal and all other pregnancy complications. Buy two shawls and baby things at any trader's store in the market. Also feed baby pap when the baby is ready for food to reduce cost. Cloth nappies, and second hand clothes as baby is growing.
Persephone1: He didn't state his earnings at the beginning of the relationship, he continued to live in an illusion his previous job created, that is dishonesty on his path. The lady assumed and didn't talk finances until she later found out and left. Like every other Nollywood movie luck smiled on him and he got high paying jobs which he lost to crypto. Lol I'm glad the lady also had something going on and when she contacted him, she wasn't on the level she was when she had left. There are so many irregularities in the guys tale but that's not my focus here. My focus is, the girl didn't like what she saw and left. She did no wrong , she did no right either, she made a decision which was best for both of them. If she had waited, she would have had to witness another failure to make good decision from the guy. Who puts all his savings in crypto? 🙄🙄
A new girlfriend? No Over six months girlfriend? Income range A fiancee? Income range
CuriousStudent: Lol.. during my final year a plate of rice and meat and moi moi/salad was 800. Bottle water 150. I will not even count transport going and coming to the canteen That is over a thousand naira.
Three times a day is 3000.
I didn't add in between snack or chippies.
Or were people thinking a plate of food( not buka) is less than 500 anywhere?
How much is it to cook a pot of soup or stew? How much is a breakfast? A satchet of Milo and peak milk, 200 naira. Two eggs, 200 naira. A good loaf of bread is from 800 and above(let's assume you eat one-quarter of a bread that is 200 ). Then those that go an extra mile with Titus sardine(600) or hot dogs and baked beans
Those that begin our day with a cup of espresso.
Naija men avoid this woman. Meet the one that you will soak bread inside Lipton or top tea and eat. Please just leave her and go for your class
