this happened to one of our clients. We went with the client to the embassy to complain. Their office is at Usuma street maitama. we advice our clients that want to go to a schengen country to make Germany their first port of entry. German Embassy is more straight forward.

Hi,i am having the same issue,i submitted at d vfs application centre to belgium on the 4/5/15 up till now i havent heard from them.and my booking date was on the 14/6/15.its more than a month since i submitted my documents to them.does anyone know d delay?

Mr zik4ever! U mean 1000 pending applications? DD u really believe dat shit? I call it story for de gods! Was there 1000 pending applications during my own time? Dis is just their own way of delaying every thing! Go to history u ar gona find out dat Belgium is de worst country in visa proccessing. They just specialized in fustrating pple, dats just de fact. Ur frnd and other pple experiencing dis delays.. Shuld just wait and pray for the positive out-come their visas... Note: sometimes they stay up 3-4months before calling up the applicant. Am talking out of experience.

Three young men are currently cooling their heels in one of the dreaded cells of the State criminal Investigation Department, (SCID) Yaba, Panti for allegedly gang raping a 16-year-old virgin (names withheld) in Orile area of Lagos while on her way from school. The suspects identified as Sunday Simeon, 18, from Akwa Ibom state; Adebayo Omoniyi 18, from Ondo state; Nnaemeka Uzodinma 24, from Imo state and Seyi (surname unknown) who is currently on the run attacked, abducted and gang raped the victim who is a JSS 3 student on June 23, 2015.

Vanguard learnt that the suspects attacked the victim after one of the suspects; Adebayo took the victim’s phone around Arikeuyo junction while returning from school at Orile. It was gathered that while the victim was struggling with Adebayo, his partners-in-crime dragged her into a tricycle and rode her to no 15 Unity Close in Orile Iganmu. When they got there they took off her school uniform and raped her one after the other starting from Adebayo.

Vanguard gathered that after successfully raping the victim, one of the suspects Adebayo suggested to the other gang members that they kill the victim and throw her corpse into the canal so that she won’t expose them. But another member of the gang, Seyi pleaded with them to be cautious with Adebayo’s advice, instead advice his colleagues to threaten the victim rather than kill her.

Hearkening to Seyi’s advice the suspects threatened to kill her with a cutlass if she ever mentioned to anyone what they did to her or that they gang raped her. Later they collected her phone number and rode her back to Alako area in Orile while Sunday gave her N100 to board a commercial vehicle home. According to a source close to the family who spoke to Vanguard on the condition of anonymity said: “when the victim came back from school it was obvious that something was wrong as she was walking with difficulty, her uniform torn, she was bleeding because she sustained severe bruises all over her vagina”.

“Her parents who saw her torn uniform and noticed the way she walked asked what had happened to her and she told them how she was attacked by four men who raped her on her way back from school. Immediately her father took her to Orile Divisional Police station to report the incidence. Fortunately while she was at the station with her father the suspects kept calling and threatening to kill her if she told anyone what they did to her”.

Meanwhile the victim was taken to Ifelodun Ajeromi Government Hospital where she received treatment after a series of test were carried out on her which confirmed that he has been sexually abused. Vanguard learnt that the police advised her to lure the suspects who were calling and threatening her by telling them that she was coming to see them again after school the next day. Unknown to them that it was a trap and that her parents had notified the police, they bought the idea.

At the agreed time she went there with the detectives who succeeded in arresting one of the suspect’s Nnaemeka Uzodinma, his arrest eventually led to the arrest of two others. It was gathered that the victim’s blood stained pant and the cutlass which was used to threaten her have been recovered from the suspects one-room apartment in Orile. The suspects who are currently being investigated at the State Criminal Investigation Department, yaba, Panti would soon be arraigned in court.

Two female doctors were raped at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH) when armed robbers invaded the health care centre, Chairman of Resident Doctors Association at the hospital, Dr Ikechukwu Ukweh said.

Addressing journalists, he said that was one of the reasons they embarked on an indefinite strike. He said the strike was to demand payment of salaries, training entitlements as well as upgrade of facilities.

Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr Thomas Agan, who said efforts were being made to resolve the industrial action, said it was one doctor that was raped.

“I got to know about the armed robbery incident recently. You see, this hospital sits on 4.316 hectares of land, and part of the perimeter fence has collapsed. It is therefore very difficult for our hospital security to effectively police the premises. This makes the hospital very porous and vulnerable. Recently too, two cars belonging to a doctor and a nurse were stolen within the premises of the hospital. Even patients have had to escape through the broken fences. I appeal to all to see security as everyone’s business even as I plead with the federal government to release funds meant for us to defray debts and tackle this challenging security issue”, he said.

Agan said the challenges were not peculiar to UCTH. He assured that the management was working very hard to ensure that the strike is called off within the week.

Any southerners living in the north needs to leave because this kind of killings are not going away any time soon. The north has a big social, religious and cultural issues they need to address. The northerners are not only wreaking the economy and stability of this country but also hurting our reputation on the international stage. Who would have thought Nigeria would be competing with pakistan, iran etc in murder rate.

I'm surprised that people are surprised as Buhari fired his CSO. The moment he issued a counter memo ordering DSS operatives in return to be close security details of Buhari, I knew that his days as CSO were numbered. In fact, his minutes were numbered. Actually, I expected him to be fired immediately. He didn't seem to know the position of the ADC. Anyone can say anything. I've always said that I've never been a fan of Buhari, but now he's President, national security comes first. He DSS is rotten. Buhari fired understands that he needs to purge that department and that's the exactly what he's doing. We just have to learn to live with that.

CSO is usually appointed from DSS. don't forget we have a messed up TANoid DSS. The president needs loyal immediate staffs.DSS is rather compromised n loyal to Otuoke.

The ADC has been with Buhari since 2011 and not the CSO.
