Christianity EtcWhy Many Pastors Will Go To Hell – Pastor Chris Oyakhilome by zik4ever(op): 9:27am On Aug 28, 2014
Founder and head pastor of Believers Love World, popularly known as Christ Embassy, Chris Oyakhilome left members of his church shocked with his revelation while preaching the message on Sunday.

According to City People, while delivering the message titled ‘The lessons of Lot’, Pastor Chris explained to his members why most pastors will not make heaven.

“Many pastors will go to hell for not obeying God, some are not called by God, some just called themselves for their personal reasons, some are in the ministry to serve their senses”, he stated.

The popular pastor said some churches started out of strife and that some pastors left their churches where they were to go and started another ministry because of anger, strife, misunderstanding or envy.

He said, “Sometimes, it is between a pastor’s wife and an assistant pastor’s wife; you need to learn to obey God in all, I don’t want any of you in such situation. Make up your mind to obey God in everything”.

PoliticsAPC Presidential Ticket: Buhari, Kwankwaso, Others Meet On Emergence Of Northern by zik4ever(op): 8:12am On Aug 26, 2014
As the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) works out the guidelines for its presidential primary election slated for later in the year, leaders of the party from the North-west geopolitical zone have started strategising to ensure that the presidential ticket of the party is clinched by a candidate from the north.

In this regard, THISDAY gathered that former military Head of State, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), Governors Aliyu Magatakarda Wammako of Sokoto State, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of Kano State and Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara, held a closed-door meeting on Sunday in Kaduna to ensure that a northerner clinches the APC presidential ticket.

Sources said the meeting was summoned by the National Vice-Chairman of the APC in the North-west zone, Alhaji Inuwa Abdulkadir.

Discussions at the meeting, sources disclosed, centred on how to raise resources for the primary election and fine-tune modalities for the successful emergence of a northern candidate.

The APC chieftains were said to have discussed how to dislodge the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the North-west zone by producing majority of the governors and lawmakers during the 2015 general elections.

Buhari and Kwankwaso are believed to be nursing presidential ambitions in 2015, although the duo are yet to make their intentions public.

However, a source privy to the meeting declined to state which of the men – Buhari or Kwankwaso – would be the preference of the North-west should both men decide to throw their hats into the ring.

Politics#bring Back Our Northern Domination By Femi Aribisala by zik4ever(op): 1:42pm On Aug 21, 2014
The only way the APC can redeem its perception as a supporter of APC party is by putting forward a South-South man as its presidential candidate in 2015.The Northern Elders Forum, the apostles of “the North is born to rule,” finally played their joker. They maintained that if the government does not #Bring Back Our Girls by the end of October, 2014, Jonathan should forget about running for re-election.This again reveals that there is more political mischief to the kidnapping of the Chibok schoolgirls than initially meets the eye. As a matter of fact, it shows conclusively that #Bring Back Our Girls is simply another instrument of #Bring Back Our Northern Domination. The First Lady understood this clearly from the onset; which is why she declared that: “There is God o!” The people of Borno understood this. They have always known that their own feudalist leaders are behind the kidnapping of the girls. With the statement of the NEF, Nigerians must no longer be in two minds about this. The kidnapping of the Chibok girls is part and parcel of a cynical plan by some Northern elements to embarrass the government and militate against Goodluck Jonathan’s re-election plans. For this very reason, Goodluck Jonathan must not only run for president, he deserves the support of every Nigerian determined that this country should not be surrendered to the Boko Haram. It is unfortunate for the APC that its interests are in the short-term the same as those of the Boko Haram. Indeed, the only way the APC can redeem its perception as a supporter of APC party is not by its insistence on fielding a Northerner, but by putting forward a South-South man as its presidential candidate in 2015. Nevertheless, it would still lose the election.New and old NorthIn the Nigeria of today, there are two discernible Norths: the new North and the old North. The new North is perennially progressive. It is the glue that holds Nigeria together. While the South-South threatens secession; the South-East is still reluctantly Nigerian and the South-West would rather keep Nigeria at arm’s-length; the new North remains the only truly nationalist component of the country. It never threatens secession but is preoccupied with national unity. The new North is the North of men like our most successful industrialist, Aliko Dagote, now the 23rd richest man in the world. It is the North of men like Ibrahim Gambari; our point-man and intellectual giant at the United Nations. It is the North of men like Nuhu Ribadu; whose courage in going after thieves and robbers in the EFCC led to his being hassled out of the police. It is the North of men like Father-Reverend Matthew Kukah, a Catholic priest with a national social conscience. It is the North of men like Mohammed Buba Marwa, the most dynamic governor in Nigeria during the Abacha regime. But subsisting beside this new progressive North is the old North of decrepit old men who have lived for long as parasites on Nigeria’s oil wealth. This old North is the North of #Bring Back Our Northern Domination; a North of indolent political has-beens; looking for pensions from national coffers. It is the North of recalcitrant yesterdays men who had lived large at the country’s expense and are hankering after an inglorious past where they spent the national patrimony with the profligacy and abandon of irresponsible firstborn children. This is the old North that ran down the nation’s resources. It is the North that built nothing and grew nothing. It is the North that ate up our groundnut pyramids. It is the North that, despite being in power for 38 years, failed grievously to educate Northern children. It is the North that paid lip-service to the North but cared nothing about the welfare of Northerners. It is the North of those who kept their fellow Northerners in the bondage of abject poverty under a feudal system where, like dogs, they fed them from the crumbs that fell from their table. This old North is the North of men who are now reduced to pathetic bluster and blackmail. It is these same Northerners that are now crying #Bring Back Our Northern Domination. But they can no longer fool the new emergent North; and they certainly cannot fool the rest of the country, except perhaps a few gullible and power-hungry Yoruba chieftains. The new progressive and nationalist North has long rebelled against the old feudal North, but the #Bring Back Our Northern Domination brigadiers have yet to receive the memo. When as far back as the 1993 presidential election, the old North presented yet another feudal lord in the person of Bashir Tofa, as successor-prince of the Niger, the new North refused to play ball. Although Tofa was a Northern favourite-son and Abiola from the South, the new North opted massively for Abiola; refusing to be persuaded any longer by the lie that Northern interests are best served by Northern feudalism.Back-fired coupIn desperation, the old North hatched its most audacious coup d’état yet: it annulled the 1993 election. But then, suddenly, it found itself naked and isolated. Its traditional sources of support melted away. It took it another six years of Abacha’s recalcitrant regime for the old North to realise that the centre could no longer hold. But it comforted itself in the belief that it could continue in power by choosing a pliant Southern successor to hold fort for a few years while tempers cooled and then relaunch its #Bring Back Our Northern Domination project just as before. The choice of Northern feudalism in 1999 was Olusegun Obasanjo. His credential was that in 1978, when fate handed him the position of Head-of-State, he was very mindful of Northern feudal interests and dutifully handed over power back to a clueless Northern feudal lord, in the person of Alhaji Shehu Shagari. But it soon dawned on the old North that the second-coming of Obasanjo would be different from the first. Obasanjo’s first task in regaining power was to demolish feudal Northern power first and foremost in the army. Once he started that, the old North was up in arms.In spite his limitations, Obasanjo was a nationalist. While he was nominated for president by the feudal North, Obasanjo recognized that he was elected by Nigerians and especially by the new North. Therefore, he refused to play second-fiddle to Northern feudalism. All Obasanjo would agree to was that power would ultimately return to the feudal North, but even that only after he might have remained in power for a wishful-thinking period of twelve years.Nigerian good luckHowever, Nigerians sent Obasanjo packing after his statutory eight years. He then dutifully handed over power to another Northerner of the old school, Musa Yar’Adua. But this time, it was not only fate that intervened; it was also Nigerian good luck. The illness of President Yar’Adua made the return to Northern domination short-lived. While Yar’Adua was incapacitated, the #Bring Back Our Northern Domination feudalists conned he nation, flagrantly raiding the treasury by fraudulently forging cheques in Yar’Adua’s name. But they would soon pay a penalty for this. Goodluck Jonathan, a South-South man, was sworn in to complete Yar’Adua’s unexpired two years. After that, he became eligible for another eight years; making it a possible total of at least ten years of political wilderness for Northern feudalists.Up in arms, the feudalists shopped for a Northern Goliath to oust Jonathan from contention in the 2011 presidential election. Their choice of Atiku Abubakar suffered ignominious defeat by Jonathan in the PDP primaries. All hope then rested on Buhari, another apostle of Northern domination. However, the old North could only mobilize 11.8 million votes for him from Northerners in the 2011 election.Instead, the new North gave Goodluck Jonathan of the South-South a massive 8.4 million Northern votes in 2011; in preference to its Northern regional champion of Buhari. At the same time, the outright rejection of Northern feudalism by the rest of the country was evident in the fact that out of over 38 million votes cast nationwide; Buhari could only obtain 391,922 votes from all the states in the entire South put together.Last gambitHaving finally realised that a major segment of the North is no longer amenable to feudal manipulation, the #Bring Back Our Northern Domination brigade has now decided to enter into a marriage of convenience with certain gullible elements in the South-West who are inclined to sell the Yorubas into slavery, for the sake of their personal political ambitions. In their greed for power, these naïve Yorubas are blind to the plan of the Northern feudalists to use them merely as stepping-stones to Aso Rock. But this plan has already come to grief. Things have quickly fallen apart in the backyard of their ACN alliance partners in the South-West. In 2011, ACN obtained a measly 0.8% of the PDP vote in Cross River. In Rivers State, it obtained only 0.9% of the PDP vote. That is how you know these states are PDP strongholds. The opposition is not just defeated; it is decimated.Fast-forward to today, on the eve of the 2015 election. The ACN (now APC) loses the gubernatorial election to the PDP in its so-called stronghold of Ekiti, losing in all the local government areas in the process. It then struggles to win in Osun, conceding 42% of its vote to the PDP. And yet, this same APC would like us to believe that it is going to be a problem for the PDP in the 2015 election. Pull another leg! With the game clearly over before it has even begun, the #Bring Back Our Northern Domination brigade has now resorted to its backup plan: to use the #Bring Back Our Girls campaign as a tool to force Goodluck Jonathan not to run for re-election.However, this has turned out to be one big blunder. All it has succeeded in doing is in raising cynical questions about the very kidnapping of the Chibok schoolgirls, the so-called assassination attempt on the life of Muhammadu Buhari and the despicable extent to which the #Bring Back Our Northern Domination vanguard of the APC would go in their desperation for political power. - See more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/08/bring-back-northern-domination/#sthash.08qjnkVK.dpuf

DIGs are selected to represent each geo-political zone and in this case, there was no AIG from the South East so the CP chosen who was the most senior from the South East was promoted to DIG. DIGs are considered more or less as "political appointment".

PoliticsBoko Haram Members Are Not Muslims – Amaechi by zik4ever(op): 8:20am On Jul 30, 2014
Rivers State Governor Chibuike Amaechi said yesterday that those who killed and maimed people and destroy property during the holy month of Ramadan are not Muslims and urged true adherents of Islam to unite and fight terrorism.

Governor Amaechi spoke yesterday while addressing the Muslim community in Port Harcourt as part of activities to celebrate the Eid-el-Fitri.
The governor, who was represented by his deputy, Engr. Tele Ikuru, urged Muslims in the country to use the occasion to unite against terrorists and other extremists who hide under Islam to perpetrate violence, thereby bringing the religion to disrepute.
“It amazes me that people commit evil even in the holy month. The month of Ramadan is a sacred month. It is a month of fasting and sacrifice, totally committed to honouring Allah. If indeed the things they say they are doing are for Allah, in that holy month they would have respected Allah. The fact that they did it and desecrated the holy month clearly shows that they are not fighting for the religion,” he said.
The governor thanked members of the Muslim community in the state for their support and promised to pursue policies that will engender peaceful co-existence in the state.

PoliticsOsun Guber Election: Islamic Leaders Reject Gov Aregbesola’ Overtures by zik4ever(op): 8:16am On Jul 25, 2014
Is this PDP-sponsored propaganda?

Few days to the governorship election in Osun state,Governor Rauf Aregbesola has launched consultations with Islamic leaders across the three senatorial districts of the state. Reports from the encounters of the governor however indicated that many Islamic clerics in the state are not satisfied with the performance of the governor in the last four years .
Investigations showed that the meeting held at Osogbo with Islamic clerics from the Central zone ended in chaos as the governor was allegedly accused of idol worship by vocal clerics and of doing nothing for Muslims despite his earlier promises.
At the meeting held late in the night at the residence of a top Islamic leader, the Muslim leaders were said to have challenged the governor to mention one thing his administration did for Islam to justify their supporting him for the second term. The governor was also accused of raising the profile of traditional religionists by declaring a public holiday for them and reflecting their symbols in state institutions .
The governor was quoted as telling the clerics that he did not favor the traditionalist but only provided a level playing field for all religions. The explanation was said to have angered the clerics more as they used the governor’s argument to justify their allegations that he is not a true Muslim.
The central zone muslin leaders were reported to have directly challenged the governor to name any one mosque that the administration helped to upgrade,a question said to have infuriated the governor who said it is not the duty of his administration to upgrade mosque.
A young cleric was said to have asked the governor whether it was his job to have spent thirty million naira to build a stature of Ori Olokun at a junction at Ile Ife and another ninety million naira to rehabilitate the Ifa house also in the same town.
At this point, the meeting was reportedly brought to an abrupt close with the governor storming out of the meeting,an eye witness recounted.
If the meeting at the central zone was turbulent and deadlocked, that of Osun West held at Iwo was even reportedly more hot and heated with the governor and his men begging the clerics to support the second term aspiration of the governor.
An eye witness account reported that the meeting started with the governor warning that the PDP is plotting to destroy educational progress of Muslims students by deliberately failing them and by returning schools to missionaries.
” He told us the clerics that Islam will be in danger in Osun if PDP wins. He said something about schools going back to owners among others. When they asked us to respond,we reminded them that Islam had good time during PDP regime and that we see no evidence that the PDP is against Muslims .
” We then asked him to explain why in the last four years he had promoted one small body over all established Muslims sect and associations. We asked him why he is so close to traditional worshippers. We asked him what exactly he has contributed to Islam “, an eye witness recounted.
The governor surprised at the line of questioning was quoted as telling the clerics that he contributed to Islam by his dress and wearing of beard. He also warned the clerics not to be swayed by PDP propaganda.
The clerics said to be very bold in their interactions with the governor responded by telling the governor that his policies have not assisted Islam but rather created image problem for the religion.
A state commissioner was then reported to have intervened by directly begging the clerics to support the reelection bid of the governor and promising that all grievances of the clerics will be looked into.
Checks revealed that consultations for Osun East was put on hold because of negative experience in both central and western senatorial districts .
A top Islamic leader in Osogbo who crave anonymity confirmed series of meetings the governor held with Islamic leaders and informed that most clerics are not comfortable with the governor’s second term bid.
According to him,” we met the governor . He failed to explain his romance with traditionalists. He failed to point to anything he did to help Islam . His bid to blackmail PDP as anti- Islam backfired because we know PDP is not anti- Islam .
” The truth is the governor did not behave like a Muslim . So we are thinking he should not use Islam as a cover to get power. That is why the meetings failed “, the cleric said.

Islam“it Is A Peaceful Religion” – Actress Moji Olaiya Converts To Islam by zik4ever(op): 10:10am On Jul 09, 2014
Nollywood Actress, Moji Olaiya who recently converted from Christianity to Islam has disclosed why she made the decision.

Speaking with Encomium magazine, the single mother of one, said, “honestly, Islam is a peaceful religion. The aspect I love most is that you don’t need any pastor to get closer to God. You don’t really need anybody to pray for you. You can always pray on your own and Almighty Allah will answer your prayer without any intermediary. I have been doing that since I became a Muslim and it has always worked for me. ”

Debunking claims that a man she’s dating influenced her decision, she said
“That is the problem I have with people. When you say you are doing something, they believe a man must be responsible for it. No man influenced my decision to identify with Islam. I have just said it, my mother was an Alhaja before she converted to Christianity. Islam has been a religion I have always loved. I have been in-between Christianity and Islam but just recently I decided to embrace Islam fully and there is no regret doing so.”

PoliticsConfess, Forsake Idolatry Or Forget Re-election •prophet Tells Aregbesola by zik4ever(op): 9:08am On Jul 09, 2014
Osun state Governor, Rauf Aregbesola has been urged to “publicly confess and forsake idolatry” or forget his second term bid in the August 9 election.

The Founder and General Overseer of Hour of Mercy Prayer Ministry (HMPM), Prophet Muhideen Moses Kasali, made this call during a monthly programme on the Breakthrough Mountain in Ibadan.

He said God was not pleased that the governor had embraced idolatry and would see to Aregbesola’s re-election if and only if the governor is ready to forsake idolatry and give glory only to the Almighty.

Should Aregbesola heed the message, Prophet Kasali said the incumbent would win the election no matter the number of those contending with him.

The general overseer had declared that Mr Ayodele Fayose would coast home to victory in Ekiti days before the election held on June 21.

He, however, called for prayers for Ekiti so that fire outbreak would not rage in the state and the nefarious activities of the Boko Haram spread to the South-West through the state.

The cleric also called for prayers in Lagos, Ogun and Oyo states over massive flooding that would wash away human beings and properties in the states.

Kasali also called on Nigerians to pray fervently for President Goodluck Jonathan and the Vice-President, Alhaji Namadi Sambo.

Prophet Kasali said the prayer was necessary to avert a fire disaster that would send the duo packing from Aso Rock, asking Nigerians to seek the face of God to avert the disaster.
