Without a doubt, Agbaje would have gladly and effectively ceded Lagos to the Igbos. He admitted himself that his preferred choice as deputy was a flattie but the Yoruba Lagos PDP vehemently opposed it and told him straightup to perish the thought. Thank goodness he didn't succeed.

Imagine that.

If he had made a Flateeno his deputy and succeeded in winning the gubernatorial election, the Flateenos would be planning how to give him visa to the hell fire he bolongs and take over Lagos by now.

That God the Afonja lost to Orobokibo Ambode. God Punish Any Afonja That Wants To Harbour Evil For Us Again.

We should have a hit squad that would specialize is issuing visas to Saboteurs aka Sabos. I've always have the thought. God punish any bastardd that will set us back again.

Goodnight jarey.

And RIP to Owa Obokun, Sun Re Oooo Baba.

In my own opinion, those Ilorin peeps should be left alone.

We don't need people who do not share the same goal with us, let them decide for themselves(we all know they'd do anything to please their fulani masters). The other towns, apart from Ilorin, that want to join us are welcomed.

Marriage is not by force, our table is full already.

I read online that Owa Obokun of Ijeshaland had Wajad(wo aja).

Sun Re Ooo Dr Gabriel Aromolaran.

Hmmm. That is one thing I noticed whenever I speak general Yoruba, dey understand. But whenever they are communicating withing themselves I don't pick a single word from it. sad

I think same with the Yoruba of Kogi and some Part of Akoko Edo also.

Akokos are just like every other Yoruba sub-ethnic group. They speak general Yoruba and their local dialects.

What's funny about Akokos is that each community/town has its own dialect. I as a Yoruba hear some of the dialect when they speak while I don't understand some. Some Akokos don't even underatand each other. For instance Ibaramu Akoko, no one understand them when they speak apart from a native of Ibaramu Akoko.

I studied at FUTA and had some Akokos as friends. Let me invite one of them to show up. Ogbeni tolababa, your attention is needed here.

Where is Prof Katsumoto nah? How I wish he could make contributions to the thread.

But I thought Sopona was the Yoruba word for 'smallpox'! shocked

Yes it is. Our people used to call it Sopona in those days. Infact out of ignorance, they used to offer sacrifice to gods to appease Sopona to stop killing people. Not until the cure was found and missionary built schools and hospital that our people knew Sopona that they feared was just a disease and not wrath from gods. Ignorance at its peak lol.

Our people embrace western education and christianity which went a long way in liberating our people from ignorance and took them to places.

Today, we are enlightened. Thanks to God and Missionaries.

Ijesha folk are great folks - high flyers.

Are the Adenles from Ijeshaland, or just a next part of Osun?

Some Dapo Fagbenle guy that I posted here yesterday...his chic is an Adenle and apparently her grandad used to be the king. You need to see this girl and her sis, they're two of the most beautiful chics you'll ever see. I can post their pics - even their pics won't do justice to how extremely beautiful they look in person lol.

I don't know where the Adenles are from. The Fagbenles should be either Ijeshas or Ekitis.

I grew up in Ile-Ife, I can't even speak Ijesha very well despite the fact that my both parents are from Ilesha. They went to do Osomalo in Ile-Ife in 1974. We were all born and raised at Ife. I speak Ife dialect more than Ijesha. I hardly visit home.

You are doing a good job Bro.

Still, I follow.

His brothe Barrister Sapara Williams was the first Nigeria Lawyer.

Sopona, I learnt Sopona ravaged Ijeshaland for years in those days before they found remedy. So it was this man that provided the remedy. Nice one, local disease requires local cure.

Till now, some local Ijesha people still use sopona to curse someone. They would say "Sopona La Je Ojure or Sopona La Pa Ooooo". My people can rain curse on themselves.

You are doing a wonderful job ProfShymex.

I hereby give you a Chieftancy Title - The Okanlomo of Yorubaland.

This type of thread is neccessary.

It is important to negotiate very well before the new nation is created in order to avoid another South Sudan.

Heck, if Singapore could stand on her own as a country, what stops Ijaw from standing as a Nation.

It's better they ask for their own nation. There is nothing like be in charge of your destiny.

Wish Ijaw Nation best of luck.

What an interesting thread.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: My Experience Today As An Applicant. by zimoni(f): 4:46pm On Oct 26, 2015
Sashafm:
Being recently churned out by NYSC, on October 15th of this month. I have always heard about how precarious it was to get a job in this country without connections, but I did not actually know the gravity of it until now. Armed with my 2.1 certificate from OAU (The best University wink) and my NYSC discharged certificate I thought now I have arrived to become gainfully employed.

I left Lagos for Abuja just 2 days after my POP, alas, after sending out countless applications and applying for any job that fits my criteria, I have not even been called for a single interview!!!.

I was swayed after a week and thought to myself, if I wouldn't be called for interviews I would go in search of the companies my self and make an appearance. I was Wrong sad. I am not really conversant with Abuja very well, but i was determined to go in search of a job physically instead of gazing at my laptop all day long. I dressed in my best, looked very corporate even wore my corporate court shoes that i painfully bought from my alawee in the hope that when I get called for interview by Standard chartered bank or PWC grin, I would launch it. Anybody that met me on the way would think I am a business executive,on my way to seal a contract deal.

Started the long journey to town as I stay close to the airport. on getting there I started from Wuse zone 3, as I had earlier sourced from the internet the addresses of companies that had posted vacancies in Abuja. My plan was to go and submit my CV in person .Unfortunately for me I was even unable to locate the offices as, the Address given on the internet did not even correspond. mogbe moment was activated as I was lost, broke and on heels with no direction. I was being turned back at most of the offices, that was when I realized the gravity of being an unemployed person. At a point removed my shoes and changed to my sanders as i had packed them in my bag. Dejected and sad, I turned back home. And here I am at home again. Glued to my laptop and scanning for job again. It is indeed pathetic.

You failed to tell us what you studied.

What did you study Ma'am?

Bro, where exactly in osun is that? Myself and some others are working towards improving education in osun state. We intend to start soon. Anything that would breed interest towards education. What we noticed is that, majority of them are into the quick money fallacy, hence for majority of them, education is not an option when okada business is there. I agree with the poster that said okada should be banned. It's constituting a far greater problem for us.

Brewery, it's one of the most profitable investment. Water constitute about 90% of the material. Atakumosa West LG, I'm from Ilesa West LG though. We are working on the capital, the target is 20b.

Yes, that okada business is really causing nuisance. Some of our farmers(Ijeshaland for example) have even left abule/aba for okada riding at Osu, Ilesa etc.

Our government need to look into that okada business.

I don't know why some Yoruba dudes will not mind their own business.

We created a thread to discuss success stories and development of Yoruband in nl, yet many of them are nowhere to be found.

The Biafrans want Biafra, they are tired of the forced marriage. If we can't help them in anyway, we should not hinder their quest for their own nation.

We Yoruba's really need to wake up and smell the coffee.

Leave them alone, they are Biafrans, you are not.

I once spoke about this one of my previous comments, this PDP/APC nonsense are part of the problems we yorubas have. Yorubas will sabotage the efforts of fellow Yorubas because they don't support the same party. In ondo state for example, there is an OAU lecturer who refines untapped crude bitumen in Agbabu, Irele of Ondo State, to Cold Mix Asphalt but guess what he's APC chieftain in Ondo State and Ondo state is controlled by PDP.The same man gave the Ondo state government suggestions on how to manage the bitumen in Ondo state, till date we haven't heard anything

Yes, you are right. I know the Scientist.

One of our major problems in Yorubaland is sabotage(Abode or Igbeyinbeboje).

I noticed some Yoruba dudes have been avoiding this thread because they don't want to post anything that would annoy their paymasters.

The APC/PDP brouhaha is really sabotaging a lot of things. If you are not a member of their political party, they won't have anything to do with you no matter how good the idea is.

God deliver us from saboteurs aka sabo.

Yes, Hausas don't really love us. They only align themselves with us in order to checkmate Igbos.

I support Igbo's quest for a new nation 100%.

Genuine love is not there, we are only faking it.

Different people with different culture and philosophy lumped together forcefully in a nation called Nigeriya.

I've stopped attending Padre Hour at work since PA to our MD bashed Yoruba's, the azzhole didn't know I was listening. That very week, the Preacher(our MD) asked us to face eachother and pray for ourselves and the azzholes was beside me. I sha pray anyhow and left for my office after the service. I realized my prayer would not be answered because I'm not happy worshipping with some azzholes. I've stopped attending since then. The azzholes is from Plateau State. He speaks his dialect, Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba fluently.

Nigeria is fake. That is the truth.
