Former Spokesman to ex-President, Goodluck Jonathan, Reuben Abati has informed the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, that he has no money to refund to the government.

Abati who was recently arrested by the anti-graft agency for allegedly receiving the sum of N50m from former National Security Adviser, NSA, Col Sambo Dasuki(rtd) was quoted by Premium Times as telling interrogators that he had no immediate means of sourcing the amount for which he is being held in custody for.

The ace journalist also informed the commission that he could not provide documentary evidence how he spent N50 million he collected, adding that he disbursed the sum as cash and material gifts to journalists during the 2015 campaign.

The source said, “We thought he would be able to pay N5 million yesterday, but it turned out that he doesn’t have any money.”

EFCC had earlier granted Abati bail after asking him to drop his International Passport and produce a surety of not below level 16 in the Civil Service as part of the conditions for his release.

The founder of the Synagogue Church of All
Nations, SCOAN, Prophet T.B. Joshua, has reacted
to claims he had gone to Ghana to help rig the
December 7th presidential election for President
John Dramani Mahama. A popular Ghanaian pastor, Rev. Isaac Owusu-
Bempah, had claimed that T.B Joshua had plans to
help president Mahama win the elections in
December. The founder of Glorious Word Power Ministry
International, made his claim known during an
interview with Ghanaian online TV program.

Rev. Bempah said, “There is a man of God from
Nigeria in town, he’s here for nothing. “The power he came with is too small, nothing he
plans on doing here will work. “If Ghanaians make mistake and allow John
Mahama to win this year’s election, the calamity
that will befall the country will be unheard of. “Mark it on the wall. God is angry with Mahama, he
has blood on his hands.”

The presenter then asked him, “What man of God,
is it TB Joshua?” Rev. Bempah replied saying “Yes.” But dismissing the allegation, the popular Nigerian
prophet, on His Facebook account – TB Joshua
Ministries, said he is currently in Nigeria and not in
Ghana as claimed. In a statement, TB Joshua said, “This is an official
announcement from the SCOAN: There are rumors
on the internet stating that T.B. Joshua is in Ghana
to offer spiritual guidance to political parties.

“Please know that these rumors are 100% false. “.B. Joshua is not in Ghana, he is in Nigeria. Do not
listen to the father of lies. “Such reports are false and should be
disregarded.”

Justice Dije Abdu Northerner of the Kano
state High Court yesterday convicted and
sentenced former Oceanic bank staff, Aliyu
Suleiman, to 195 years imprisonment
for stealing over N21, 000,000 (Twenty one
Million Naira only) from Albasu Microfinance Bank. As a former staff of Oceanic Bank, Aliyu was
engaged and entrusted by the Albasu
Community to take charge of their
Microfinance Bank. While in charge, the he
violated that trust and siphoned over N21,
000,000 (Twenty Million Naira) by forging signatures of the other signatories to the
funds. He was first arraigned in court on September
30th, 2014. He pleaded not guilty to all the
count charge brought against him by the
EFCC. Delivering judgement in the charges
brought against him, the presiding judge,
Justice Northerner sentenced the convict to serve two years on each of the first forty four
counts he was charged with and a fine of
N300, 000 on each.

Where the convict defaults the fine, he is to
serve additional six months imprisonment
on each count. From count 45 to 74, the
convict was sentenced to fine of N500, 000
or twelve months imprisonment on each
count while on count 75 to 105, he is to pay fine of N200, 000 or twelve months
imprisonment on each count with the
exception of count 97 which appeared to be
duplication. The sentences are to run concurrently. The
convict was also ordered to restitute the sum
of N14, 815,000 (Fourteen Million, Eight
Hundred and Fifteen Thousand Naira Only)
to the Albasu Community or spend five more
years in prison.

The Enugu State Police Command has refuted
claims it arrested a group of men allegedly behind
the leaked lesbian sex tape of former Miss
Anambra, Chidinma Okeke. Reports made the rounds on Thursday that the 7-
man gang was apprehended in Enugu. According to a Facebook user, Martin Beck
Nworah, the police arrested the guys at ‘Enugu’.

He posted some pictures of the alleged suspects
and wrote: “The guys are allegedly part of a 7-
member gang who specialize in blackmailing
ladies, especially UNIZIK students. “They are allegedly the guys who leaked the viral
lesbian sex video of ex-Miss Anambra, Chidinma
Okeke. “From investigation, these guys were the people
who orchestrated the release of the lesbian video
of the former Miss Anambra. “They met their waterloo when they tried the same
trick on another lady who was a former UNIZIK
student but currently an upcoming actress and a
model.

“Their mode of operation is very simple. They open
female Facebook accounts and scout for
unsuspecting young ladies. “These guys will operate the said accounts as
ladies and become very friendly with the said girls.
Inundated with promises of making them become
celebrities and promising to crop out their faces
before posting pictures, these unsuspecting girls
will send nude pictures and shot lesbian videos in return for a particular sum of money (around
100k).

“Immediately they get hold of these videos or
pictures, they will blackmail them into returning
the money or else they publish the video or
pictures.” But when DAILY POST contacted the Enugu State
Police spokesperson, Ebere Armaraizu, he
debunked the claim, saying, “I’m not aware of this.
No, no, no! No arrest of such was made in Enugu.
I’m in the Command and if anything like that
happened, I should know and make it available. “I don’t have such report. “If anything about the incident comes up in the
Command, I will get back to you but for now, I
can’t confirm that the arrest was made in Enugu,”
the spokesperson told DAILY POST.

This was just as the Commissioner of Police, CP in
Anambra, Mr Sam Okaula, also dismissed the
report, saying the command is not aware of any
sex scandal involving the former beauty queen. While noting that the command was yet to receive
any report of such case, Okaula said, “I am not
aware of any arrest of those involved or
blackmailers in the matter. We have not gotten any
report on the matter. “I’m also not aware of the speculation making the
round that some people have been arrested over
the matter in Enugu.” DAILY POST recalls that the much publicized lesbian
sex tape of the crowned winner of Miss Anambra
2015 competition had continued to spark up
controversies for the past three weeks.

Ms Okeke is currently entangled in a lesbian sex
tape scandal, in a video which has since gone viral
on the internet where she was seen having a ‘cozy
time’ with her female sex partner, who
unconfirmed sources simply identified as Ada. The video shows her on a lesbian act with Ada, who is reportedly one of her close friends and
happens to be her personal assistant and also the
3rd runner up at the queen of democracy, 2014. Ada was seen sucking her nipples, while Ms Okeke
handled a tuber of cucumber, which she used
gently to thrust in and out of her private parts.

Finally 'The Blacklist' picks up for the season, this is why I love the it. It's not about action, detonating bombs or saving lives..it opens ones eyes to a lot more. Why sanctions are given, the false stories sold to the public...the real reason behind it. Power play, the 1% ruling the world, the countries behind them, the conspiracies, propaganda and how countries/leaders are brought down when they fail to comply. You can easily relate and connect some episodes with what's happening in reality.

The Hillary Clinton of The Blacklist aka Laura Hutchins is back. Was wondering where she disappeared to. Navabi and her reassignment/transfer drama. Haram gave it to her 2 episodes back and I like it, what's she feeling like anyway? Don't know what her problem is. Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III yesterday said the recession being experienced in the country and other parts of the world is ordained by God. “The only solution to this is for us to show piety and repent. It is ordained by God”, the President General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) said. Sultan Abubakar spoke in Sokoto yesterday as activities for his 10th coronation anniversary commenced with the distribution of items. ýItems worth N9 million were shared out to 270 widows, orphans and other indigent persons at a ceremony organised by the state Zakkat and Endowment Committee.

The monarch also admonished the adherents of Islam and Christianity to live their lives according to the dictates of their Holy Scriptures. The Head of Nigerian Muslims, also urged for more proactive measures to prevent the frequent cases of kidnapping. He called for more beneficial measures to be taken by governments at all levels, to cushion the suffering of Nigerians. Governor Aminu WaziriTambuwal described as unprecedented the 10 years of Sultan Abubakar on the throne, noting that it had been “remarkable and historic.” “He is an epitome of peace, unity and a bridge builder in Nigeria and beyond”, Tambuwal pointed out. Emir of Kano Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II extolled the existing cordial relations between the Kano Emirate and the Sultanate Council of Sokoto.

Sanusi 11 described the Sultan as a father to all Nigerians, both Muslims and non-Muslims. Sokoto State Zakkat and Endowment Committee Chairman, Alhaji Lawal Maidoki, listed the items distributed as 100 bags of rice, 50 grinding machines, 50 sewing machines, 50 freezers and 50 mattresses. A special prayer session presided over by the Sarkin Malaman Sokoto, Sheikh Buhari Sirriddawaý for sustainable peace and unity in the state and Nigeria was conducted at the Sultan Bello Mosque in Sokoto. Also yesterday Niger state Governor Abubakar Sani Bello applauded the Sultan for championing the cause of sustainable peace, security, ethno-religious harmony and peaceful co-existence among people of various faith in his first decade on the throne. In a congratulatory message, Bello said the Sultan had contributed significantly to the unity, peace, progress and development of the country.

”The Sultan’s reign has brought unity and peaceful co- existence and greatly reduced mutual suspicion and tension amongst people from different religious and ethnic divide. He has been able to sustain and enhanced the status of the throne and wielded influence that transcends the country’s borders. “These efforts has earned the Sultan national and international recognition including joint nomination with Cardinal John Onayekan for Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of their peace-building roles.” While acknowledging the role of traditional rulers and religious leaders in nation building, Bello stressed on the need for government to support them by creating the right platform for them to function effectively. “We are proud to celebrate a strategic leader and statesman whose positive attitude, strong will, discipline, self-confident and ability to manage people have been significant factors towards the progress and development of the Sultanate in particular and the country in general. He has clearly combined his military experience with the Sultanate leadership values in the discharge of his responsibilities ”, he said.
