amyblessed:Wise words, Amyblessed. If you have noticed I have not returned his verbal attacks in kind and will not. He displays his calibre of maturity to the world that leaves much to be desired. I have no grouse with him even if his hyperactive imagination has led him to believe I do. Anyway, thanks for the kind words. I appreciate it much. |
True words. The majority of folks who are guilty of this also usually mention changing times and fashion as justification for their immodest appearance to the fellowship of believers. They willfully forget that the Word of God is unchanging, it is eternal. Passage of time can never alter the message in God's Word. Sadly, there are churches or houses of God that have compromised this standard in exchange for increased membership. Nevertheless, true Christians are known by their actions and by the modesty of their dressing because our dressing either glorifies God or glorifies the devil. Thanks for being a reminder of the timeless message of the Word of God. God bless you, Amyblessed. |
I wouldn't say I have gone through all his threads but I did read the posts he made on one or two of his threads. I was really shocked especially when I read in a thread where he was correcting the many mistakes made by the Apostle Paul. In essence, he was taking away from the Bible which God had warned that it should not be done. There are other instances as well which all contributed to the opinion I developed about him. I wouldn't say he isn't zealous for God but I believe it is without knowledge (and I don't say this with any air of possessing greater knowledge because I am and remain teachable). There are things he says that I agree with but they are marred by those false teachings of his. I am not out to criticize him or his teachings but I pointed out something that was out of place. It is up to him to adjust or ignore the danger of his belief. |
frosbel2:Errr....I guess yours is consistent which explains why you blaspheme the name of Jesus daily. |
![]() |
Michellekabod2:He is pained because I opined that his teachings are inconsistent with the Word of God. This has sent him on a revenge mission for his reputation that has suffered a deathly blow by the truth. |
Wow. Truly, I did not expect this kind of response from you and that triples my gladness. Never mind about the rude response. It is all on me as I triggered it in my error. Have a lovely wonderful day, too ![]() |
LordReed:Faith operates in the world because God has given every one of us a measure of faith. |
Michellekabod2:Please take a look at this thread — https://www.nairaland.com/5036017/michellekabod1-apologies |
I may have acted in sincere error. I may have erred and misjudged your excited tone of conversion from atheism to Christ for raw and brazen sarcasm, and thus misfired. I assure you I would never be in the way of what Christ is doing in your life, much less oppose it, especially when you consider the fact that we Christians are working towards the same course — the salvation of souls. As such, I tender my sincere apologies and hope you forgive my attitude. I am really glad to know that your testimony is real, and hope your conviction in Christ remains permanent. |
Seriously, this same Chris Omatsola who released two sextapes of himself and a lady known as Princess...and who was alleged to have subjected her to physical abuse? This same guy is here preaching. I do hope, however, that he has sincerely repented of his ways. |
Jesusjnr, I think I have demeaned myself by responding to you. I will not put up with your absurdity anymore. Feel free to continue your rants. I promise I will never stop you. |
LordReed:That is because God ordained that man should walk in faith. As it is written, the just shall live by faith. Faith doesn't wait to see before it believes but it is the evidence that the unseen is a reality. The question is why faith? Why don't the angels have the benefit of faith while we do? 1. Without faith it is impossible to please God or have any relationship with Him 2. Through faith in Christ we are given the power to become sons and daughters of God 3. By faith we receive and walk in God's righteousness 4. We receive forgiveness of sins and answers to prayers 5. We receive justification by faith and 6. We are saved by faith There are other reasons why faith is important but these should suffice. If you had been created to see God and dwell in His Presence as the angels do then faith no longer applies to you. The Devil had no excuse to sin because he had no tempter. He sinned willfully. He willfully made the choice to rebel knowing the consequences, and also knowing that he would never be forgiven. Faith only applies to you when you are still alive. It ceases to apply to you when you die as there is no repentance in the grave. At that moment, the spiritual world, the angels, the devil, God has become a reality to you which you have come to know through death, rather than through faith. God wants you to make the choice through faith before you actually see the reality itself in death. |
Jesusjnr Trying to make yourself out to be righteous by smearing my name at every opportunity you get will never solve the problem of the inconsistency of your teachings with the Word of God. You have not relented in villifying me because I stated an obvious truth, one that any Christian with sufficient knowledge of the Word of God would detect without help from anyone. The truth of my opinion has become a source of perennial bitterness in you leading to your renewed effort to malign my name by quoting my comments which have absolutely nothing to do with the hocus-pocus you presented as evidence as regards the motive behind my comments. If you invested some of the effort you have expended in traducing me to study the Scriptures diligently you wouldn't find yourself in a desperate need for attention, and approval of your heresies. |
great664:The word 'absolve' connotes the fact that a crime or wrong has been committed. From your argument the crime or wrong that was committed was that God created Satan. According to your train of thought, no Satan no evil. That's wrong. Very wrong even if God did not create the Devil. The Devil fell from his exalted position and from heaven because he CHOSE to sin. This along with one-third of his fallen angels who also CHOSE to sin and rebel. The product of CHOICE is good or evil. Remember I said that God created both good and evil. There would still be evil even if there was no Satan. God allows evil to offer an alternative to the ways of mankind. You say Satan is blamed unfairly for the evil in the world. Who is then to be blamed for Satan's evil? God? If God then you would be insinuating that God was unjust in creating Satan. If God was unjust in creating the Devil then He would be equally unjust in creating the angelic hosts of heaven because while He spares the Devil from making the wrong choice by not creating him He unfairly subjects the angels he creates to the same circumstances that would lead the Devil to make the choice to rebel. No Satan does not mean evil goes into extinction. When God created the garden of Eden and put Man in it He also placed in the garden the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Why? He wanted Adam and Eve to make a choice, to obey Him or to choose to disobey Him. He wouldn't deny Man the right to choose just as He did not deny the angels the right to choose. Evil exists, not because the Devil spreads it, rather, evil exists because we all have to make a choice to follow evil or follow righteousness. Now, the Devil only wants to see to it that we do not make the choice to follow righteousness which is why he intensifies his efforts to deceive mankind in making the choice to follow sin. |
amyblessed: amyblessed:You are welcome ![]() |
Omonken:Wow. That is quite delightful to the ears. May God grant you to stand firm and be rooted in Christ so that you remain unmoved in Him to the end. Amen. |
Great664 I shall begin by stating the fact that God created both light and darkness. He created good and evil. The question is why would He do that knowing the extent of destruction evil would perpetuate on His creation? The answer is simple — God is a JUST God — and He gives everyone the RIGHT to choose what they want to do with their lives. He hates evil but being a just God He lets evil co-exist with good for a period of time. In the end, no one will accuse Him of denying them the right to choose whether to serve Him or not. He knew He must give each one of us a choice to make knowing the choices we would make. He, as the Great Artist, knows the individual purpose He designed for each life on earth, and works to achieve them only in partnership and agreement with us. When the drawing is beautiful it is because we let God use us for what He created us to fulfill. When the drawing is anything but beautiful it is because we have exercised our will to follow the path we want, and God being a just God lets us have our way....to think we know the territory better than the One who created the territory is completely ridiculous. |

Great post. It reminds me of God's unending, caring fatherly love for His children. What father doesn't think about his children, their needs, their desires, their safety, their future? God always occupies His thoughts with our welfare but we have to cooperate with Him to see His plans for us materialize. May God always help us to align with His will for our lives. Thanks for the spiritual digest, Op, and remain blessed. |
dlw09:Nice to meet you and welcome to the forum. I am just curious. Why join this forum? I mean what attracted you to a Nigerian forum? What informed your decision to be a member of the Nigerian online community? I am not, by way of asking you this, insinuating it is uncommon for foreigners to join an international forum. Hope you can share your thoughts. @ABCthings, lolzzz. Your questions no be here o ![]() |
amyblessed:You're welcome but I think your message far outweighs any importance my illustration may achieve in impact. In truth, we drink from each other's cup of insight to our delight but I relish the significance of your posts. Always a pleasure. |
It is like sweeping dirt under the carpet thinking it has been taken care of where the wise thing to do is to dispose of it in the trash bin. We think it is safely hidden under the carpet but dirt cannot remain hidden for long; it inevitably becomes exposed, giving away its unsightly presence and offensive odour. This is an analogy of anyone who tries to hide their sins while masquerading as saint where the wise action they should have taken is ask God for forgiveness and sincerely repent of their errors. The person's so-called carefully hidden tracks of sins are exposed to the sun. God sees all things. Nothing is hidden from Him. Thanks, Amyblessed, for the wonderful write-ups. Each helps me to explore a truth further and rewards me underlying gems of truth just waiting to be discovered. Stay blessed always. |
Anas09:Apparently, doesn't want to be ignored. Will do better. Hope you are gud this lovely Sunday afternoon. |
jesusjnr:Jesusjnr, I had hoped that my deliberate silence in response to your obnoxious statements directed at me would have relayed the message that I have no interest, however minute, in explaining my actions or defending my opinion to you. I am not stopping you from advancing on your crusade of verbal attack but I really am not interested in picking up any gauntlet as this petty aspersions you have cast on me are too negligible for me to sacrifice my precious attention on you. Please, take your crusade somewhere else where it may be of benefit to someone...someone who has attention to spare. |
jesusjnr:hahahahahaha. Mehn, I haven't had a good laugh like this all the years since I joined this forum like I do now. I can't help laughing at a good joke try as much as I can to suppress it. |
JujuSugar:Lolz. How does a passive activity like laughing because of a person's joke translate into an attack on your person? Has your cognitive function embarked on an indefinite suspension or has it suffered permanent dissolution? I know you are at your wit's end because retching invectives is always the next 'logical' step you take. You may wallow in the stink of your lunacy by all means but don't drag me into it. Taking an exit to breathe fresh air. |
opejulie10:It is okay. You just do what you can to pacify his anger. Some good people here have helped you realize where you went wrong. Take steps to make amends even if he pushes you away. In time, his stony heart will give way to your persistence. And you do need to make friends but not for the wrong reasons like relating your marital troubles to them. That could compound your troubles when you least expect. It is not easy to have a friend who you can confide in but your instincts will help you select one from the many. |
Uyi168:That is enh...I'm peeved at the realization that it is now the norm. When a woman unburdens herself about the predicaments she faces in her marriage they blame her for it. They tell her to kneel before her husband and apologise for being a human with feelings, for not ignoring his shortcomings threatening the union, for making efforts to keep her marriage from collapsing. And when the man shares the predicaments in his marriage, they take sides with him and hurl unprintable names at the woman. They go to the extent of calling females who speak in defense of their suffering fellow feminists. Any guy who tries to empathise with her is dubbed a 'patient womaniser'. Warped thinking everywhere. |
ElidaxZiel:hahahahaha. Guy, are you a comedian by nature? Please, ease your pedal on the jokes...biko. ![]()
|
ElidaxZiel:hahahaha. Lolz. I tried really hard to hold it but the bolded got me in stitches. ![]() |
Michellekabod1:Truth hurts but in your case it pricked you so bad to make you bleed vituperations. Your petulant outburst is but a wishy-washy effort to efface the salient deception of your mendacious testimony from observation. You can sulk and cry and pelt stones at me simultaneously however bitter the taste of truth that's your problem. It changes nothing for any perceptive mind that sees through your filmy machination. Likewise, I owe you no apology for deducing your charade and bringing it to light. If you have truly changed then I stand to be corrected, nevertheless, my astute observation remains intact given the parameters of your pretentious announcement of conversion. |
