millionboi: is it the way wike have destroyed the party in favor of Tinubu, for both wike and tinubu selfish interest that is right?something must be wrong with your way of reasoning then.
That is the dynamics of politics playing out realtime. It is your choice to disagree with me.
ALTERNATEID: The entire convention is a joke I swear. Makinde should have respectfully agree to postpone the convention instead of ridiculing himself in this manner. Three PDP governors failed to attend the convention and two of the governors that attended have publicly issued statements dissociating themselves from decisions reached at the convention. What can be more embarrassing?
With the way things are going, only Makinde, Bala Mohammed and fergie001 go remain for that party after this miserable convention
Makinde has greatly demarketed himself politically!
millionboi: but talk true, this gathering pain you and wike well well😂🤣
I’m indifferent actually. I am not a partisan politician. I’m focused on due process which appears lacking in the manner Makinde has handled things. It is quite clear!
When the dust settles Anyanwu will remain the National Secretary of the PDP and Makinde faction will out in the cold. All they did at Ibadan is a nullity. The Courts are bound to rule so in the light of the legal happenings of the recent times.
emilo2bad: Please who is the owner of the internal affairs Is it Makinde/Bala group or Wike/Ortom group or Lamido/ Saraki group
The PDP CONSTITUTION holds the internal affairs of the Party. The Courts will determine whether the internal affairs are conducted in line with its provisions.
etokhana: Goodluck Jonathan supporters throng Convention ground in Ibadan
Is INEC in attendance? That is a critical piece of information that people need to know. If INEC is absent the event is a nullity. Sule Lamido was on air last night as saying that he is not attending maintaining that he has a judgement in his favour stopping the Convention.
Ofunaofu: What about the judgment of the Oyo state high Court?
There is no judgment of any Oyo State High Court on the matter. What you have is an extended ex- parte order of an Oyo State High Court issued by Justice Akintola (I call the extended Order “Akintola Taku!”). Political historians understand that. The extended ex- parte order was designed to cover the period of the intended Convention. However, an ex-parte Order cannot stand in the face of a Judgment and a considered Ruling which are the latest pronouncements in the matter! The law is that the latest Order or Judgment of a court in a matter prevails! Both judicial pronouncements have restrained the PDP from going ahead with the Convention at Ibadan. For that reason you will see that INEC will not attend the Convention! Absence of INEC makes the Convention a nullity.
Ofunaofu: Can you identify the actions taken by the PDP in respect of this elective convention that are not in line with the party constitution?
Please read the Judgment of Justice James Omotosho and the Ruling of Justice Peter Lifu in the matters. You will discover what the PDP has done that are not in line with the party constitution. INEC will not attend the Convention. The Convention is thus a nullity.
simpleseyi: It is an advanced symptom of psychiatric disorders to tell a man how to run his house
You will be well advised to go to Reddit or put up with Nairaland for its nuisance value. All the mods in here are good at doing is to hand out bans! They cannot stand criticism! Great reason why Nairaland is not valued more than it is presently!! Free speech orders the world not the other way around!
Max24: They hate Wike with a passion. You won't see them showing his good side like all the roads he is constructing in Abuja. Even that clown Rufai put mouth dey abuse Wike. The same Rufai who as an ordinary journalist was busy threatening a Lastma official/police after being apprehended for using BRT lane in Lagos. Claiming he was going to call the gov. Imagine if he was in Wikes position would he not be worse. Many of us are hypocrites!
Rufai is not a Journalist. He is, at best, a public commentator who provides comic relief to the public!
I respectfully disagree. That Governor is either playing a G5 script or out to take custody of the skeletons of the PDP so he can give it some muscle to fight political battles going forward and post 2027. Definitely not arrogant!
Ikaeniyan0: Do you want to bet your money on it? let me ask you, if you're in Fubara's position, why won't you go for the convention?
It's at that convention Rivers PDP structure will be handed over to Fubara.
Fubara will get sound legal and political advice. You think Fubara wants another round of political spat with Wike? Can he afford it? I doubt it. Needless to say he won’t attend Ibadan an illegal gathering in view of the Omotoso Judgment and LIFU Ruling restraining orders. A court of co-ordinate jurisdiction cannot sit on appeal over the judgment of an equivalent court. Trite Law and common sense! INEC will not be there. The absence of INEC coupled with the FHC Abuja pronouncements taints and invalidates the Ibadan PDP Convention.
Ofunaofu: There’s nothing the court will do about it. The Supreme Court has already made a judgment that the court has no jurisdiction over how a party runs its affairs.
As I stated earlier, Wike and his geng of asoebi jesters have successfully schemed themselves out of the party with their own hands. If they don’t want to become stranded in the wilderness, where they already are, all they need to do is move to the APC, the party afflicted with stage-four cancer, as Wike himself once described it.
The Supreme Court said internal affairs conducted in line with the Constitution of the Party is not the business of the Court. However, Internal affairs of the Party not conducted according to the Constitution becomes the business of the Courts. The Courts will set them aside. That is one major reason why wise PDP Governors seeking reelection are leaving PDPfor elsewhere. INEC will not go to the Ibadan Convention. INEC will cite the FHC Abuja Judgement that predates The Akintola Taku ex-parte Orders Series One and Two.
Wickedtruths: Go and ask about Ali Modu Sheriff and what he did to PDP.
As at when Wike pushed him out of PDP, Makinde couldn't even win ordinary Rep seat in Oyo.
After the Inter House sports Seyi Makinde is organising for Pdp in Ibadan, the courts will teach him a painful lesson.
Lamido was on Channels TV between 7-8pm last night denying the meeting and insisting on his rights to the Forms in issue. He was clear that he would not be attending the Convention slated for Ibadan in view of the judgment he obtained restraining PDP from holding same unless he had been given a chance to obtain the Chairmanship Form.

Out of the 13 days you have 10 days left Oga if I were you I will seek advice from international colleagues those who believe more in good name than immediate gain that may not last
Note that any decision you take on this matter have an everlasting impart in your life and that of your generation even unborn. You and your children will not live to enjoy that money

jogojogo: I m sure you know you are lying The Bible says Satan is the father of all liars
Lies cannot stand in the face of facts. Visit www.youtube.com on the matter of genocide against Christians in Nigeria. I am sure you cannot respond this way after seeing evidence presented by Rev. Dachomo. I will say no more.
Bonapart: The veil isn't a religion thing but Arabian stuff which they used in covering their faces to prevent dust
The way Islam is - it is a culture! Your name, dressing and all about you becomes Saudi Arabian. In South-West Nigeria for example Muslims no longer, increasingly noted, prostrate to greet an Elder or greet each other except by crouching which is the Hausa/Fulani way of greeting.
You are the one doing the incitement here...it's clear you are bigoted, just by your thoughts pattern, well you can go live in a religious country like Saudi Arabia, Nigeria is a secular country.
You clearly don't know what you are rambling about.
I will advise you to go to my page here and read my comments on this matter. It is better do so before responding to comments of people here. Just be careful. I am not a thirty pieces of silver person!
CyynthiaKiss: Nigerian Christians have demonstrated, calling on Donald Trump To save Nigerian Christians From Islamic Bandits
Yes! Whatever will help us live and let live in Nigeria is welcome!! Truth is, what is playing out is an attempt to bring all Nigeria under Sharia! The meaning of that is everyone must be a Muslim. Is that possible in Nigeria? Nobody has explained what a wanted terrorism suspect was doing in now Vice-President Shettima's house. Did we not sweep that under the rug. Nigeria's Foreign Minister and the government should be asked that question.
