According to Reuters and Bloomberg reports, mediators from Qatar, Pakistan, Egypt and Oman have conveyed a proposal to Tehran to pause hostilities for 10 days.

The goal is to revive the interim memorandum of understanding that collapsed on July 9 [/b]after fighting broke out over control of the [b]Strait of Hormuz.

A senior Iranian official told Reuters the proposal was received on Monday. Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei also confirmed that "ideas from some mediators have been conveyed" to Tehran.

Iran’s Interior Minister, Eskandar Momeni, landed in Islamabad on Monday for talks with Pakistani officials as part of the diplomatic push.

US DEMANDS:
The Trump administration is reportedly demanding a longer pause than 10 days and preconditions on Strait of Hormuz navigation before agreeing to any deal.

CENTCOM says strikes will continue on Iranian `command centers, missile and drone sites, and air defence systems` until ordered otherwise.

BACKGROUND:
- The Strait of Hormuz has been effectively shut since July 9. Only ~10 commercial ships are crossing daily
- Houthis have announced a naval blockade on Saudi Arabia in support of Iran
- Oil prices have remained stable amid signs both sides want to resume diplomacy

If you have lived in Owerri, that area where the prison is situated is the most secure place in Imo state. The prison shares a fence with govt house opposite the prison is DSS office Owerri and besides the DSS office is the police divisional command and armoury. And the road to govt house which is close to the prison gate has a police Armoured personel carrier stationed at the road entrance. With these you will tell me that a rag tag militia called IPOb would confidently go there a stage a jail break and no security forces engaged them? Another case was the burning of idemili north LGA secretariat. Every public building FG and state is heavily guarded by military men at the entrance and exits day and night, but when UGM struck conveniently no soldier was on guard that night. Ariaria market is heavily guarded at.both entrance and exit points but the day UGM showed in that market, no soldier was at their guard posts albeit conveniently.
UGM and.IPOB is a case of gove a dog a bad name to hang it.
