Hello everyone, please does POF have to compulsorily stay in my account for 4 months?

The fund i intend using is a payment from my client which has been delaying for about 3 months (it’s a monthly payment) and they intend to pay all at once in my dom account.

My plan is to apply for visa as soon as it is deposited into my account.



I’m a January intake.

Do you have correspondence with the client that you can prove the delay of payment? Then also proof that the payment ought to have come in monthly? If answer to all above is yes then you can apply. But I will advise after the lump sum deposit has been made, demonstrate the availability of this money by either paying further of part of your tuition or do a GIC. Do a detailed LOE and you will be fine.

I applied for a study visa this August which I got rejected but my proof of funds was enough (29 million naira) from my sponsor (Father), a Tuition Deposit, Investment certificate and other documents and I still got refused. I have applied for the GCMS notes to know why I was Refused. Please does anyone here have an idea of how long it will take for the GCMS to be processed? any other helpful information would be highly appreciated. Thanks....

If your sponsor isn't your spouse and you are working or running a business, then it's important you show significant money in your own personal account. Let it be realistic and don't give the VO doubts how you accumulated such money. So be ready to explain

Hello everyone. Please I have a question that needs urgent answers.

So my sister has admission from New Brunswick Community College, her resumption is suppose to be for Sept 4th. Her Visa just came out yésterday(she applied since April/May), and same yesterday while trying to submit her visa to the school as requested, she found out that her school has cancelled her admission, they said the deadline for submission of student visa has passed. She has sent countless emails explaining the situation of things, as the visa delay was not her fault but the embassy, the school insisted and said thats their final decision, that there is nothing they can do, her admission has been cancelled, and they are saying she should either wait till next year september for the next resumption or request for a refund of her tuition fee. She is very sad about this outcome

Please is there anyone that has experienced this kind of thing or can advice on what she can do for the school to change their stance and grant her admission back.

Unfortunately, there is nothing she can do other than applying for Sept 2024. They will likely give her LOA for fall 2024 as she already has visa. How many years is her program. If she gets her new LOA as discussed here in the past few pages, she should update IRCC so she can travel next year just before her visa expires. That's my own opinion.

Whether he sends part or the full money, the transfer of funds/gift deed is to demonstrate he has made the money available to you. Doesn't change the fact he is your sponsor. And yes he has to attach his statement of acct and all the supporting docs I listed to show the source of the money and how he earned them.

Was actually asking for your dad. So I want to assume he is still in active business. So you will have to include activities of the business and supporting docs in your sop.

Also use the business as a strong economic tie since you are actively in the business. Possibly state how you will come back to take over the business from your dad using the knowledge and skill you will acquire from Canada stating clear plans the expansion/improvements you intend to bring into the business when you return from Canada. I want to assume your program is related to the business. All this should be covered in a well detailed sop with supporting docs and you would of get positive result.

Your dad will be your sponsor. He can have the money transferred to you and do a gift deed to cover it. But you will still add all supporting documents to show the source of the money which will include the business doc, the shopping complex docs, rental agreement, receipt of payment for rent, previous rental receipts and agreement if available, if he is actively in business then add receipts of sales, purchases/invoices, and all docs to show his business, and ofcourse his other assets. All this to show he is a capable sponsor .

@kayceeskay. Before you submit your passport, inform IRCC about your new admission letter via webform and emails, make sure they acknowledge it, tracker visa details will definitely change once they receive your new admission, then submit passport for your visa.
That's the best way to go, don't take chances.
Airline staff in Nigeria or transiting country make not allow you to board with a student visa expiring in less than 30days.

True about the last part. What if he travels 2 or 3 months before resumption date, and gets the study permit extended to the new LOA date at POE? Well, think it's the worst case scenario I was pointing out though I agree updating via webform is important before submission of passport.

The above is suicide He cannot extend his study permit in canada after 30 days of study permit expiry ,he can only restore status after 30 days of expiry, he will have 90 days to do so..though he will have no status to restore ...he cannot apply for study permit @ point of entry unless a United States citizens. By August 2024 he may not be allowed to enter Canada..

Ohk but he isn't entering after 30 days of study permit. Study permit expires August 31st and I told him to travel before then.

I think you are safe with your new LOA from same school for Sept 2024. Travel first week of August 2024, extend your study permit at POE shikina.

Have you confirmed the visa actually expires August 2024? To the best of my knowledge, the program ends August 2024 and they ought to give you extra 2 or 3 months after end of program. Did you check your tracker for expiry date of visa??

Would like to commend everyone that gives solutions here. You guys are the best.

I have some troubling issues about this Canada japa and I hope i will be able to get assistance here.

I applied for my study permit around January and got a refusal, basically the generic refusal. So, I asked the agent I was using to request for my ATIP.

When I got it, this was when I knew there was problem, lol let me list the concerns.

1. PA used his father as sponsor. 3 account only 1 way clear (with modest money)
2. PA did not submit is personal account (agent said it wasn't necessary since my father's account had enough money in it.)
3. Us visa refusal was wont disclosed, so not truthful (Because i travel to UAE, UK and other European countries Agent didn't ask me if I have ever been refused visa, wahala) Was still on vacation in UK last Aug/Sept.
4. Applicant doesn't seem to be a genuine student and not returning after stipulated time.


I deferred my admission to January 2024 at Conestoga college, I had made payment of the 1st year tuition fee (I even over paid, didn't deduct the initial deposit when i wanted to pay the tuition, so I have C$1,500 extra in tuition fee for first year which the college acknowledged)
Got a GIC of C$13,000 for living expenses (All was attached to my initial application) which with the school fees haven't been touched.

For the new POF I want to attach a treasury bill of NG14,000,000 but in my wife's name as she is a staff at CBN and NG10,000,000 in my name which includes 5 million gift deed from my father).

The issues how do I address:

The non-disclosure of us visa (I can get the refusal dates but not the full reason but my reason for applying was for vacations, my younger brother lives there). The las US visa refusal was like 2013.

One last thing, I didn't include I had a master's degree from UK (finished 2011) in my earlier application because Agent advice that it's a red flag since i was going for PGD in Canada. (This one was self-inflicted).

so that's where i stand in a nutshell. I beg i need the guru's advice. I want to reapply ending this month/ latest mid next month.

You have to enter Canada first. Register and enroll as a student with university of Manitoba. Ofcourse that means you must pay their first semester tuition atleast. Then after your first semester you change dli.
Meanwhile, make sure you have secured another admission and hold your new LOA. Once your first semester at university of Manitoba is done, you go to ircc website and change dli.
Don't try to change before you enter Canada. You will have your visa canceled

That's what I booked oo. No going back. But I heard there are specific requirements once you fulfill them then you are fine. Plus they also give your a form to fill just incase you are sent back at POE, you will bear the cost of return flight.

I checked VFS passport submission available date is 25 August.

Just carry your ATM card along to pay. About 9970 or so. Almost 10k sha. They said for every subsequent visa application and submission, you will pay this amount. There is no substitute document apart from your ATM card

I didn't use DHL but heard is about 2500 or so. Not sure.

This one is asking for trouble.
They will just cancel his visa one time. First he must enter Canada, pay school fees and enrol with the first school before he can change dli.

His worry now is how he would be allowed to enter Canada and possibly be allowed by the first school to still enroll for a program that has started since July. That should be his concern. What will he tell them at POE? He shouldn't even bother showing them new LOA at POE. They will send him back immediately
