Themmzyadewale: Good morning guys. Please I want to ask a question. My agent refused to give me my ircc portal login, firstly is there a way I can reset it if I want to change school, cos I heard I need to notify IRcc I am changing schools. PS; I am in Canada aiidy. I just want to know how I can go about my Ircc login or if its possible to open a new one Did he use your email to open it? Did he activate your 2 factor authentication via email? If yes, then he isn't wise because he can't even access the portal without you giving him the codes. Yes you can open a new portal and with your UCI, the new portal will be linked with all your information. However, I am not certain if that applies for change of dli situation. But I belive it should also apply as well. |

Mhenmen: I have been a silent reader... Thanks to everyone that is keeping the thread on...
I got adminsion Into red deer polytechnic Alberta for a 2year diploma program I applied for study permit with my dad as my sponsor. The estimated tution for the full program is 30419cad I paid compulsory tution deposit of 1400cad I summited my personal account showing 20m transferred to me by my sponsor. I deed a gift deed, affidavit and sponsor letter to explain this lump sum and the purpose which is to Carter for my first year tution and living expenses. I also summited my sponsor bank statement showing bal of 48m and I explained in the sponsor letter that he is going to be responsible for the second year tution and living expenses.
I applied for a study permit and got refused on the bases of "your financial situation and asset is insufficient "
I have applied for gcms notes and I'm planning to reapply immidiately it comes
My concerns now is
-How much funds do I need to show that will be sufficient for my new application
-After printing my statement I transferred the 20m out of my account to someone who sent it to my sponsor to make up the 48m he showed in his statement. (That amount was needed by someone that wanted to use his statement also) After printing his statement the 20m was transferred back to me. Can I and my sponsor still use same account for my new application as the dates where the money was moved out from my account and paid back by my sponsor will show in the new statement. Although the sum has stayed in my account for over a month and still counting Will this not be a red flag ? This one na real complicated movement of funds. In your next application, you will just have to demonstrate availability of the money by making a reasonable school expense. The amount showed might not be the issue. The issues are: What supporting docs did you show to explain the last 20m lump sum that entered your sponsor acct? What docs did u show source of his monies? This and many more. Just wait for your gcms notes before you tackle this. |

ijeezlux: Please house this is urgent, i am having some issues paying my tuition fee. So I transferred the naira equivalent to a friend in Canada. But the guy is some how confuse on how to complete the payment. He said if he pays through 'bill payment option' that his details will be what will show on the payment receipt but not my detail, and he doesn't want that to happen cos this might be a problem between me and the school knowing fully well that my name or details are not in the payment receipt. Please what's the best way for him to transfer the money to the school, without causing any issues First he should call the school and get a directive from them on this. I once experienced this and the achool advise we could go ahead with the payment but input the student ID on the narration/Description part and with that, the payment will be credited to the student via the student ID. So I advise you call the school to confirm your next line of action. |

DejiiiiB: Please guys I am planning to reapply, but I’m still using my Uncle as my sponsor.
Tuition Fee: $20,250 per session for a 2years program.
I have Scholarship of $6,500 with a letter as a proof
I was given a discount of $5,000 also, but it only indicate on my Letter of Acceptance.
I already paid $5,110,which is above my initial deposit.
The last application I showed a POF of 20m, but I was denied.
I would appreciate an advice on how much should be in my account for a proof of funds Total Tuition for 2 years 40,500 Deducting the discount, scholarship and tuition deposit, tuition bal = 28,490 Living expenses for 2 years 20,000 Miscellaneous 4,000 Total 52,490 cad If you want the full funds to be in your acct, then you should show pof of about 35m in your acct. However, if you want some to be in your uncle account, then in total, you guys will have to show more than that. I will advise you submit your statement of accy showing atleast 1 year living expenses and miscellaneous cost then your uncle submits his acct showing your tuition balance and a little bit excess. Then you explain in details how he makes his money and how he will cover the full 2nd year expenses with all supporting docs. |

Crystalgirl: Good morning my fellow nairalanders. I got an admission for a PGD supply chain management at Cape Breton University. My brother who lives in the US wants to be my sponsor and his wife who lives in Nigeria, a co-sponsor(she’s the head of our state liaison office) between the 2 of them, the POF is covered. I studied Pharmacology, graduated in 2012, finished Nysc in 2014. I’ve worked in 2 big retail pharmacies and I currently work as a research assistant at a federal government research institute, however I’ve been transitioning into tech. I have google data analytics professional certification, IBM machine learning specialization certificate, advanced python and AWS cloud computing certification. I’m 35years and single. My question is, I only have about 500k + in my salary account, cos I don’t earn so much. Would that be a problem for my SP application? We plan on paying first semester tuition fee. Please your help is urgently needed, thank you. Your personal contribution to your study is not significant (from your statement of having only 500k). Having finished nysc over 9 years ago, ideally you should significantly contribute to your study atkeast living expenses. This also makes using your job as economic ties a weak one. So you will need strong economic and home ties to convince the VO that you will leave Canada immediately after study. Can only your brother sponsor you? And let him demonstrate his ability to do that that transferring a cash gift covered by gift deed as support for your living expenses and also paying the first semester tuition from his acct and write a sponsorship letter pledging to cover the tuition balance. Ensure to provide all supporting docs and convince the VO why he should sponsor you and why he is capable to sponsor you. Prove relationship with him. Finally. Don't be discouraged by your age, just ensure your SOP is tight and buttresses on the economic and home ties that will bring you back home after your study. |

He has dropped the login details with security questions. I heard gcm note can be applied for without his consent . I have the letter of correspondence which he shared with me as well . Hope you convince them why a family friend should sponsor you sha and he should be ready to demonstrate it. Don't put any info of being housed by relative. AOJoy: I have Finance background. I did the first application myself and I got GCMS note for the first refusal for Financial Technology course in 2021
Afterwards, I decided to go to the UK for study. I finished my study in the UK, but I have been an Healthcare Assistant for about 1 year now. So I decided to go for a Continuing Care Assistant program. I explained the reason why I am switching in my SOP. I applied the second time in July 2023. I used about 4 bank statements in pounds with a total of 35,000 pounds balance and 9,000 USD mutual funds balance. That in my calculations was above 60,000 CAD and my school fees is 20,000 CAD.
The second refusal was on Financial reasons so I thought the VO made a mistake because of the multiple bank statements that I submitted. I transferred all my pounds into one account, and reapplied. I also explained the reasons for transferring all the money into one account in the new SOP.
I used an agent for my second and third application. I did not get GCMS notes for the second one.I have attached a copy of the refusal statement.
Please I need recommendations on an immigration lawyer or consultant that can help. It doesn't matter the number of bank statements you used. You obviously missed out on some things could be small details. |

Housings: 1year course Total tuition is $17,400.. 1st semester is $8,560 which I paid $1500 of already, balance of $7000 to be paid by Feb 13 2024 as my course starts in May 2024 by Gods grace.I am thinking a closing statement of 15m should be enough? I am now removing the fact that I’ll be staying with my sister from my LOE as suggested.I am not sponsoring myself..my fathers friend is but I am been discouraged because he isn’t a family member..please what can be done in this situation? Because if he decides to give me the money nd send to my acct wNt it reflect as a lump sum? First you will find it difficult to convince the VO that your father's friend is sponsoring you whether the money is fully sent to you or its in his own account. Either way, you will submit his statement of account and supporting docs to prove source of funds and how he made the money. Tuition bal 15,900 Living expenses 10,000 Miscellaneous 4,000 Total 29,900 You will be needing atleast 20,000,000 BTW 20m to 22m When did you finish school? Are you working or doing business that you are 100% dependent on someone sponsoring you? That's an important question you haven't answered and that will contribute to how strong your economic ties will be to see if it will match your Canada ties let alone being stronger than it |

Queenikotansa: Hi everyone. Please @Justwise and anyone else.
I need advice. I got admitted to Conestoga college for May 2024.
It says the below:
Estimated tuition fee for the first academic year of the program 8 months of study: $20,604.50 CAD Estimated tuition fee for the first semester of the program 4months of study: $10,150.00, CAD Program Length: 2 Academic Year(s) (Periods Of 8 Months)
This letter of acceptance replaces all previous offers issued and will expire unless: A $1,500.00 non-refundable deposit is received by the College on or before: October 15, 2023 The balance of the first semester tuition fees are paid and received by the College by: February 13, 2024 Proof of study permit authorization/approval letter is uploaded to the International Registration Portal Note: If the above payments are not received by the College before the dates listed above, you may not be eligible for the program.
*My question is if i can pay the $1,500.00 non-refundable deposit and be issued the LOA i need for a study permit application and also if yes to this - will the fact that i paid just $1,500.00 be a red flag to the IRCC seeing as the college said to pay the balance of the first semester tuition fees by February* Or if i should just pay the $10,150.00 at once. Though i do not have it complete right now. If 1,500 would do i would rather go for that and make the visa application then get ready to pay the funds when due as the Uni asked.
Please help me based on experience everyone.
I appreciate you all. If you have the 10,150 to pay now then pay once since you will eventually pay it later and possibly even at a higher rate. However, you can go ahead and pay the 1500 cad first and apply for visa. With a good SOP and detailed pof explanation with supporting documents, you can still have a successful visa application. |

Housings: Good evening guys I want to start my visa application process myself.I am booking my medicals as I want to do uprfront medicals I want to go ahead and apply for my visa with my sister as my sponsor with a closing balance of 10million naira,I also have an offer of residency throughout my stay in canada from my elder sister which she will be writing a letter towards that notion asides this there’s no other pof no landed properties or anything. Please I want to know what are the possibilities of getting my visa. My course is a 1year course starting in May anyways…I want to know what you guys think please.I just started my letter of explanation but I am having a problem explaining family ties..how do I prove this?
Please what documents does my sisters sponsoring with pof need to submit asides bank statement and what about my sister sponsoring accommodation? In everything you do, make sure you don't tell them you plan or hope to stay with your sister hence not showing complete funds for living expenses. That's refusal straight. This isn't straightforward as you are just stating it. First, we don't have details of your tuition and deposit made to calculate if the 10m will be enough. Secondly, are you employed or self employed? When did you finish school? Thirdly, if the answer to above is yes, then you will have to show your atleast living expenses in your personal account. So provide answers to these questions and you might get better help before proceeding with suitable home and economic ties which have to be stronger than your already existing Canada ties |
