Aghoghomena: Good evening my people,
I am writing to get some clarification over my application please. As at when I submitted my application, my POF was #13,500,000 and that was in the month of May. However, this excludes the first semester tuition fee of 9k CAD payment that I already made before requesting for my POF. So, I'm trying to know if this POF is still good considering the sudden change in the Naira rate?
Secondly, I'm trying to know if one's mother's age in second application is different from the one in First application on the Family Information Form, does that pose any serious issue pls?
Please, Professionals in the house, kindly respond to me.
Many thanks in advance. Tuition bal 9,000 Living expenses and miscellaneous 14,000 Total = 23k. In naira = 13.6 million. So it wudnt be enough. |

Note: You need to prove the sources of the millions in your account if the money is proceed from your income or sales of property.
With all these you are good to move!!!! Sales of property for visit visa? |

moruff77: Hello guys, Abeg I need some gurus in d house to help me answer dis my questions, I got my visa approved for pgd program in a particularly sch. I later discovered dat d sch does not hve a Pgwp. Now I have applied 2 another uni which has a Pgwp 4 d same Sept admission which I intend 2go. My question do I need to inform d embassy of d change in plans or do I need to travel n get 2 d point of entry to disclose it 2 d entry officer or should I not disclose at all n just go to d new university...I need response. You have to enter Canada first, enroll as a student in the first school then you go to irrc portal by uploading loa, and other evidence of the former school as well as loa of the new school. That's the official way you update ircc. Note: you must do all this when you are in Canada if not ircc will cancel your visa. And if you don't enroll as a student with the first school, they could report you to immigration which you could face deportation. |

I know this is student visa thread but I believe there are more gurus here. Please is 11 million a good amount for a visitor visa application for me and my wife? Thanks for your response. Is it a tourist visa or visit visa with invite letter from someone? If it's the first, it might not ne enough depending on the other economic and home ties you stated but if it's visit visa with letter of invite then it is enough |

Start building your pof, you ought to have been building the pof before now anyway then start gathering all supporting docs which the sop ought to guide you on supporting docs to attach. Remember, a solid sop is key. So if u cany write it, you can get a help. |

Were you self sponsor? Or had a cosponsor? What's Total cost of your tuition and program duration? So we can help work out total funds needed and total funds you had. Then other supporting docs you submitted. Then possible one can review the sop you submitted to spot out the possible missing gaps and address it. If you aren't resuming this September, you can wait for your gcms notes to arrive before reapplying |

oloyemeji: I have recently received admission into a two-year Ontario College Diploma program at Sheridan college, which has led me to question the relative value of my existing qualification, an HND (Higher National Diploma), compared to a diploma. This discrepancy has raised some concerns for me. In order to create a strong and persuasive Statement of Purpose (SOP), do I stand a better chance considering the fact that I have HND. Furthermore, considering my six years of professional experience in a related field, I would like to gain a comprehensive understanding of the subsequent stages that will follow after my admission. You can get help with the sop. Ppl with bachelor degree have successfully applied for post secondary diploma and got their visa approved. The SOP is key. |

Adexchelsea19: The first denial was just bcs of assets and financial reason. Then we thought it was bcs of the pof cuz I submitted with the old exchange rate. So I added to it with some documents and submitted again. Then this When does your school resume? Can I see your sop? Something is wrong, it's not just about having the pof sometimes. |

Adexchelsea19: Good evening everyone Please my second application just got refused under one week. First application refusal was as a result of the sudden increase in exchange rate. I added more funds and reapplied within a week, but unfortunately I was refused again under a week. Now my problem is the POF, because I actually run it, and the one month will soon expire nd I need to return the money. Please I need advice on what to do because I plan to apply again after some time, but my main issue now is how to go about this POF. Please I will need your advice on this.
@bobomaigida You were denied for 2 reasons. So it's not just pof. When does your school resume? If its not September then I advise you apply for your cbsc notes and this time get help with the sop. |

Iamvictorious: Hi Nairaland family, please i need a little help on how to go about this. I'm applying for study visa and I want to apply as self sponsor with my dad as Co sponsor. Below are the important details
Its a 2years program and I have paid tuition for 1 semester.
I have 14m which was gifted to me by my dad over the course of 4 months in installment. The money is over 4months and not been touched. The little asset I have are 2 pieces of lands (one in Lagos and one in Abuja), my work and the small business I manage (I have CAC Doc and receipts of sales) plus my family is staying back in Naija for now (home ties).
My dad currently does not have much cash in his account because he is building a house so there is no money from his end to use as proof of fund. But his assets are a thriving hotel business, his personal home, rental apartments with tenants and lots of lands.
My question is, can I go ahead and apply for Visa and use my dad as a Co sponsor and submit documents of his assets? And also his pay slips (he has a very good job).
While I apply as the sponsor?
Or I should use my dad as sponsor?
My assets are not enough hence my thinking of adding my father.
Please gurus in the house, advice.
My start up is September this year.
I'm desperate for answers please.
Thank you 🙏 From what you said, the only available funds are the 14m in your acct. Work out your pof. Tuition for 2 years. Living expenses and miscellaneous. Then you will know the difference. From this above, your 14m will certainly not be enough. So except you want to take your chances and show evidence of funds covering just one year tuition and 1 yr leaving expenses then allow your sop show possibly how your father being your sponsor can guarantee funds using rental income etc. That would be what the sop will do for you. So you need a strong one. Apart from that, your 14m wouldn't be enough. As for your asset and economic ties, do you work or own a business? What docs do you have to support it. |

AbSapi: My application was refused yesterday. Second time applicant. 5m+ in personal account brother is my sponsor with 30m+ as sponsor. Sept Intake... Pls is it possible to refire or seek for fairness On what ground do you want to possibly seek for fairness? You would have to probably get your gcms notes before you seek for fairness. You don't have luxury of time. After your first rejection, did you order your gcms notes and what did you do differently before you reapplied. Also can you list out the docs you submitted as supporting doc for your sponsor. Finally, you can list out your tuition and program duration so your pof can be worked out. Then get help with the sop. |

I got Admission for PGD for Hospitality Management with SELKIRK college since February, deadline for payment was April, due to delay from GTB (Form A wahala) that payment was not made. GTB bank refund my money after 5 months of wait. i contact if January intake is still available for me which was confirmed. i eventually paid the fees using Black Market. After confirming payment, i was told only May 2024 is available, This is really not fair and I'm not happy about this.
Exchange rate is not friendly here in Nigeria
Waiting extra 10 month's!!!
Exchange rate of Naira to CAD might be too high for me
Exchange rate will depreciate my proof of funds
It will devalue what I have as pof.

MercyF: Just used my dads account and it’s a microfinance bank with 30m in it..my dad is my sponsor..the 30m is not a lump sum My course is 2yrs About 18000cad per year The reason is clear. Microfinance bank. Huge red flag. VO will have concerns of the money being available for your study. So move the funds to a conventional bank and attach statements of acct, letter of explanation explaining the transfer. Obviously you will need to rework the cost of pof due to the new rate. |

And plan to get it back 7to 8 weeks If you submit yourself, you should get it back maximum 2 weeks. |

My father is late and his twin brother my uncle wants to sponsor me for my 1 year PGC and he is willing to pay my 1year full tuition and transfer 10k cad for my living expenses into my Dom account. My problem is that aside my mum and siblings, I don’t have any landed property document to my name as ties and I don’t know if adding uncle property documents will make any sense
PLEASE HELP ME. You will definitely have to add your uncle property docs and assets explaining his source of income. Paying your tuition and sending the living expenses will make so much sense. For your economic ties. What do you have to show? Are you working or doing business? Your sop will have to be key |

Christyiji: I have another land and my husband is not traveller's with me.
I wish I can upload my documents here . Do you have a business or active business you are currently doing and how did you manage to prove in your sop that it's of great economical worth and value that will assure your return to the country and also justify having to spend all these resources on your education. From what you said so far, there hasn't been much economical ties especially seeing the huge support coming from 3rd parties(uncle) and you having to liquidate your investments for your study. Just as someone asked you, what are you coming back to after the studies. Can't just be land |

Christyiji: Second application denied again..
Yesterday was the 6th week of my application yet eligibility was still not started, I had to send them a mail. After sending the mail, not up to 3 hours, I received a mail from them directing me to my portal, I rushed to it and saw correspondence and I opened it only to see that my study permit was denied.
Tuition fee is 43,000, paid 4,000cad deposit and I had 72,000cad which is 22,500,000 as POF.
10m from investment and I attached every document for it, 7,500,000 gift deed from my uncle, I attached gift deed and the transfer slip and proof of relationship. 5m from sale of my land and I attached every document to substrate this...
At this point, I do not know what exactly, VO is looking for to warrant him/her to deny me study permit.
I did justice to my application
Is it that the VO after seeing my mail, angrily decided to punish me First sorry for the refusal. How did you come about 22,500,000 to be 72,000cad even using the old rate. 7.5m is a very significant sum for your uncle to gift you. You might have to also add supporting documents to prove his source of income. What and what did you do to prove relationship with your uncle? The investment, what kind of investment is it? Are the funds easily accessible? How did you package and present your sop because trust me, that's key especially in cases where you are bringing in different sources of incomes and supports from 3rd parties. Lastly, if you are to resume September, best bet now is to just defer to next session, order your gcms notes before you refire again. Work on the sop very well. Unfortunately pof you will be requiring now has even almost doubled in value. Goodluck |
