Hey there.
Been away.  .  .just saw your recent posts about your quest for a new thread.

First, Real Madrid did not just come into existence.  .  .the club has got a history before the arrival of Kaka, Ronaldo et.al.

Second, where the heck have you been to keep the banner flying? All of a sudden Ronny boi is here and you want a new thread, new post, new jersey, new fans, new stadium.  .  .come on.

Third, Real Madrid fans on NL let the thread die, not the title of the thread, not the first post on the thread. I mean, how many times have I had to lock the United, Chelsea and Arsenal threads 'cos they got to a hundred pages? Yet fans still pour in and the thread pages keep running faster than Theo Walcott with polio.  .  .with nothing more than ''hey guys, welcome to a new thread'' as the first post! Go check.

Fourth.  .  .keep posting, let the thread get to a hundred pages and IF you are online when it does, I could ask you to do the new thread. If not, someone else will, and whatever he/she puts in the first post will stay there(unless modified, of course), and if you are a true fan you will keep posting on the thread.

Now can this issue be put to rest already? Thanks in advance.

I hadn't been active in the sports section till recent (and would likely move on soon enough). My trying to create the real Madrid thread was simply to help attract attention and get more people active on the board.
I am not a recent Madrid fan, and am less bothered even if they don't win anything (as I don't get money when they do). I simply do it just for the fun of it. Compared to NL sports section, I spend more time on dedicated football forums, and Madrd fan forums.

I actually didn't know there was an existing madrid thread before trying to create one, and the unorganized directory did not help matters (I read as far as Enyimba and simply gave up looking). Sorting the list by leagues, purpose or alphabetically, would help.

There were recent happening in the club, and there were no discussion on the thread. IMO, if a thread is not serving its purpose, you should let it die and let another one replace it (and not necessarily wait for the 100 pages limit). There is no point in calling it a top priority thread if most don't know of its existence. The other alternative is to sticky the threads (but that would take up most of the first page). 

I felt the OP didn't do enough to attract attention to the thread. The thread title is like a newspaper headline, if it is not attractive enough, you don't read the article.
If one creates a thread, I feel it behooves you to make an effort to keep it alive, at least till the thread reaches critical mass, particularly since each club is restricted to one thread.

Anyways, segunpc seems active again, has edited the OP, and hopefully will stick around for a while for others to join, which should not take long with all the recent signings and the soon to follow fair weather fans.

Two things in your post I will address.  .  .

One, the directory is not entirely unorganized. If you'll notice, I kinda grouped the topics, put those that relate to each other together. If you didn't have enough patience to keep going past the Enyimba thread, then you need to up your concentration/perseverance level.
Arranging those things alphabetically would take time I don't presently have, but I'll take that suggestion into consideration and see if I can effect it.

Two, a thread living or dying doesn't depend entirely on the first poster. It's not just a Ronaldo versus Messi type of thread, it's a CLUB thread. The fans are collectively responsible for the survival of the thread, not just the first poster so please quit blaming the guy.
Letting a slow thread die and then recreating the exact same thread.  .  .what exactly is the difference? Get the slow thread up and make it lively, is my opinion. Post stuff on it, put pictures, fight. Just kidding there,lol.
People were not aware the thread existed 'cos you fans failed to keep it alive. I put the link in the directory to let people know of it's existence, so kindly develop some patience to go through the whole directory next time, afterall I was patient enough to copy every link and put them in one single post. I went back as far as 30 pages of the board.  .  .if I could do that, you should at least try to go through it.

As per sorting the directory, instead of alphabetical sorting, you could try subgrouping with bold headers e.g

Liverpool
Barcelona

2. Player Debate
Berbatov vs Ibrahimovic

Nice job with the directory. Adding a mod feedback/complaints thread would help with the communication.

  You did not showed the real matches, well those matches you indicated are going to be confirmed 4-6 ponits home/away for Madrid, the weird team is what i will need you to watch out,  and am going to rule them out so you can note them right from now,

Someone mention the selling of drenthe,  i doubt it, we only need 5 to quit, and i am thinking Huntelaar should be out by weekend, van der vaart , Nistelroy, and drenthe/robben. I will prefer keeping robben for a purpose, because he can still come back and be fit. although he is not as good right now, we want to make sure we have the right wingers, if ribery will come in then let robben leave but without that i think robben will still have a role to play.

My problem is how higuiain will have a chance of improving coz i want to see him playing and pellegrini will prefer raul benzema upfront or partner up raul ronaldo/in any case of injury,,, dat coach like experience too much.

Now look at those matches they will be tough,  I feel like the first 6 weeks they want to weak my boys, its stupid to see such a selection like what i'm looking at on the screen,  Its just a way of giving my opponents time to move up with points incase i slip up this is why the coach said he want 2 player for each space on the pitch.

But mid season will determine sha, dats what i can say regarding the fixture,  we are winning 6 points from Barca next season i have no doubt, they outshined last season and am happy for them. the game need good challenge, it will not bother me if they are not in the top3 next season, they are gonna get weak. quote me barca fans.
