Because one is more dangerious than the others, i have seen a situation where girlfriend forced the boy into marriage due to pregnancy only to find out 12years later that he is not the father of the baby, i have also witnessed a situation where 3 of the five children thus not belong to the father after 18year of marriage. If it was the boy that cheated we can't have this kind of situation, the worst case is that the guy will marry the other girl and not his real girlfriend and this will only cause short time pain not everlasting sorrow.

Cheating is bad! Be it a man or a woman! I see no reason to excuse anyone.

eldoradoxx: Its an eye opener to ladies, why stay for 6 long years in a relationship doing exactly what? Long relationship is not often good as it tends to open room for various temptations. @ Op, I guess that is where the journey ends, so move on with a resolve never to cheat again. I don't want to sound as male chauvinist but I believe that a male cheat is somehow more tolerable than a female cheat. Let's use the framework of family for example, if a thing goes wrong with the husband of the home, the woman can stil manage to raise the family, but when the problem is the woman, then the family is finished! What kind of sons and daughter will a female cheat raise? God created women and put in them the seed for perpetuation of human race, the molding of future generation of mankind, if the female fail in this task, then humanity will be endangered; that is why nature itself abhors a married woman who cheats, in some communities if a proper traditional marriage ri :Pte is performed and afterwards the woman cheats, she might likely be struck with strange illness or go mad, in my own place in Delta state, its the entire family that will fall sick in a manner to generate suspicion of infidelity by d woman while the she will be healthy.
