am not sure u can u ur bis data as hotspot u might need to subcribe to d normal data plan. By the way os 7.1 will automatically enable hotspot on ur bold5 cheers

That's d problem, I tot os 7.1 shud but it keeps telling me activation required each time I try to start it.
Plz can somebody help me repost d GLO APN settings being used to browse on other fones. Maybe I will give that a try and see if it works. Thanks a lot.

Whats happen on my own end here? having done all the setting as explained by Luluosas below is the error message i receive each time i try to connect on my mtn fastlink modem.

"Error 628: The connection was terminated by the remote computer before it could be completed"

What could be the cause?

Let me do a brief calculations for you.
One week plan = N400
One week volume = 700MB
Now, when you multiply your 3 times subscription, it will give you a total of 2.1GB data volume at N1,200.
Therefore, should have gone for one month Somonth plan, you will still spend N1,200 but, you would have gotten 3GB data volume. That is why is better if you can subscribe to a month plan. Thank you.

lol....whn I wanted to brag here that I got 250kbps in ibadan u are talking about 800kbps.
I had to drive out of my house in search of 3G+ in ibadan so just in case you looking for same in ibadan I can direct u.
I exhausted my coweek just today and am loving it. updated my phone to a custom 4.1.2 latest android. I couldn't ask for more.

Mine does not break but, the signal strength is very low thereby rendering my connections almost useless. Location is Yola with EDGE, as there is no Glo 3G service here for now.

A lot of Glo Blackberry users (not those using BB plans outside BB phones) were complaining yesterday about the text messages they were receiving, even when their BB subscription was still active. See the attached image.
