The continued usage of BBC Hausa service by bokoharam as a conduit for information transmission has aroused me Curiosity. Why don't we have the BBC service in Yoruba,or Igbo language. Or is there an agreement between the north and UK authority? What is the rationale behind this move and what does it take to spread same across the three ethnic group?

Because many Igbos and Yorubas understands spoken English and apart from the Nigerian territory or small portion within the Benin Republic, there are no other place you can find the Igbos and Yorubas speakers or audience. Unlike Hausa language spoken in over 10 countries or more.
Its simple economics and market audience.

Because Hausa is more widely spoken in Western Africa and indeed Africa second only to Swahili.

Truth is the British has never favored the Igbos, and maybe the yorubas. The Hausa guys seem to be their lap dog.

Because our colonial masters trusted the savages called Hausas and handed the reins of power to them while regarding other tribes (especially Igbos) as rebels because they knew we wouldn't be subservient to them.

Even when on the two occasions the queen visited Nigeria, she only went to the north. Now they are learning the hard way.
