It is a tax haven, so many will set up factories there using foreign materials, foreign labour, and exported to foreign countries. Much of that $200bn will not have anything to do with Nigeria, but even if Nigeria gets a small fraction of it, it will be a great success. Kudos to the planners and to Gov Fashola.

If it were true it would mean that only Lekki Port is Worth half of Nigeria (11 figures) so if you join the whole of Lagos the Eko politicians are telling us that Lagos is richer than the whole of Nigeria and producing more money than all the oil producing states(which Lagos is not one of) combined. LA port alone moves goods worth over $236 billion a year and generates over $400 billion in annual revenue..


$200 Billion or not, this is very irrelevant, fact remains that this is set to be the largest and the most sophisticated port in west Africa. This is going to be the go to and the premier port serving all the west African coast.

The huge revenue numbers for now is irrelevant, it's all about the immense economic potential for all involved.

I do not care about whatever calculation they have before them, the world's largest ports do not bring in $1billion annually, let alone $200 billion even if it was over a concession period of time. So please, drop that silly line of argument of "calculation based upon volume of trade entering and living Nigeria" bullshitt.
