I desire and pray that a time will come that I will be rich enough to donate 1 billion naira to the good work of God's kingdom. Only those who are blessed to that extent can do such.

It is crudely negative for anyone to think that you are corrupt because you have money and that if you have money then you must be corrupt.

These set of journalists goofed very badly!

I don't get it.
One thing people of shallow minds still fail to know or understand is that it takes nothing to become billionaire if you know the secret.....GIVING, and most especially to the works of God.

Fraud !!

"These people always cause trouble. Their minds are corrupt, and they have turned their backs on the truth. To them, a show of godliness is just a way to become wealthy." - 1 Timothy 6:5

God is still a consuming fire.

N/B prayer don't answer to money, its giving that does. That's the principle.

ifihearam: I wonder how some of you think here,so if the man of God raised money for the expansion of the ministry how is that "cajole" he made the call and its not by force,if you have and dont want to give nobody puts a gun on your face. The good thing here is that they will realise more than a billion because he is a sent man of God and those who contribute would get their rewards also because its a law of giving.

@op i think the topic is misleading, under fire how by that common adeniran or who?
may be he should raise money to buy arms and ammunitions.

bookface:

Without doubt, Poverty reigns supreme in Nigeria because the average Nigerian believe more in "sowing" onto the "Man of God" and less in hardwork! LoL!

The "sow" concept is nothing other than a well packaged, modern day Christianity get rich scheme! Here is news for you, you lazy m0rons, if you don't work hard, you ain't gonna get sh*t!

Dangote, Gates, Oprah Winfery, etc, all had one thing in common, they worked hard for their bucks. You should too, you m0ron!

There is a place of sowing hardwork and there is a place for sowing financials. Ask Dangote, Gates and Oprah if they dont engage in giving finances to the cause they believe in. Hardwork, alone, cannot deliver to your hand the blessings that God has in store for you. You sow, not because a pastor says you should do, but as a person that believe in a cause which you want to see flourish.

Any deep-thinking person rather than sit and criticise, if he truly wants to give will simply pray to God to channel such funds through him. Unconsciously, without even praying for financial increase, he has already made a selfless request to God.

Why did I say this? There was a time an urgent obvious need running to hundreds of thousands on Naira arose where I worship and because all my funds had been earmarked and I was not expecting another, I prayed that I would supply any unexpected funds that I am blessed with that week. I must confess I knew I was not expecting anything extra but I prayed all the same and forgot about it.
Surprisingly about four days after, I received some funds unexpectedly to which by the time I had deducted the tithe, was the exact amount requested for. I did not ever think I would be getting such funds at that time.
I was dumbfounded and because of the vow, I could not even remove anything from it but gave all. It was at that point I realised that it is lack of knowledge that makes us take offense at such requests that we need not get worked up over. Faith was all that was required. I also learnt something profound that day. Make yourself available to God and He will use you!

The biggest problem of this country is RELIGION ... Churches and Mosques, pastors and imams do not bother about the word of God anymore ... Just success, riches, wealth and life (vanity).. If churches and Mosques can talk more about the evils and punishments, good deeds and rewards in this country .. People will be more careful and less desperate ..there are more churches and mosques in this country than the in the countries were the missionaries that brought the religion came from ... 99% of Pastors and Imams are doing for the money and fame .. How many people God dey follow talk sef You have all turned pastors and imams to Occupation .. For God sake prophet muhammed had a job, am sure Jesus christ too has a job .. Nigeria is too funny

frosbel: Can Adeboye ensure that there is not ONE needy person among his church members before he embarks on this multi-billion naira project to build a 3-km Long Church Auditorium.

This is madness, building more and more edifices while our people are almost dying of hunger, a classical case of taking money from the needy and using it to build babels to the glory of MAN. Reminds me of India who are investing in more weapons of mass destruction when 60% of their people starve, talk of misplaced priorities.

Do not give a penny to this project , pay your rent, bills , feed your children and then give to the poor and needy around you. Go to the Lord in prayer before you donate a penny, I am sure there are worthier causes all around us.

People, it is time you follow JESUS and stop enriching MEN and their dreams. You do not need to go to a specific place to find Jesus, if we have the Spirit , he is always present for he has said " I will never leave you or forsake you ".

Free yourselves from MEN, follow JESUS, on judgement day Adeboye will not save you or stand in for you, on judgement day RCCG will not save you, now is the time to do the right thing and go back to new testament Christianity.

Good saying bro, but u need to know more

OK,REALLY WITH ALL THE RELIGION AND CHRISTIANITY ALL AROUND NIGERIA,ARE WE FEELING ANY POSITIVE IMPACT IN OUR LIVES AS NIGERIANS? THE CHURCH SHOULD NOT LOOSE FOCUS,IF A PATH HAS BEEN TOWED FOR SO LONG WITH LITTLE EFFECT,A STRATEGIC CHANGE SHOULD BE EFFECTED,THE CHURCH SHOULD FOCUS ON GETTING THE YOUNG ONES TO KNOW GOD,THEY ARE THE FUTURE,THEN PONDERING MORE WAYS TO GET MORE NIGERIANS TO KNOW GOD MORE,AS BIG AS THE CURRENT FACILITY IS I BELIEVE MAKING IT BIGGER WONT CHANGE THINGS IN THIS COUNTRY MORE.IN THE END THE GROWING DECAY WILL EVENTUALLY DESTROY ALL THESE FACILITIES,IF GODS WORD IS NOT STRONGLY ESTABLISHED,RCCG SHOULD STOP THIS EGOLISTIC SHOW OF DERAILED FOCUS.

Samtolly4JESUS: Now tell me why you're angry...

Is it because the Church of God is expanding?

Or because God has blessed some of His Children so much that they can bountifully sow in the His work?

Or because you're not one of those that is giving the 1 Billion?

Or because The Man of God is Esteemed all over the World?

Or because you wish to be in such a position?

If you're not ready to be a pillar of progress then, don't be a caterpillar that pulls down progress.

Little wonder a whole Nation envied Isaac when God blessed Him! What was Isaac's secret? He simply Sowed!..

If you're not ready to Sow, then don't be sour about those who are willing.

Remember, Our God is a Consuming fire...

He who has an Ear, let him hear what the Spirit says.........

God Bless you all.

idnoble135: I expect people to quote me but i seriously dont care! And this is my personal opinion.
Its not a surprise that many eyebrows are being raised over this. I think it would be abnormal if he(Pastor Adeboye) did not expect
this kind of reaction.
The rant on social and mass media can go on but i have the feeling that it would not stop the building.
He did not compel people to give. If he wants to expand the church, how is it your business? If you would not give, that would not stop anything being done.
I am not a redeemed member. But my concern is why everything about any church attracts this kind of attention. Knowing that the church fund is comprised of what is given by members. The figure spent by a political party for the last convention is way bigger than this and no one batted an eyelid. I think without the church, some media corporations and blog would die down.
So, every one can shout and rant as much as they want to, everyone would keep quiet when they are tired. Its a matter of next year before the church would be dedicated.
Finally, i know if most of you were alive, you would have equally blasted Solomon for spending a great deal of gold, silver, precious stones, cedar etc building a temple that took a whooping seven years to build because of its complex architectural design. You would have organized protest calling it a waste. Maybe you would have insulted him on facebook, twitter, nairaland, you name it... But God was pleased with Solomon and appeared to him right after the dedication. And there were still poor people in the land. Even Jesus said, "The poor you will always
have with you, but you will
not always have me". Mathew 26:11. Letting us know that helping the poor is important but not as kingdom and its expansion.
If this is not of God, be rest assured that it would fail. But, if this be of God, one million devils and one million Boko haram can not stop it. Acts 5:38-39.
I rest my case.
You have my blessings.

2) Surprisingly It̶̲̥̅̊ did nt come up all thru d̶̲̥̅̊ year but even as a worshipper ℓ̊ was concerned wen ℓ̊ got 2 d̶̲̥̅̊ campground on wed( ℓ̊ was dere till sat) and saw D̶̲̥̅̊α† d̶̲̥̅̊ auditorium was

reduce stampede which ℓ̊ knew wld ave little or no effect.

3) On friday as earlier predicted worshippers overflowed d̶̲̥̅̊ site and people were forced 2 SEAT on d̶̲̥̅̊ road ALL THRU d̶̲̥̅̊. 9t€!!! It̶̲̥̅̊ got so bad D̶̲̥̅̊α† people in d̶̲̥̅̊ auditorium of which ℓ̊ was 1 could nt go out after d̶̲̥̅̊ service ended as d̶̲̥̅̊ road was full of people with little. Space 2 breathe

4)Bsides d̶̲̥̅̊ auditorium Ȋ̝̊̅§ nt about d̶̲̥̅̊ architectural edifice but. Accomodating d̶̲̥̅̊ crowd. pls in U̶̲̥̅̊я wildest imaginations picture a 3/3kilometers and ask urself ♓☺ω much It̶̲̥̅̊ will gulp
