Anuoluwap: All I want is a Nairaland 'Private Message' button feature. The email notification doesn't work at times and besides nairaland is suppose to be more interactive than to start going to check ones mail box before contacting ones pals. Pls, kindly look into this.

That one na big job... wait make adverts come back, make Nairaland gather small money to buy at least ten blade servers... maybe for rackspace.com Abi for Ghana cos it can never be naija... then him fit include private mailbox

Larryfly: buh that mod guy should have waited for the owner of NL to reply the demands firsr before he started generating tension and over heating the polity with impunity by his comments........some ppl are just born busy bodies

This is exactly where the problem started. I'm particularly not bothered about the requests, but if those power drunk mods had responded like human beings with common sense, it wouldn't have turned into this mess in the first place. Ordinary mods *let me borrow seun's line* feeling like site owner busybodying and polluting the atmosphere with their immature rants and unnecessary name calling.

Nice come back seun, I read in between the lines...they sure need to be exposed to sensitivity training.

What do expect and who should you blame? He or sexkillz?
At most international forums, I don't even know the mods, because they rarely make comments.

DailyNews: Thoughtful of you @Seun.

One more thing: why are u so interested in keeping people's thread @Afam4eva pls when they owe absolute right to their posts/threads

So long as they didn't sell their write-ups otherwise known as: threads or posts, they still have absolute right to it and should have the right to decide whether to keep it or delete it because if any aggrieved member take a legal action if you withold his/her threads/posts when he deactivates his/her account, he will definitely win, so let it go to avoid regrets in future!

By the way, Seun's forum isn't thrieving by Google Adsense to say he would lose rank or clicks or revenue.

So I suggest he allows anyone that wants to deactivate his account to go with his/her threads and posts as well.

Soldier go soldier come, barrack will remain. So he shouldn't be afraid, with the right work, nairaland won't die...whether people leave or not, there will always be new registrants.

In order words, Seun don't implement what Afam4eva has just said to avoid people taking legal actions against u in future.

If u want to discourage ppl from opening unnecessary multiple accounts, then let their IP address be shown publicly on their profiles.

That's my opinion. Let it gosmiley

Sense.... instead of deleting a profile.... why not kukuma merge with the new one?

Seun, you say these people don't represent you...but they kinda do. Especially because we interact with them directly on a regular basis. Much more often than we interact with you.

I remember one MOD in religion section that was removed by Seun (his name starts with M) just cuz a fellow mod pushed him to the wall (and hid his comment) after making a threat. I wonder why Seun is treating this controversial MODs' case with kid-glove. Many have complained about him (though, I have a feeling he is a good guy, maybe the task is too demanding and perhaps he is bn misunderstood) but while reading his comments today I'm forces to compare his crime against that of the former MOD of religion section whose name starts with 'M' and I feel Seun is bn partial.

I sincerely think this should go down, as memorylane, Seun listen to forum users / implementing wat they hv requested for, it is a good one, if we the user know we hv a stake here on Nairaland, we will seek to protect it, come rain, winter, sun, watever.
