1. Failure to pay tithes on ground that it was meant for old testament generation.
2. Claiming that once saved always saved so indulgence in sins after salvation is inconsequential.
3. Gospel of healing and prosperity as sole reason for being a Christian forgetting that the only reason for Christ's coming was to bring us back to God. Any other benefits such as healing, wealth are secondary.

1. Touch not my annointed - Immuminty of pastors from criticism.

2. Shall man rob God - Old testamnet law on tithing still being exploited by Pastors today.

3. Widows mite - Pastors use this to solicit more money from People who don't even have.

4. Seed faith offfering - There is no recollection of Jesus asking for such. But these pastors never fail to use it and quote the Shunamite woman and Elijahs story.

5. The entire bibke infact - Pastors today twist and turn the bible to suit their purpose at will. Jesus had 12 disciples, Isreal has 12 tribes, hence 12 is tagged the number of 'perfection' (or something like that). Jesus rose On the thrid day, 3 wise men came to see him, 3 gifts were Given to him, 3 now becomes the number of bountifulness (or some more shiiit likt that). Jesus fasted 40 days, Irealites wanders for 40 years in the wilderness, e.t.c... 40 is not the number for..... Note these number mysteries always end in give offerings that carry the number mystery of the day.. E./ 4.. Give offerings with 4.. 4 naira, 40 naira,n 400 naira, 4 thousand naira, e.t.c.


6. End Time Message: Being used as a threat nowadays. So now people are dying, going to heaven, seeing God, family members, prominent peoples, e.t.c, then he'll as well, same shiiit and come back to become pastors or write books or super evangelists..

"A woman must not wear men's clothing, nor a man wear women's clothing, for the LORD your God detests anyone who does this." (Deuteronomy 22:5).

They don't read other verses of that same chapter, also some have twisted that verse 5 so bad as-- women do not wear trouser(4getting we have male & female trousers)

Now look at other verses of that same DEUTERONOMY 22--

"Do not wear clothes of wool and linen woven together." (Deuteronomy 22:11).

"Do not plant two kinds of seed in your vineyard; if you do, not only the crops you plant but also the fruit of the vineyard will be defiled." (Deuteronomy 22:9).

"Do not plow with an ox and a donkey yoked together." (Deuteronomy 22:10).


WHY AREN'T THEY PREACHING WITH THOSE VERSES?

Afam4eva: I think the original books of the bible should be shown to us written in Hebrew or whatever language it was written in. I think a huge part of the bible has being lost in translation. Those who translated it to English for the first time may have translated based on their understanding of the scripture, so invariably, we may be swallowing someone's shallow understanding of the bible. Not to forget that right now we have different versions of the bible whose supposed aim is to break down the bible but they could also be broken down based on what the writers understand and not what the original writer or God intended for people to understand. That's why churches and denominations have different belief system different from each other.

I think one part of the bible grossly misinterpreted in our religious nigeria is the fact that most people think the main and much sought after blessings of God are mainly material and financial. Yes, God blesses financially, but he is not an idol or a goodluck charm. Get to know God's word people and get to know him personally, so that you'll be truly spiritually blessed. Blessed are the doers of God's word.

If you look carefully, you'll see that Christ and the bible didn't even bother much with the material and financial. The physical and material were treated dismissively in God's word. The real blessings elaborated upon were the spiritual blessings and inheritance of the people of God.

Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with ALL spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

^the verses say its a blessing to be able to stand before God blameless in love. That's REAL blessing. Spiritual blessing. The physical is needed yes, but it isn't primary. Let's get our minds renewed with Gods word.

James 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation:
James 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

It's a blessing to walk in God's word

Peter was simply saying we should be careful of people who twist Paul's letters on grace to mean lawlessness to their own destruction.

If anyone understands Paul's writings and have not twisted them, such a persom will not advocate tithing.

Paul gospel was steeped in the doctrine of grace. An enemy of this grace gospel are doctrines that confuse grace with law. In his time it was circumcision; in our time it is tithing.

The advocates of tithing feel circumcision cannot be compared with tithing. The point they make is that God still circumcises us but in the heart. But that argument is weak in the sense that the law that said people should tithe was made so that religious leaders and the weak could be provided for. Today, there is no law of such nature. THE SAME GOD THAT CAN CIRCUMCISE THE HEART OF STONE AND MAKE IT A HEART OF FLESH, IS ALSO ABLE TO MOVE CHRISTIAN IN THE HEART TO GIVE VIA A FREE WILL OFFERING OR GRACE GIVING WITHOUT THE NEED FOR A LEGALISTIC LAW ON TITHING.

Again, the people who are most guilty of twisting Paul's writings are those who advocate tithing today!

There is no doubt about it that the oga @ the top of twisted scripture is Malachi 3:8-11. It is based on twisting this scripture that the greatest fraud in the history of mankind is being sustained.

With the bolded, it shows you're even twisting it further. Did the bible say a man should love his wife and in turn she will submit? The bible mentions firstly that women should submit and that husbands should love their wives and nowhere was it mentioned that one action should be as a result of the other. They're independent.
I beg to disagree with you on the bolded..Love and submission are interdependent of each other.
According to 1 Corinthians 11:11, in the Lord man is not independent of woman, nor is woman independent of man - we've regained that status of interdependence for which we were originally
created. That's why Galatians 3:27-28 tells us that there is no distinction or preference between men and women, "for we are all one in Christ Jesus."
Note that this interdependence comes with certain responsibilities. Within the context of marriage, the man is to demonstrate his interdependence by loving his wife unconditionally, and she is to demonstrate her interdependence by submitting willingly to his leadership of the family-Ephesians 5:22-33.
In this way, the husband and wife both contribute to bringing out the full potentials of each other.

Yes, the fact that the day God ordained to be the Sabbath day was changed from Saturday to Sunday.... some people say that we're not under the law, we're now under grace but the Bible says that shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?
the Bible also tells us that sin is the transgression of the law....So we should know that the law is there to tell us when we've sinned.... in conclusion If the law has been done away with,definitely there's no sin, and If there's nothing like sin,what then is grace for?

No chance. They prefer to submit to their bosses, sugar daddies, patrons, pastors, and so on - rather than to their boyfriends or husbands. The concept of 'independent woman' in Nigeria means being dependent on other men in order to be independent from the legitimate man in the woman's life, for shakara purposes.

Lol. The scripture of the OP was obviously talking about lawlessness yet we see how it is being twisted to mean something else.
Post the scriptures you stated in your previous post and let us know who has been twisting scriptures to withhold what for their personal selfish gain.
And to think Peter, the speaker, was heading church where people gave their 100% for sharing to all and also enjoyed their own right to eat and drink as Paul said in I Cor. 9.
This your straining at a gnat and obsession for making everything about tithe, just a tenth, without mentioning the other parts of the scriptures in those two bible passages just shows those who twist things to suit their pocket. Please let God's word give you peace of mind....you really need it.

The issue of one man, one woman.
People make it look as though marrying more than one wife is an automatic ticket to Hell. But, on the contrary, God seems to have special likening for polygamists. Or how else do you want to explain His love for people like David, Solomon and Father Abraham.
People say that is old testament, but God is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Another is the issue of tithing. Tithes should be given to the needy. The Holy Bible did not say give to the pastor. How can you ask me to give out my salary to someone like Baba Oyedepo?
