And why should I not, are we afraid of the truth.
You were the one that brought the 'God-factor' into this.
Marriage between cousins has never been a sin or abomination in the Bible .
In fact there are instances where it is mentioned with people who had a personal relationship with God apart from Abraham eg Jacob and Leah and Rachel, Milcah and Nahor.
Having said that , it doesnt mean I would marry my cousin, NO . Rather for the sake of the society and its culture , Christians are commanded to "Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men" (1 Peter 2:13-15, See also Romans 13:1-2)
