Which 'matured dad' will sit behind the computer throwing jabs at anonymous people?

Let me guess, a dad without a job!

I respect it but I don't agree with it.
It's a little too far-fetched.
Far-fetched?
What is far-fetched in just deactivating an ordinary nairaland account, that could wreck your relationship? I know your type lipsrsealed

Many nairalanders have become great story tellers. And most nairalanders have become foolish enough to believe every junk they read. These guys have just been served a silly movie and they actually believe it!!!! No wonder Nollywood believes that the Nigerian audience does not deserve great intellectual movies because our average brain is pea sized.

Why should you be rude/offensive at any point in time? She and others should learn to be decent with their posts.

Luxiana19: Hi Nlanders! Season's greetings y'all.

I want to share what happened just yesterday with u guys.

My friend and I are on Nairaland and we know each others usernames. Well ystdae she was spending Christmas Eve with her boyfriend at his house. Her bfs mum sent him on an errand while she waited for him at home. They were actually using the family computer to watch a movie together before he left so she was alone with the computer after he left. She decided to pause the movie for him and browse through nairaland instead.

Someone was logged into nairaland on the computer. She knew he wasn't the one because she'd asked him before and he said just wanted to sign up one of these days.

Anyway she identified the owner of the profile to be her boyfriend's dad. The username was soo familiar so she went back to her fone and logged into NL politics section.

Lo and behold, she and that username (bf's dad) had once disagreed over something on a thread which had actually blown over to become a full fledged war with name calling and everything.

She traded insults with her bfs dad unknowingly.

Immediately, she called me because her brain just shut down then. I just told her to turn off the system and give her bf's a big excuse and run!!

Right now, she doesn't know to look at her bf's dad without cringing inwardly.

she asked me to post this with my account cuz if she does with hers, her bf's dad may recognize her.

What should she do?

See as woman dey think. Tsk

In my early years on NL, i was frequent in the jokes section criticising jokes and throwin insalts at joke members. My pic was on my profile. I was in Lagos then and so a day i was going somewhere, boarded a bus, paid and settled. Like 10mins later, i got a heavy SLAP on my back neck and i whirled. Everyone was surprised, even d driver almost parked! It was a man- old enough o to be my lipsrsealed that slapped me. He then explained....hmmm....
that i used to insalt and call him names on NL buh never knew i was a small boy buh he recognised my face cuz of my nl profile pic. I was decembarrassed embarassed
THAT WAS WHY I LEFT THE JOKES SECTION!!! This thread brought back the memory smiley Since then, i stopped insalting e-people!!! smiley

What's her fear? Cos Nairaland is one forum that you can actually insult your hubby online without him knowing you are the one.

Op, tailor your lies very well.

You visited a dependant boyfriend in his family house and it turns out all of his household uses same system.(lies)

You have described all that transpired in your dependant boyfriend household on nairaland and you still feel his old man(a nairalander) won't figure things out. The MODs even increase your frustration by bringing it to the front page to enable your 'problem' locate it.

Blatant lies told without recourse to conscience and integrity.

Nairaland is a faceless forum and until u tell someone ur username nobody knws u. My hubby anD i are nairalanders., Even addicts bt guess wat we dont knw our nameS on d forum. D idea of having a faceless forum is defeated if we knw each other cos we will not be free to express our opinion on issues

Nothing! What happens on NL stays on NL. That's why we make use of usernames instead of our real names.
