Damboa Invasion By Boko Haram: Punch Confirms The Insider Story Of A Nlander by Nobody: 6:10am On Jul 30, 2014 |
Few days ago, a Nlander (ugo4u), opened a thread titled "The Insider Story Of Damboa Invasion" where he revealed amongst other things that Damboa was successfully ransacked by Boko Haram because the military left the community to their fate due to connivance of the town with Boko Haram in the past. Below is a quote from that thread Soldiers guarding the community where frequently sabotaged by the so called citizens of Nigeria and in some instances they hid weapons for insurgents to kill soldiers many many men died and many others were left handicapped go to 44 reference hospital kaduna and see for urself the sacrifices of this young men... The army authoritis got angry and left the village since they were the primary cause of death to the troops after several months of whining and dinning with the devil things got sour btw the villagers and insurgents and as Karma wud have it Bokoharam wiped the whole village, the army got wind of the information, in fact the troops 4rm 7th battalion responsible for Damboa where armed with Tarvo 21 with about 2000 rounds of live ammunition per man with avalanche of RPGs that wud flattened an area the size of lagos in 15min, morale was very high but they wanted to teach the villagers a good lesson, which unfortunately most of them where wiped off.For some of us, we were not surprised by the insider story because I have always believed that Boko Haram is still active today in the north simply because of the support they ENJOY from local communities. That is the truth. Once that support is withdrawn, Boko Haram will be like fish out of water and they will be routed. But as for APC e-goats, who are haters of the truth and known sympathisers of Boko Haram for political reasons, the Nlander committed sacrilege for giving us that insider perspective. They launched massive onslaught on ugo4u and discredited both the messenger and the message. Well, Punch has since corroborated that insider story in one of its report today, which is reproduced below FG to deploy 600 commandos in Damboa 33 Likes |

The truth is that, give any junk to APC e-goats (provided it is against the person of His Excellency, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan), they will fall for it without considering the source . However, give them the real thing where Jonathan is not implicated, they immediately go on rage as children of anger. @ Op, thanks for this news! 79 Likes |

This desecrate nigga, are you all right? Why desecrating this thread with your space booking? @topic, I'm not moved a bit. The whole of Borno should be destroyed for all I care; if you aint supporting the government against insurgents, you're sending the message you've willed death as your portion and that is exactly what I wish all them informants and sympathisers.... If the whole community were indeed supporting the insurgents, then why would boko-haram ransacked the whole place? They keep giving excuses for their failures. 38 Likes |

This is really pathetic!!! Boko Haram derive strength from the support of their numerous sympathisers. It makes them believe people are supporting them and increase their morale. The moment ppl stop sympathizing with Boko Haram, this Insurgency will die a natural death. 16 Likes |

Sincere9gerian: The Islamic State, which in June captured a vast stretch of territory in the north including the largest city Mosul, used this strategy when its fighters met armed resistance from the town of al-Alam for 13 days running. They kidnapped 30 local families and rang up the town's most influential citizens with a simple message about the hostages: "You know their destiny if you don't let us take over the town." Within hours, tribesmen and local leaders caved in to save the families. The black flag of the Sunni militants, who are bent on overthrowing the Shi'ite-led Iraqi government, was soon flying over government buildings and police stations in al-Alam. Weeks later, only a few masked gunmen guard checkpoints surrounding al-Alam at night, so comfortable is the Islamic State in its control through fear. "One hundred percent of people are angry that the Islamic State is here but there is nothing we can do," said a scared resident who spoke by telephone on condition of anonymity. Similar accounts of victories by the Islamic State, which has also seized territory in neighboring Syria during the civil war there, are repeated across other towns and villages in Salahuddin province north of Baghdad 5 Likes |

Sincere9gerian:I agree with your 1st paragraph that some civilians are working against the fight of the insurgency. I have also been of the opinion that BH can only be defeated with absolute cooperation of the populace(local) plus competent leadership of the C-in-C. Your 2nd paragraph is so typical of you. Useless and reek bigotry. You are in the same level with Okupe, Abati, Metuh and co. "The lowest level in the mental and psychological strata" 33 Likes |

This is not news to me The north contributed to their present woos. They felt they where doing God a favour until it went beyond their control. I use my small village in the south east for example The small boy you see on the street knows who and who is terrorizing the community, he knows where they keep their ammunitions, he knows who they kidnapped, but he can't say anything cos their Godfathers are in the govt. Talk and die, so they keep watching, hoping God will interven one day. Even wen police arrest the hoodlums, tomorrow you see them walking the streets again, sometimes they are flown abroad. Govt is still very far from the average man not to talk of the poor man. Rather than creating more states, lets focus on activating our LG system, make LG a villages thing, if possible create a 4th tier that will have clan heads as chairmen. I miss village democracy. 6 Likes |

It is a well known fact that the people of the affected areas in the north shield bokoharam members. They walk around like others and their family members knew them. As at last two yrs in maidugri, these people were used to threaten outsiders amongs them eg, if u have a squabble with an indigene,he will tell u he will call boko boiz for u. And sure he will. The wives shield them. The bokoboiz we have since when SAS integrated them as his men has long gone political. SAS used them to intimidate oppositions and when he couldn't come up with most of his promises to them hence dissing them, they now turned against him. They spread their wings to other neboring states and since then,we r reaping the benefits of religious fanatics turned political tugs. Northern politicians, put ur house in order. Jonathan can't and will never do that for u. The monster gave birth to is now hunting u down. Simple law of nature 4 Likes |
