I published an article titled “Scenarios You Can Be Friends With

a picture on Facebook recently with a guy stating that he doesn’t
have any exes, once he breaks up then the chick is dead to him.
This brought me to the realization that some people don’t ever and
I mean ever want to consider remaining friends with their exes.
This could be attributed to different reasons so in this article, I am
going to explore five scenarios remaining friends with your ex will
be foolhardy.

Annoying Exes: Nobody in their right sense seeking sanity and
peace of mind wants to ever remain friends with an ex that was
nothing but annoying through the course of a relationship. More
especially so when the ex seems to be even more clingy after a
break up, many people would rather flee than endure such
annoying behavior.

When You Are Single and Searching: This period is not the most
ideal of times in being friends with an ex. They only remind you of
what it feels like to be in love and their presence can easily cloud
your judgment in wanting to get back together. This may not
necessarily be good for you in the long run.

When Your Ex Did the Dumping: Remaining friends with an ex is
always hard when it is not a mutual breakup and more so if your
ex did the dumping. Nobody likes to be walked out on and your
motive for wanting to remain friends would be considered
suspicious. In truth, you don’t just get over people that fast more
so since they left when you were not ready.

When You Are Jealous of Your Ex: If the lyrics of Justin Bieber’s
“That Should Be Me” or Bruno Mars “When I Was Your Man” is
whatever plays in your head whenever you see your ex, then you
are not in a good emotional state to remain friends. Seeing her
with another guy makes you mad or seeing another chick at the
front seat that used to be your favourite position drives you crazy?
Take a chill pill and let them live their life without you.

Friendship With the Ex is Fruitless: Let’s face it, if you know deep
down your heart that remaining friends with an ex is pointless and
not going to yield any positive fruit in your life, why even try in the
first place? Maybe you even broke up because the relationship
was taking more from you than you were benefitting, biko don’t
even consider the friendship option twice.
