safarigirl: this thread is nonsense. As far as I know, unless you look like Eniola Badmus or you don't know how to package yourself well, there is absolutely NOTHING wrong in being fat in NIGERIA.

This country WORSHIPS fat people. More people think Toolz is sexy in Nigeria than they do Eku Edewor. It's the skinny Naija girls that are agonised. It's the skinny naija girls that can't find their cloth size and have to slim fit everything. This article is a lie
You must be living in another planet where they have another Nigeria.

The trend is changing - Have you ever wondered why folks look at you when you walk into a place and you're fat?

They are simply having a pity party for you because of your size and you take that for admiration then you must be on a long thing.

Fat people in developing countries like Nigeria where the poverty rate is high with little or no medical advice on dieting and healthy living are likely to die before their 40th birthday.

50calibre: Fat people get no sympathy from me, I find them repellant.

Fatness is a choice, being fat typically means you're lazy, careless with your health, and undisciplined.

A fat chic deserves no love because she diesnt love herself.

It's not always true that all fat people are lazy and some people accumulate fat due to certain health/medical condition.

On the flip side, excessive fat is nasty especially those ones you could hear their breathing from a mile away after climbing the stairs.

There is nothing wrong with being fat provided it is natural (natural built to be fat), however in 99% cases, it is not.

breakfast- agege bread + ewa agonyin (beans) + 3 litres of tea/peakmilk or cowbell (chemical) + 5 table spoon full of white sugar

on the way to work/school- ghana puffpuff

at work/school (lunch)- rice, chicken + cow's guts + pork + plantain + pepsi or coke + not to be stupid one bag of untreated pure-water

on the way home - 3 gala, a bowl of ice-cream, not to be stupid(so that it won't hang my troat) another mirinda.

dinner - eba or amala, or moi moi, or fufu +ewedu + eran malu, shaki, ponmo, + 2 litre of tea (cos you don't want to get up too much to ease at night (pissing not shitting) with cowbell and 5 table spoon full of white sugar.

he or she is chopping life to the fullest, life is good

next day, if he/she is lucky, he go toliet to shit out the previous breakfast, he/she still has four large meals in his/her guts. add another 5 meals, shit out the 2 days ago ghana buns on the third day. he/she now has 8 meals in his/her guts, pork worms running things thru those rotting waste in a person. then he begins to get fat around all the organs and unburstable pimple.

at 45 years of age, he died in an hotel making love, the blackman will say magunnnn, magun ni o. oti o, its not magun, it is gluttony! and overweight.

ONE MEAL A DAY! WITH A LOT OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES. LOT OF WATER. FEW TIMES A WEEK, TEA OR COFFEE, LITTLE SUGAR. NAVY BEANS IS VERY NICE. THE OLDER THE BREAD IS THE BETTER (NOT A STALE BREAD) COS BREAD BLOOTS (SWEARS A LOT IN THE STOMACH). NO PORK!

RESULTS. LOOSE WEIGHT, SAVE MONEY, NO NEED FOR DOCTOR, LESS PAIN, NO DIABETES + 95 YEARS STILL LOOKING LIKE 45! ITS HARD, GIVE IT A TRY.

Some fat chics are manageable, but those ones with saggy bellies... Yuck!!!

With fatness comes a variety of health problems, diabetes, high blood pressure, rheumatism, snoring, heart problems, stroke, sleep apnea, elevated levels of cholesterol, higher risk of kidney failure, increased chances of cancer et al

As a matter of fact, a fat person is a ticking time bomb, he or she has a shortened life span, and could drop dead any day.

Fatness is nothing to be proud of, it's sheer ignorance to say you're proud of your fatness.

These days they've given fatness fancy words like chubby, curvy looool I laugh when I see fat chics call themselves curvy.

In terms of a relationship with a fat chic, it's a fu*king nightmare. Some look good on cloths because the cloths hold their fatty bits in place, but When they take those cloths off, all you see are rolls of cellulite & fat hanging everywhere, it's disgusting. (I'm talking from first hand experience)

Fat chics are prone to body odour, they often produce a putrid stench from their privates so their hygiene has got to be on point.

If you're fat, you're as good as dead. Simples!!! I will rather be castrated than marry a fat chic.

Article written by Jennifer Ogoo Okolo. Enjoy...

"The Fat girl ends up miserable year after year. The society has neglected the fuller woman. This has resulted to fat girls feeling depressed, left-out and downcast. The average big lady spends most of their years in solitude, angry at themselves, the society and even their shadow. Many are being laugh at, ridiculed, jilted, abused and sent back indoors where they are depressed and even get fatter. The society is such a big nightmare for this group of people which is saddening."

When they go for shopping which is a very beautiful and fun experience for almost every lady. But for the fat girl, it’s a rather sober experience. In many cases, sizes are deceptive to the extent that a size 12 dress will be tagged size 18. She has to through every cloth in the store before she finds what fits her. Sometimes, she ends up not seeing any flattering outfit. Again, the sadness begins.

Then she turns to her tailor to make a good dress for her. A beautifully styled dress she saw in a magazine page. The tailor makes it, it’s still not flattering. Sarcastically, the tailor says, “I find it difficult sewing for fat girls, it is too hard”. Again, the sadness begins.

Her soon-to-be-married best friend calls, “Wendy, will you be one of my bridesmaids”? “Don’t answer of course you will”. She is excited.“Will call you up later so we go choose the dresses with the other girls”. Her heart drops. Shopping bridesmaids with the other girls, she knows will be a huge nightmare because she is the “fat girl”. While shopping, The saleslady says, "We don't have your size, so here's the biggest we do have," and she gives it a try. Of course, it never fits. Her underarm fat is spilling over, her back fat is folding over the waist, and she can't get the thing to slip over her butt. But it looks beautiful on everyone else! And she is left feeling guilty for being more than a handful. Again, the sadness begins.

At NYSC orientation camp. The fat girl is handed her dress bag. She opens it. The kaki trouser is as small as a size 6’s whereas she is a size 18. “Ma’am, dis kaki is too small for me, can I get a larger size”, she says to the platoon mistress. The lady murmurs, “Exchange with someone else”. (lol, we’ve all experienced this). And she looks around, no one has her size. Most of other corpers, she may ask will reply saying, “NOO!!! I no carry orobo size”. Everyone laughs at her. Again, the sadness begins.

Every fat lady go through post-traumatic dress disorder. It is the condition that occurs when a person, usually female, feels disappointed and traumatized while leaving a clothing store. It could happen when she views old photographs and asks herself "What the hell was I wearing" It could also be the traumatic stress she feels between the moment she post a picture on the Internet and the moment somebody likes it or responds. Fat people go through this stress all the time and the society is not being fair at all. 80% of Heart-related illnesses which fat people suffer are because they spend most of their years depressed, not just about their size but because of social prejudicial.

what about me thats tall? that happens to me in nysc camp that i have to look for the longest trousers yet io couldnt find any. i wore it like that till orientation was concluded. come and see me, the trousers was flying high. i must admit, i always feel sad if i saw a cloth but i couldnt get my size and lenght

I wouldn't know cuz I'm skinny and nobody looks at me when I enter a room. At least fat people get looked at.

Oh, you mean you haven't heard all the 'skinny' jokes?

1) If you get on a bike people say you'll fly of it.

2) You don't wear clothes, clothes wear you

3) I doubt a fat person has ever been asked "how will you carry a child when you're so skinny?"

4) Oh and the best of them all, you're called names like 'stick' 'kpekere' 'sugarcane' 'bone'

Oh, things are 'awesome' for skinny people, we're so glad we're in a country like Nigeria where EVERYONE likes us and random guys walk up to us and chat as up cuz we look good.

There shouldn't be any pity party for fat people. Lose the weight fat swine!

This is an exception however, most fat people don't fall under this exception. Most actually eat themselves to fatness over time, and then they acquire different sorts of illnesses then making its near impossible to lose the weight.

Fatness is gradual process, that's why is good to tackle it early.
