Their problem is that they keep thinking we can not reason. This is the most annoying part of all their attitude ; insulting our intelligence.

My problem with the involvement of Pastor Ayo in this whole saga is the fact that he got his jet as gift to propagate the gospel of Christ.

If he knew his ministry wasn't ripe for such an adventure of owning a jet with all the attendant cost he could have turned down the gift or better still, collected the cash equivalent.

To collect it and then put same to commercial use is, to mine mind, not right.

As for whether we needed to buy arms through the back door and with civilian running the errand, I say yes, considering the constraints

But busses registered and marked evangelism boldly ply as public transport. Even some students' busses clearly marked thus ply interstate for commercial purposes.

Falana, na only you study law?

Pastor Ayo is CAN President and has interests in a company that owns a jet. The jet was leased out to another company. Their story. What I'm not understanding here is that is the lessor company registered under Part C of CAMA? The legal giant does not sound convinced about that. There's nowhere in our law that says a Pastor cannot venture into business.

More than the 9.3 is being used to bribe members of the national assembly and the Senate not to debate the issue.
This country is finished.

His argument: the jet was registered as private, but it is being used as a cargo jet to ferry cash. Just as a registered private car could be illegally used as a bullion van. Hope you now get?

stopdat: Human rights lawyer, Mr. Femi
Falana (SAN), has accused the
President of the Christian
Association of Nigeria, Pastor Ayo
Oritsejafor, of breaching the
provisions of the Company and
Allied Matters Act through the use of
a private jet belonging to a company
in which he had interest to smuggle
$9.3m cash to South Africa.
Falana said by the provisions of
CAMA, the jet which was allegedly
registered for the facilitation of
evangelism could not be leased to
another company for commercial
purpose, as CAN had said while
defending Oritsejafor.
The lawyer said this in a paper he
delivered at a seminar organised for
the Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission’s prosecutors by the
Justice Research Institute in Abuja.
He described as diversionary, the
statement credited to CAN that the
jet had been leased to another
company, apparently to deny
Oritsejafor’s involvement in the jet’s
mission to South Africa.
He said, “Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, the
President of the Christian
Association of Nigeria, whose private
jet was used to ferry the money to
South Africa, has denounced those
who have dared to challenge the
involvement of a plane bought for
evangelism in the alleged smuggling
of laundered money.
“In spite of the diversionary
statement of CAN, the influential
pastor cannot dismiss the scandal
with a wave of the hand. With
respect, the explanation by CAN that
the jet was leased to another
company is an admission of the
breach of the law.
“A jet registered for the facilitation of
evangelism cannot be leased to
another company for commercial
purposes, as churches are
registered under part C of the
Company and Allied Matters Act as
non-profit making organisations.”
He noted that many Nigerian pastors
had been indicted in the United
Kingdom for investing church funds
in violation of the Charity Act.
He, therefore, said the CAN President
should apologise to Nigerians if he
was lucky to escape prosecution for
a breach of the provisions of CAMA.
The lawyer said, “In recent time,
some of our pastors have been
indicted in the United Kingdom for
investing church funds in business
in violation of the Charity Act.
“If Pastor Oritsejafor is lucky that he
is not prosecuted for breaching the
CAMA, he owes Nigerians a public
apology. The CAN leadership cannot
afford to engage in attacking its
political opponents in a matter
pertaining to the breach of the law.”
Falana also called for the adoption
of the recommendation of the
National Conference that the office
of the Attorney-General of the
Federation should be separated
from that of the Minister of Justice
and those of the attorneys-general
of various states be separated from
that of the commissioners for
justice.

So he's now using his private jet gift to make money which no doubt will go into his private account eh?
It baffles me how he conveniently leased out the jet in August 2014 for other business, back then he said owning a standby private jet was a necessity and not a luxury for him, he can move around easier and faster etc.. what if a christian emergency (excuse my English) comes during the period its out on lease because I believe God's work cannot be predicted, it can take one anywhere and at anytime, how does he move or will he arrange it so that there'll be no trips till the jet comes back?

Let this man indeed "look beyond his bling".

It's very shameful how Oritsefemi has gradually and successfully made CAN a joke in Nigeria. To think that a man who prides himself around heavily laden with blings and chains of different shapes and sizes like a gangster..
If a gangsta could do it, so can Iristejafor. Check all the gangstas below out. They (including Oritsejafor) are all wearing a "Jesus piece". But the first and second are the most telling: a crucifix on a Jesus piece. grin

If he aspires to become a rapper, he should get on with the grind already. If no record label agrees to sign him, he should create one and fvcking sign himself, after all, he already got the looks, the money, and the swagg grin

So Mr. Oritsejafor you are using your jet registered for Evangelical purposes to do "kabu kabu"? What a show of shame. grin

Why should you own an
aircraft in the first place
whether it was given to you
by Dangote or Bill Gates
while the people you claim
to lead die of hunger and
curable and treatable
diseases. Mr man, you dont
need an aircraft for any
reason. Sell it and use the
money to cater for the poor
and the needy . That’s your
job for mankind on this
earth.

MATTHEW 24:42-44 Watch therefore, for you do not
know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this,
that if the master of the house had known what hour
the thief would come, he would have watched and not
allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also
be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you
do not expect.
If you will like to totally surrender your life to Jesus
Christ..... DELAYING IS COSTLY!!! YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT WILL HAPPEN THE NEXT HOUR
